Last Sunday, Pope Francis came out on Saint Peter’s Square and said, as part of his prayer: “According to ancient tradition, may the Olympics be an opportunity to establish a truce in wars, demonstrating a sincere will for peace.” ( See post below). Yesterday, the man who played a central role in causing the war and the religious violence in Ukraine, Pat. Bartholomew underscored the significance of the Olympic truce and expressed his fervent hope for ending wars and establishing peace, particularly in Ukraine and the Middle East. “Let’s join voices with Pope Francis in support of the Olympic Truce,” he stressed (link here).
What supreme, shameless hypocrites!! These globalist religious leaders are very selective when using the ancient Greek “Olympic” ideals. Our ancient ancestors indeed stopped war during the Olympics. And they never excluded anyone who happened to be involved in a war!! While today, the West excludes Russia!! What right do they have to do so? What right do they have to claim that they are faithful to the ancient Greek Olympic ideal?
Finally, weren’t the Olympics part of the “Pagan” world? Wasn’t it a central “Pagan” ritual? What right do they have even to pronounce the word “Olympics”? Shame, shame, shame…
If Mitsotakis was not the puppet that he truly is, he should take this tremendous opportunity to call for the permanent return of the Olympics to Greece, where the Olympic ideals are to be safeguarded for eternity!…

Pope Francis calls for Olympic truce for countries at war, prays for peace
The Pope stressed that sport also has “a great social power, capable of peacefully uniting people from different cultures.”
“According to ancient tradition, may the Olympics be an opportunity to establish a truce in wars, demonstrating a sincere will for peace,” Francis said during his Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square.

The opening ceremony of the 33rd Olympic Games will be held in Paris on July 26 with the participation of 205 delegations of athletes, who will parade on more than 80 boats on the Seine.
“I hope that this event can be a sign of the inclusive world we want to build and that the athletes, with their sporting testimony, may be messengers of peace and valuable models for the young,” Francis added.
The pope, as always, asked the faithful to pray for peace, recalling the ongoing conflicts around the world.
“Let us not forget the martyred Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Myanmar, and many other countries at war. Let us not forget, war is a defeat,” he concluded.
Right you are Nick .. and I wonder why the Ancient Greeks really wanted a Truce for ? How about having the best athletes available from the waring wars to compete , not professional athletes like today .. who spend their entire lives training and preparing at state funded training centers in America and Europe or privately funded Professional Sports enterprises to compete to bring home .. medals and lucrative Advertising and Promotional contracts , and maybe , make a bundle being chosen to have a place on the Cereal cover of a leading Cereal company , or more importantly, commanding milions of dollars to paste any number of label of their sponsors all over their billboard bodies ! Hillarious , of course they ban Russia from the Olympics .. and from Europe , all for the same reasons ..to obstruct competition threatening their monopoly of Gold medals in the Olympics , like they threaten their business monopolies in EU/Nato countries and world ! If the Pope and Patriarch were serious , why don’t they recommend the “Banning of All countries” who fund these Wars from the Olympic games ? Can you imagine that .. The U.S delegation would never see another Olympic Game .. And no one has ever been able to compete with US funding levels of wars since 1996 ..is 20 Trillion dollars ! And no one has ever matched the Military budget of America to wage endless war .. which now has risen to 900 billion dollars and rising which is more than the Top 20 military budgets of the next 20 countries of the entire world combined! Russia’s budget is 60 billion dollars ! The Ancient Greeks .. biggest mistake is that they did not Trade Mark their Olympics properly.. and have lost the licensing Rights revenue from the U.S business enterprise ! Imagine if the Ancient Greek were running the Olympics ….no foreign country or countries will be dictating rules to them, which modern Greece allows everyday , even to wage war on Russia! Nick .. you are right .. and your outrage is right , but we live in a world where nothing appears to be as it is in this world …their world!
