EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis).  Helleniscope has repeatedly referred to the known trend in Mt. Athos of monks moving out of the regular monasteries to “cells” or “sketes” (We chose to call them “hermits”).  The reason they usually give is that they are tired of secularism through excessive tourism.  The authors of this letter claim that about 70% of the over 2,000 monks of Athos live away from the main monasteries.  I am not sure is the exact percentage is 70% but I have verified through several sources that they are the overwhelming majority.  Let me also point out here that a few years ago, Pat. Bartholomew, being the arrogant and egotistical person he is, had threatened those monks who did not memorialize him with eviction from their monasteries or cells/sketes…  Now these monks are ready to fight next to Esfigmenou monks for the historic self-governance of Athos…

Open letter of the Holy Fathers of Kelliotes to the rulers of the Holy Land

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

To :
The Abbots, Representatives of the Holy Monasteries
and all the Administrators who govern this Holy Place of Mount Athos.

We know that the total living force of the Holy Mountain is 2,100 monks and hieromonks, of which two-thirds -2/3- i.e., approximately 1,400 live in Holy Cells and Sketes, and the remaining seven hundred -700- in the Holy Twenty -20- known Commons.

First of all, it is clarified that the Voice of the Kelliotes is NOT represented in the institutional governing bodies of the Holy Land after the adoption of the Charter (K.X.A.O. 1924) and ratification by the Legislative Decree (N.D.) 1926, Article of the Constitution Greece 105.

Seeing and much more experiencing the modern persecutions of the Holy Fathers in the year 2024, officially with our letter to the Governors of the Holy Mountain and to the knowledge of the whole professed Christian faithful of the Ecumenical (not ecumenist… ) Orthodox Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, Greeks, Russians, Serbians, Bulgarians, Romanians, Georgians and all Nations of the World.

We announce OUR absolute OPPOSITION to the persecutions that have been raging here for years in the Holy Mountain with a constant increase in intensity and formalization on the part of “Caesar” (see document with number Prot. 6540/23/19-a΄/ 16.7. 2024 of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, with which the support of the Holy Community and the Monasteries is requested to execute evictions in the premises of the Holy Mountain, because only the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece has jurisdiction and not the Ministry of Citizen Protection.

Thinking that the Governors (many of them potentially excommunicated…!!! ) that we are inactive or wrongly concluding that we are afraid of them, we will tell them one thing:
“My vengeance, I repay, says the Lord” (Rom. Chapter 14, verse 19).

However, our letter is NOT written for these followers of Antichrist and excommunicated…, but is addressed (as we wrote from the beginning) to the twenty Abbots and twenty Representatives and all the Administrators governing the Holy Land,

If you continue with your inaction and silence to give rights “where you should not mingle” (Saint John Chrysostom, In the Acts, PG, 60, 351) for the destruction of the Self-Government of the Holy Land, which was respected by all the barbarians and temporary conquerors of our Place, then we will thunder it

WOE  UNTO YOU!

The betrayal of the catalysis of the self-governing and consequently of the ABATΟΝ with the aim of secularization as a tourist resort and a business center of speculation, will gather upon you the curses of all our Holy Fathers, from the foundation of the Holy Land until today, together with the in our lives, because you grossly wrong us with your silence and inaction.

Enough of the treacherous collusion with the antichrist Caesar.

Enough of going along with illegality.

Consenting to injustice is enough.

“Have you not seen that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?” (1 Cor. VI, verse 9).

At last

“Learn justice, you who dwell on the earth” (Isaiah, KXT, verse 9).

We, as Holy Fathers of Kelliott,

Commemorating and not commemorating (the Patriarch), distinguished and not distinguished, we invite you and beg you to become fellow travelers in the Confession of Faith in our time against the forces that are now visible to the contrary.

Otherwise the treason of the current rulers will be unforgivable both now and in the future ages, because they consciously kept silent about the treason…

Κοίμηση τῆς Ὑπεραγίας καὶ Ἀειπαρθένου Θεοτόκου.

Πρός :
Τούς Καθηγουμένους, Ἀντιπροσώπους τῶν Ἱερῶν Μονῶν
καὶ ὅλους τοὺς Προϊσταμένους, τοὺς διοικοῦντας τὸν Ἅγιο τοῦτο Τόπο τοῦ Ἄθωνος.

Γνωρίζουμε ὅτι ἡ συνολικὴ ἔμψυχος δύναμη τοῦ Ἁγίου Ὅρους εἶναι 2.100 μοναχοὶ καὶ Ἱερομόναχοι, ἀπὸ τοὺς ὁποίους τὰ δύο τρίτα -2/3- δηλαδὴ οἱ 1.400 περίπου ἐγκαταβιοῦν σὲ Ἱερὰ Κελλιὰ καὶ Σκῆτες, οἱ δὲ ὑπόλοιποι ἑφτακόσιοι -700- στὰ Ἱερὰ εἴκοσι -20- γνωστὰ Κοινόβια.

Ἐν πρώτοις ἀποσαφηνίζεται  ὅτι ἡ Φωνή τῶν Κελλιωτῶν ΔΕΝ ἐκπροσωπεῖται στὰ θεσμικὰ ὄργανα διοικήσεως τοῦ Ἁγίου Ὄρους μετὰ τὴν ἐπιβολὴ τοῦ Καταστατικοῦ Χάρτου (Κ.Χ.Α.Ο.1924) καὶ ἐπικυρώσεως μὲ τὸ Νομοθετικὸ Διάταγμα (Ν.Δ.) 1926, Ἄρθρο Συντάγματος Ἑλλάδος 105.

Βλέποντας καὶ πολὺ περισσότερο βιώνοντας τοὺς σύγχρονους Διωγμοὺς Ἁγιορειτῶν Πατέρων ἐν ἔτει 2024, ἐπίσημα μὲ τὴν ἐπιστολή μας πρὸς τοὺς Διοικοῦντας τὸ Ἅγιον Ὅρος καὶ πρὸς ἐπίγνωση τοῦ ὅλου Χριστεπωνύμου Πληρώματος τῆς Ἀπανταχοῦ Οἰκουμενικῆς (ὄχι οἰκουμενιστικῆς … ) Ὀρθόδοξης Ἐκκλησίας τοῦ Θεανθρώπου Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, Ἑλλήνων, Ρώσων, Σέρβων, Βουλγάρων, Ρουμάνων, Γεωργιανῶν καὶ ὅλων τῶν Ἐθνῶν τῆς Οἰκουμένης ^.

Γνωστοποιοῦμε τὴν ἀπόλυτη ΑΝΤΙΘΕΣΗ ΜΑΣ γιὰ τοὺς διωγμοὺς ποὺ μαίνονται ἐδῶ καὶ χρόνια στὸ Ἅγιον Ὄρος μὲ συνεχῆ αὔξηση τῆς ἐντάσεως καὶ ἐπισημοποιήσεως ἐκ μέρους τοῦ «Καίσαρος» (βλπ. ἔγγραφο μὲ ὑπ’ ἀριθμὸ Πρωτ. 6540/23/19-α΄/ 16.7.2024 Ὑπουργείου Προστασίας τοῦ Πολίτη, μὲ τὸ ὁποῖο αἰτεῖται ἡ παροχὴ συνδρομῆς  τῆς Ἱ. Ἐπιστασίας, Ἱ. Κοινότητας καὶ Ἱ. Μονῶν γιὰ τὴν ἐκτέλεση ἐξώσεων σὲ χώρους τῆς Ἁγιορείτικης πολιτείας), κατά παραβίαση τοῦ Κ.Χ.Α.Ο. διότι ἁρμοδιότητα ἔχει μόνο τὸ Ὑπουργεῖο Ἐξωτερικῶν Ἑλλάδος καὶ ὄχι τὸ Ὑπουργεῖο Προστασίας Πολίτη.

Νομίζοντας οἱ Κυβερνῶντες (πολλοὶ ἀπὸ αὐτοὺς ἐν δυνάμει ἀφορισμένοι …!!! ) ὅτι ἀδρανοῦμε ἢ λανθασμένα συμπεραίνοντας ὅτι τοὺς φοβόμαστε, ἕνα θὰ τοὺς ποῦμε :
«ἐμοὶ ἐκδίκησις, ἐγὼ ἀνταποδώσω, λέγει Κύριος» (Ρωμ.Κεφ.ΙΒ΄, στιχ.19).

Ἡ ἐπιστολή μας ὅμως ΔΕΝ συντάσσεται γι’ αὐτούς τοὺς ἀντίχριστους καὶ ἀφορισμένους…, ἀλλὰ ἀπευθύνεται (ὅπως γράψαμε ἐξ ἀρχῆς ) στοὺς εἴκοσι Καθηγουμένους καὶ εἴκοσι Ἀντιπροσώπους καὶ ὅλους τοὺς Προϊσταμένους διοικοῦντας τὸ Ἅγιον Ὄρος,

Ἐὰν συνεχίσετε μὲ τὴν ἀπραξία σας καὶ τὴν ἀφωνία σας νὰ δίνουν δικαιώματα «ἐν οὐ παικτοῖς» (Ἅγιος Ἰωάννης Χρυσόστομος, Εἰς τὰς Πράξεις, PG, 60, 351 ) γιὰ τὴν κατάλυση τοῦ Αὐτοδιοικήτου τοῦ Ἁγίου Ὄρους ποὺ τὸ σεβάστηκαν ὅλοι οἱ βάρβαροι καί προσωρινοὶ κατακτητὲς τοῦ Τόπου μας, τότε θὰ βροντοφωνήσουμε τό

ΑΛΛΟΙΜΟΝΟ Σ’ ΕΣΑΣ.

Ἡ προδοσία τῆς καταλύσεως τοῦ αὐτοδιοικήτου καὶ κατὰ συνέπεια τοῦ ΑΒΑΤΟΥ μὲ στόχο τὴν ἐκκοσμίκευση ὡς τουριστικὸ θέρετρο καὶ ἐπιχειρηματικὸ κέντρο κερδοσκοπίας, θὰ συγκεντρώσει ἐπάνω σ’ ἐσᾶς τὶς κατάρες ὅλων τῶν Ἁγίων Πατέρων μας, τῶν ἀπὸ ἱδρύσεως τοῦ Ἁγίου Ὄρους ἕως καὶ σήμερα, μαζὶ μὲ τὶς ἐν ζωῇ δικές μας, διότι μᾶς ἀδικεῖτε κατάφορα μὲ τὴν ἀφωνία  καὶ τὴν ἀπραξία σας.

Φτάνει ἡ προδοτική σύμπλευση μὲ τὸν ἀντίχριστο Καίσαρα.

Φτάνει ἡ συμπόρευση μὲ τὴν ἀνομία.

Φτάνει ἡ συγκατάθεση μὲ τὴν ἀδικία.

«Οὐκ οἴδατε ὅτι ἄδικοι βασιλείαν Θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσι ;» (Α΄Κορ. ΣΤ΄,στίχ.9).

Ἐπιτέλους

«Δικαιοσύνην μάθετε, οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς» (Ἠσαΐας ,ΚΣΤ΄, στίχ.9).

Ἐμεῖς ὡς Ἁγιορεῖτες Κελλιῶτες Πατέρες,

Μνημονεύοντες καὶ μὴ μνημονεύοντες (τὸν Πατριάρχη), ἀποτειχισμένοι καὶ μὴ ἀποτειχισμένοι, σᾶς προσκαλοῦμε καὶ παρακαλοῦμε νὰ γίνετε συνοδοιπόροι στὴν Ὁμολογία Πίστεως στὴν ἐποχή μας ἐνάντια στὶς ὀφθαλμοφανεῖς πλέον ἀντίχριστες δυνάμεις.

Εἰδάλλως ἡ προδοσία τῶν σημερινῶν διοικούντων θὰ εἶναι  ἀσυγχώρητη καὶ στὸ νῦν καὶ στὸ μέλλοντα αἰῶνα, διότι σιώπησαν συνειδητὰ στὴν προδοσία…
