Iran, who had declared not to put boots on the ground in Lebanon, decided yesterday to hit Israel with about 200 missiles, a much more powerful hit than the one last April. After so many assassinations in the last few weeks and months, it was an inevitable decision. We should, however, note these facts:
- The decision was made against the liberal, pro-Western, moderate policies of its prime minister, Mr. Pezeskian – and it seems he was not informed.
- Russia and China pressed Iran for the same style of attack as last Spring. Not only were they informed in advance, but the US was also informed, and the Western media announced the upcoming attack hours before it happened.
- The goal was obviously to avoid casualties and to give an impression of moderation quite the opposite of the barbaric acts of Israel both in Gaza and in Lebanon – and it was successful. No casualties were reported.
But the fact is that the attack was quite successful, and penetrated the “Iron Dome,” turning it into Swiss cheese. Two Israeli air bases were hit hard, but reports about destroying F-35s or F-16s have not been verified. The Mossad headquarters outside Tel Aviv were leveled. Here are some videos to prove it:
It is noteworthy that although the Israelis had advance knowledge of the attack, they were not able to thwart it, and that shows precisely the failure of their Iron Dome. As I noted, this Iranian missile attack was more powerful than the previous one in April, but Iran did not use the best missiles in its arsenal. However, the missiles Iran used were hypersonic against which Iron Dome is basically useless.
You can be sure that if Israel attacks again, there will be a much more powerful response, and the attacks will escalate. For example, if Israel hits Iranian oil wells or oil facilities, you can be sure that Israeli oil and gas offshore platforms in the Eastern Mediterranean will be destroyed. In the past, these have already been attacked by Hezbollah. There are reports that Israel has already evacuated these platforms. Also Russia and China will not stay inactive. In another post today, we refer to Russia’s warning to Israel to get out of Lebanon immediately.
The US might get involved in a war against Iran, as Netanyahu pulls America by the nose. Unfortunately, the Zionists and the war “uni-party” on both sides of the Atlantic, in their delusionary dreams, do not understand the limited extent of their power: One sunk American warship (much more an aircraft carrier) will be the symbolic end of the American dominance.
I will close this piece by noting that if the DC uni-party is hell-bent, as they seem to be, on electing Kamala Harris and maintaining “their power,” they might keep on that road. They will cause a major war and postpone elections “for later,” but they will lose their global dominance. This is the end of their game—no matter what road they take.

If there really was a significant and deliberate attack by Israel on Russian interests, Russia did not take the bait. Good news for now, for both Israel and the US.
John, Nick, et al: spot-on! We are seeing the apogee of Israel as an independent state. It’s possible that it’s past its apogee.
I can say the same about the US. Although our military can do much damage to any nation (even a peer or near-peer adversary), the fact that we add $1 trillion to the National Debt every 100 days will act as a constraint (to say the least). Unless it is reversed and I doubt that it can be reversed, we will see the US fracture into various regions.
But that’s a story for another day.
P.S. I think NATO’s best days are behind them as well.
