With Blood In Their Hands From “Project Ukraine,” the Archons “Honor” Yulia Navalnaya

EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis).  They have destroyed everything they – and Pat. Bartholomew – has touched in the last few years and, above all, in “Project Ukraine.”  Just this past week, we had a loud example of violence in Cherkasy, where the Ukro-Nazis destroyed the local Cathedral, and Metropolitan Theodosius was attacked and beaten (link here). The “Project Ukraine” is collapsing, and it is a matter of time before the Kyiv regime surrenders.  No matter what the final “peace agreement” is, does anyone of the Archons think that the Russians will sign ANY agreement before they make sure that the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (UOC – autonomous under Moscow – representing 70% of faithful) is guaranteed and restored fully to its previous status with all their Churches returned?

Further, does anyone believe that Russia will ever sign any agreement without making sure that the Russian language will be spoken freely within the “democracy” of Ukraine as it was before the war, when 50% of the inhabitants of Ukraine – including Zelensky – spoke Russian?… Why are the Archons acting against the Church’s and Orthodoxy’s interests?

Unless they have already planned to accept Met. Epiphanios, “Of No Ukraine,” here in the US, and start paying him. The moment is not far away. Please tell Elaine Allen to allow a new item in next year’s expense budget.

Yulia Navalnaya Meets with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros

On October 18, 2024, Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of the late Alexie Navalny and chairperson of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF), visited with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros at the Archdiocesan headquarters: the visit underscored the Archbishop’s affirmation of the right of all human persons, as beings created in the image of God, to equal and fair treatment under their respective nations’ laws. Alexie and Yulia Navalny worked tirelessly to hold accountable those who abuse political power. Mr. Navalny, who was arrested on multiple occasions, poisoned with a soviet-era nerve agent, and ultimately imprisoned for a term of 19 years in one of Russia’s most extreme labor camps—located north of the Arctic Circle—paid the ultimate price for speaking out against rampant corruption, abuse of power, and threats to civil rights. Alexei Navalny’s memoir, which will be released this coming Tuesday, serves as his “final letter to the world” and outlines the stakes for which his wife continues to fight (Penguin Random House).

Mrs. Navalnaya will be presented with the 2024 Athenagoras Human Rights Award by the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate at this year’s Annual Archon Weekend. Despite an arrest warrant issued in absentia by a Russian court on charges of “extremism,” Navalnaya has effectively assumed the leadership of the Russian Opposition that her late husband led. Not only has Navalnaya raised her voice in defense of both human rights and a transparent and fair election process, she has also publicly called out President Putin on multiple occasions: first by posting her petition to President Putin to have her poisoned husband flown to Germany for testing and treatment, and more recently in a post on X in which she named Putin as a criminal and a murderer. In the face of her open arrest warrant—on the same charge as that which resulted in her husband’s imprisonment and subsequent death—together with the knowledge of Putin’s history of assassinating those who oppose him (regardless of infringement upon sovereign soil), her persistence in speaking truth to those in power recalls the steadfastness of Russia’s new martyrs of the Stalinist regime.

  1. Helleniscope seems to be conflicted here. On the one hand, you praise Putin and take his side on the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war, while on the other hand you seem to agree in this article that he is a corrupt leader. Can you please provide some clarification on your stance?

    • I have explained my stance several times in the past few years. Putin is an authoritarian leader. And I have promoted people to take a look to a classic sociology book “Oriental Despotism) that came out ion the 1950s, by Karl August Wittfogel. Countries like Russia and China, either because of land size or because of population size they cannot have “western-style” democratic systems (which today cannot be characterized as democracies anymore). Oriental countries like Russia and China, never in their history had “democracy” but some type of centrally controlled system.
That aside, Putin is not as ruthless as most Czars. And we have to recognize that he acts patriotically. He never intended to have a conflict with the Ukrainians, as long as Russia, a great power, had peace at its borders. It is well documented now that he asked that Russia be included in NATO and American presidents laughed at him.
I am not conflicted at all. I spent countless efforts explaining for example that Sevastopol, the main Russian naval base in Crimea, was established by Catherine the Great it the 1770s and operated continuously for 250 years. How can anyone in his right mind accuse Russia for wanting to keep its main naval base? As far as corruption, from what I know, Putin is less corrupt than most Western leaders – and especially Biden and his family…
Ask any specific questions you want. But in closing I will tell you that the most educated Greek of our times, Sir Basil Markesinis, the #1 authority in International Law globally (died two years ago) recognized Vladimir Putin as one of the greatest modern leaders. We judge leaders in terms of a few basic criteria: vision and patriotism for their country, skills and intelligence and finally integrity. You can add a few more – but no matter how you slice it Putin comes out on top.

  2. Isn’t that a huge provocation? Why GOArch had to interfere in Russian politics? I think even Elpi wouldn’t take such an initiative by himself. I believe that it is definitely something that Elpi was ordered to do from above… He had to give an award to a proven adulteress!

  3. I wonder if the “clown-cons” and “leader-less 100” have realized yet (probably not because they don’t rank that high on the IQ scale), that by working to undermine Russian interests ie Ukraine, they have painted a big red target on their backs and are now on Russia’s radar. (Not necessrily that they are targets for elimination-they’re not that important) but a lot of them have financial interests which can be affected in a million different ways. They should put down the cheap champagne they drink at the GOA banquets and think about that for a moment. It’s one thing to play the bigshot in your local parish and another to play with the might of a superpower. Some advice if any are reading this: I wouldn’t take a trip to Russia pretty much ever from here on, if I were any of you, lest you end up in a Russian prison in Siberia. Do they realize Russia is fighting an actual war which it is directly-territorily involved in? This isn’t a conflict in some far off land that Russia is fighting, its on their doorstep. They should think twice if its worth it to be galavanting around with elpithoforos and the patriarch playing the tough guy trying to undermine Russia with respect to Ukraine-which we all know is a lost cause. It’s a dangerous and stupid game they are playing. Personally I’d want to be as far away from the GOA at this point as possible.

  4. “Putin is not as ruthless as most Czars” I for one find this statement quite offensive !
You have not walked in their shoes ! All you say , is repeating what you have been taught from Western history !

    • You are right – I don’t know Russian history in such depth, although some Czars were notorious for being ruthless. I should have compared Putin to Soviet rulers – for whom I know more than enough. But the point I was trying to make is different: ruthless or not, Putin is a great leader no matter which leadership criteria one uses.
Furthermore “democratic” election has never been among the qualities historians use to determine who is a good leader. I have said numerous times in Helleniscope, that Alexander the Great and Napoleon were typically “authoritarian” – not to say “ruthless” – yet we all consider them “Great”…

      • Alexander and Napoleon are called great because of historians’ consensus. And history takes a long time to be seen without prejudice. Not because of one person, such as Markezinis’ assessment. Wait a hundred years and then, we’ll talk how “great” Putin was. My bet is he will be seen as a criminal, along with Netanyahou and Hitler.

        • This one person, Sir Basil Markesinis, was more deep educated in classics and history than one hundred historians put together. How do you think he earned the title of “Sir” and the other most important title during his lifetime – “the #1 authority in international law globally”? His assessment is valued more than anyone else. Please let this thought sink in your contrarian head.

Let Us Understand Russia: A Short Outline of Russian History
This uncommon volume provides an incisive record of Russian rulers between the ninth and twentieth centuries. Comprised of thirty three chapters, Olga Svir’s work offers a concise outline of Russian rulers from the ninth century to the mid twentieth century when the iron curtain descended across Europe. With thirty two illustrations to the rear, collated and complete. Having published several literary essays and a catalogue of paintings of the Russian Museum of Fine Arts, Svir followed her husband and volunteered as a nurse in the White Army in the Russian civil war.

  5. The problem is unfortunately that our Church is becoming part of the Vatican’s Satanic Uniate initiative… We face the same battle as the Christians in the Ukraine faced and we as Greeks faced back in 1440… When the Pope tried to make us leave the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to join his Satanic Vatican Cult. The Satan will always try to divide and destroy the Church .. that’s what the Pope has been doing… Protestants smelling a yuuuge rat in the Vatican launched a misguided albeit well-intentioned attempt to correct course… And now we see Eloidoforos like a servile rayah trying to make our Church subservient to the Satanic guild… The Vatican influence on Eloidoforos is undeniable… The question for the faithful Christians is… Whether Eloidoforos is still a worthy clergyman.

    • He is definitely unworthy! He gave an award to a proven adulteress, that was living with a boyfriend while her husband was in prison! And furthermore, we don’t even know if she is an Orthodox Christian!

  6. hyped up Yulia is no Orthodox Christian & no loyal wife to her prisoner hubby.
    Russian women are ruthless –
just ask Mel Gibson publicly humiliated by a Russian babushka

    • Sandy, are these the same lawyers who have charged the U.S state department and C.I.A with collaborating with the Patriarch and Zelensky government to wage war on the Orthodox Church of the Ukraine because they were loyalist to Russia and America’s number one threat to the Globalist ruling parties of America ..Republican and Democratic uni parties monopoly of Europe, Middle East , and most of the world?

  7. As far as I know, Michael, Mr. Amsterdam is a lawyer who has been working tirelessly to protect the canonical UOC which is part of the body of Christ. He is Jewish and has taken over pro-bono work to defend the body of Christ against all the attackers, whomever they may be. He has my respect.
