Ο χάρτης που ανάρτησε η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή στον ιστότοπο της Υπηρεσίας Θαλάσσιου Χωροταξικού Σχεδιασμού (ΘΧΣ) για την Ελλάδα και το Αιγαίο προκάλεσε οργισμένες αντιδράσεις από Τούρκους εθνικιστές και ακραία τουρκικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, τροφοδοτώντας για άλλη μια φορά το βαθιά ριζωμένο αίσθημα «πολιορκίας» που επικρατεί στην τουρκική εθνικιστική αντίληψη.

Παρά τις διευκρινίσεις στον ιστότοπο της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής ότι ο συγκεκριμένος χάρτης βασίζεται σε διεθνείς πηγές, καθώς «η Ελλάδα δεν έχει ακόμη υιοθετήσει ΘΧΣ», τουρκικά ΜΜΕ μιλούν για «σκανδαλώδη χάρτη» και κατηγορούν την Ελλάδα ότι βρίσκεται πίσω από τη χάραξη του συγκεκριμένου χάρτη, που «παραχωρεί ολόκληρο το Αιγαίο στην Ελλάδα».

«Γραμμή» από Γιαϊτζί

Το σύνθημα των αντιδράσεων έδωσε ο Τούρκος απόστρατος αντι-ναύαρχος, Τζιχάτ Γιαϊτζί, γνωστός ανθέλληνας και επικριτής της «μειοδοτικής», όπως τη χαρακτηρίζει, εξωτερικής πολιτικής της κυβέρνησης Ερντογάν απέναντι στην Ελλάδα. Σε ανάρτησή του στην πλατφόρμα Χ, ο απόστρατος αντιναύαρχος και αρχιτέκτονας του τουρκολιβυκού μνημονίου κατηγορεί ευθέως την Ελλάδα για το χάρτη,  υποστηρίζοντας ότι «η Ελλάδα συνεχίζει την πολιτική του σφετερισμού της με πλήρη ταχύτητα και με την πολιτική υποστήριξη της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης!».

To φόβητρο του Casus Belli

Χρησιμοποιώντας το casus belli ως «φόβητρο» απέναντι σε οποιαδήποτε ελληνική πρωτοβουλία για επέκταση των χωρικών υδάτων, ο απόστρατος αντι-ναύαρχος Τζιχάτ Γιαϊτζί συνιστά στην Αθήνα να γυρίσει στα 3 μίλια της συνθήκης της Λωζάνης στο Αιγαίο, γιατί η Τουρκία δεν πρόκειται να κάνει πίσω.

«Η Τουρκία έχει διακηρύξει σε όλο τον κόσμο την αποφασιστική της στάση με το casus belli του 1995», λέει ο Γιαϊτζί.

«Παρόλο που η Ελλάδα, με την υποστήριξη της ΕΕ, προσπαθεί να σφετεριστεί τα δικαιώματα της Τουρκίας στη Θάλασσα των Νήσων, δεν πρέπει να ξεχνά ότι βρίσκεται αντιμέτωπη με την αποφασιστική απόφαση casus belli της Τουρκίας».

«Η τουρκική κυβέρνηση να σταματήσει τις επαφές με την Ελλάδα»

Ο Γιαϊτζί καλεί μάλιστα την τουρκική κυβέρνηση να διακόψει τις διπλωματικές επαφές με την Ελλάδα, εάν «δεν αποσύρει τις αξιώσεις της», να αφήσει τα διπλωματικά τραπέζια και να επιδείξει ξεκάθαρα την αποφασιστική της στάση επί του πεδίου…

«Όσο η Ελλάδα δεν παραιτείται από αυτές τις αξιώσεις, που αγνοούν τα κυριαρχικά δικαιώματα της Τουρκίας, το τουρκικό υπουργείο Εξωτερικών, δεν θα πρέπει να λογίζει την Ελλάδα ως συνομιλητή και θα πρέπει να σταλεί ένα σαφές μήνυμα στην Ελλάδα. Είναι καιρός για μια ανυποχώρητη στάση απέναντι σε τέτοιες επιθέσεις στα δικαιώματα της Τουρκίας στις θάλασσες. Αντί να χάνεται χρόνος με κενά αιτήματα στα διπλωματικά τραπέζια, θα πρέπει να επιδειχθεί ξεκάθαρα η αποφασιστικότητα για την προστασία των δικαιωμάτων και των συμφερόντων της Τουρκίας».

Και η Κύπρος στο στόχαστρο

Το δεύτερο πεδίο της κριτικής όσον αφορά τον Θαλάσσιο Χωροταξικό Σχεδιασμό των χωρών της ΕΕ, αφορά τον σχετικό χάρτη της Κύπρου, ο οποίος έχει εγκριθεί από το Συμβούλιο Υπουργών από το 2023.

«Επιπλέον, στην ιστοσελίδα της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής υπάρχει ένας άλλος χάρτης που δείχνει τις λεγόμενες θαλάσσιες περιοχές της Ελληνοκυπριακής Διοίκησης της Νότιας Κύπρου. Στο έγγραφο, το οποίο αναφέρει ότι οι μελέτες για την Κύπρο έχουν ολοκληρωθεί, αναφέρεται ότι “τα εσωτερικά ύδατα και τα χωρικά ύδατα της Κύπρου μέχρι τα 12 ναυτικά μίλια καλύπτουν μια έκταση περίπου 13 χιλιάδων 968 km².
