Greece, under Simitis, developed all the features of the failed state as it is today. He forced the country’s entry into the Eurozone without proper preparation, creating many problems. And he succumbed to pressure from the usual actors of the American Deep State acknowledging that Turkey has rights in the Aegean – this alone would give him the label of a traitor easily. Aphrodite Latinopoulou deconstructs the “Hagiographies” for Kostas Simitis
Former Prime Minister Konstantinos Simitis died not at the age of 88 . His 8-year rule was marked mainly by negative events such as :
– The hot Greek-Turkish episode in Imia in January 1996 which resulted in the death of the three Greek Heroes of our Navy and the “graying” of the Aegean by the Turks. It was the time when Simitis himself, after the de-escalation in Imia, uttered the tragic phrase “we thank the Americans”, shattering the national sentiment, but also “we claim nothing”, officially inaugurating the graying of the Aegean and the tolerance in the external our policy. A policy that, unfortunately, seems to be faithfully followed by the current government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
– We do not forget the surrender to the Turks, the only true ally of Greece at the time, Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
– The non-placement of the S-300 missiles that were intended to shield Cyprus.
– The Stock Exchange scandal that led to the financial ruin of hundreds of thousands of Greeks who were encouraged by the more “responsible” government lips to gamble in order to win since we supposedly had a stable and strong economy. Unforgettable expressions of the type: “the rise of the index of the A.A.A. it is an indicator of the health of the economy”. Unfortunately, of course, no one was punished for this.
– The mandatory non-indication of religion on police ID cards and the relentless belligerence of the Simitis government against the Blessed Archbishop Christodoulos.
– The hasty entry of the country (but with falsified data) into the Eurozone , at a time when Greece was economically unprepared, just to credit the Simitis government for entering the euro.
– Unfortunately, the preparations for the 2004 Olympic Games that his governments prepared proved to be financially disastrous for Greece due to their economic mismanagement and the atmosphere of generalized corruption they exuded, especially during his second four-year term as prime minister.
Finally, he was the one who was characterized as the most complicated prime minister who, through the “big projects”, paved the way for the creation of the big contractors that plague the country to this day.
Therefore, the declaration of four days of national mourning is incomprehensible for us, but probably not for the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the purely Semitic Maximos who in practice prove once again how ardent supporters they are of the general “legacy” of K. Simitis.
In closing as a VOICE OF REASON, although politically we strongly disagree with the governance of Kostas Simitis, on a human level we are sorry for the loss of the deceased and express our sincere condolences to his relatives.

Η Αφροδίτη Λατινοπούλου, αποδομεί τις «αγιογραφίες» για τον Κώστα Σημίτη
Απεβίωσε σήμερα σε ηλικία 88 ετών ο πρώην Πρωθυπουργός Κωνσταντίνος Σημίτης. Η 8ετής διακυβέρνησή του, σημαδεύτηκε κυρίως από αρνητικά γεγονότα όπως:
– Το θερμό ελληνοτουρκικό επεισόδιο στα Ίμια τον Ιανουάριο του 1996 που κατέληξε στον χαμό των τριών Ελλήνων Ηρώων του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού μας και στο “γκριζάρισμα” του Αιγαίου από τους Τούρκους. Ήταν η εποχή που ο ίδιος ο Σημίτης, μετά την αποκλιμάκωση στα Ίμια, εκστόμισε την τραγική φράση “ευχαριστούμε τους Αμερικανούς”, τσακίζοντας το εθνικό φρόνημα, αλλά και το “δεν διεκδικούμε τίποτα”, εγκαινιάζοντας επίσημα το γκριζάρισμα του Αιγαίου και την ενδοτικότητα στην εξωτερική μας πολιτική. Πολιτική που δυστυχώς φαίνεται να ακολουθείται πιστά από τη σημερινή κυβέρνηση του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη.
–Δεν ξεχνάμε την παράδοση στους Τούρκους, του μοναδικού αληθινού συμμάχου τότε της Ελλάδας, Κούρδου ηγέτη Αμπντουλάχ Οτσαλάν.
–Τη μη τοποθέτηση των πυραύλων S-300 που προορίζονταν για την θωράκιση της Κύπρου.
–Το σκάνδαλο του Χρηματιστηρίου που οδήγησε στην οικονομική καταστροφή εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες Ελλήνων που παροτρύνονταν από τα πιο ”υπεύθυνα” κυβερνητικά χείλη να τζογάρουν για να κερδίσουν αφού υποτίθεται είχαμε σταθερή και ισχυρή οικονομία. Αλησμόνητες οι εκφράσεις τύπου: ” η άνοδος του δείκτη του Χ.Α.Α. είναι δείκτης υγείας της οικονομίας”. Δυστυχώς βέβαια ουδείς τιμωρήθηκε γι αυτό.
-Την υποχρεωτική μη αναγραφή του θρησκεύματος στις αστυνομικές ταυτότητες και την ανελέητη πολεμική διάθεση της κυβέρνησης Σημίτη κατά του Μακαριστού Αρχιεπισκόπου Χριστόδουλου.
– Την βεβιασμένη είσοδο της χώρας (με χαλκευμένα όμως στοιχεία) στην Ευρωζώνη, σε μία εποχή που η Ελλάδα ήταν οικονομικά ανέτοιμη, μόνο και μόνο για να πιστωθεί την είσοδο στο ευρώ, η κυβέρνηση Σημίτη.
– Δυστυχώς και η προετοιμασία των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων του 2004 που οι κυβερνήσεις του ετοίμασαν, αποδείχτηκαν οικονομικά καταστροφικές για την Ελλάδα εξαιτίας της οικονομικής κακοδιαχείρισή τους αλλά και την ατμόσφαιρα γενικευμένης διαφθοράς που απέπνεαν, ειδικά κατά τη δεύτερη τετραετία του ως πρωθυπουργού.
Tέλος ήταν αυτός που είχε χαρακτηριστεί ως ο πλέον διαπλεκόμενος πρωθυπουργός που μέσα από τα ”μεγάλα έργα” άνοιξε τον δρόμο να δημιουργηθούν οι μεγαλοεργολάβοι που λυμαίνονται τη χώρα μέχρι και σήμερα.
Ακατανόητη λοιπόν για εμάς η κήρυξη τετραήμερου εθνικού πένθους αλλά μάλλον όχι για την κυβέρνηση του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη και του αμιγώς σημιτικού Μαξίμου που στην πράξη αποδεικνύουν για ακόμη μία φορά πόσο ένθερμοι υποστηρικτές είναι της γενικότερης ”κληρονομιάς” του Κ. Σημίτη.
Κλείνοντας ως ΦΩΝΗ ΛΟΓΙΚΗΣ, αν και πολιτικά διαφωνούμε κάθετα με την διακυβέρνηση του Κώστα Σημίτη, σε ανθρώπινο επίπεδο λυπούμαστε για την απώλεια του εκλιπόντος και εκφράζουμε τα ειλικρινή συλλυπητήριά μας στους οικείους του.
