We have reported on the trend of young men being attracted to Orthodoxy, but in the last couple of years, it became apparent that young men are attracted back to Christianity and particularly to Orthodoxy in numbers never seen before… Especially those who belong to GenZ (born after 1995)… But if you follow this link here, you will realize that in the last two years, particularly in 2024, it was reflected in many polls that young men are more religious than young women! The rejection of “wokism” across the board, the search for “masculinity” (which seems to mean mainly rejection of the feminist ideology) and above all, the evident need for tradition and originality drove DenZers to Orthodoxy in bid numbers… Dr. Steve Turley discusses all these trends in this informative 12′ video. I would only add that in the November 5 elections, the most interesting, never-before-seen phenomenon was the massive support of those Genzers to President Trump… Folks, these are real revolutionary changes in American society. We will keep monitoring them.

More Young Men Are Now Religious Than Women in the U.S.

Younger generations of women are less religious than their male counterparts in the United States, according to data from a Statista Consumer Insights survey. This marks a shift, as historically, U.S. women have been the more religious group. As this chart shows, for both genders, religion is becoming less widespread overall.
Christianity is the dominant religion in the U.S. Statista data shows that 51 percent of Gen Z males self-identify as Christian, with the next biggest religious groups Islam (six percent) and Buddhism (two percent). Only six percent of Gen Z men are atheists and 17 percent non-religious. For Gen Z women, 48 percent said their religion is Christianity, while only two percent said Islam and two percent Buddhism. Six percent of Gen Z women are atheists and 22 percent identify as non-religious.

The “record number conversions” of young men to Orthodoxy sounds wonderful, but do these young men realize how difficult and dangerous the Orthodox way of life is? Or are they just infatuated by the “middle-earth” sense of it all when they walk into a beautiful Orthodox Church? Orthodoxy, as St. Vladimir found out, is “heaven on earth”, but when you are “not of this world” it can get pretty tough. Are these young men prepared? I guess we shall see. May they be properly catechized, blessed and enlightened.
