This is Jim Jatras. I am writing to you on an urgent matter, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Jonah, Abbot of St. Dimitrios Monastery in Virginia [www.virginiamonks.org]
It is anticipated that as early as Inauguration Day, Monday, January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump may issue pardons for large numbers of January 6 defendants (J6ers) currently held in federal custody — including many suffering in abominable conditions isolated from family and friends.
Some of these hundreds of unjustly imprisoned American patriots may be released as soon as that very same day. They risk simply being thrown out onto the street with no support network for food, warm clothing, housing, transportation, or even notification of their families.
A group J6 supporters is scrambling to put in place resources such as housing and transportation. A particularly urgent need is to identify local patriots within the vicinity of the 77 detention facilities spread out around the country — many in remote locations, like an American Gulag — to be on hand to greet the released J6ers to provide immediate assistance and to help connect them with family and other resources.
Vladika Jonah appeals to Orthodox Christians to join into this effort to the best of our ability.
Attached is a sheet identifying the facilities at which J6ers are held and where releases may take place. All interested Orthodox Christians are asked to review these lists and identify detention facilities close enough for them to go to in person to offer immediate aid, such as food, a warm coat, and temporary shelter, plus communication with their families and additional aid we are working to line up.
If you identify a detention facility close to you and are willing to go, please write back to me at heraclius13@gmail.com and I will send you the names and prison numbers of those who are being held there.
