One more episode from this very “eventful” Greek Independence celebration at the White House last Monday… I am not sure who was in charge of the “Greek music repertoire” but out of thousands and thousands of songs (Some among the top 100 music scores of all time like “Zorba” and “Never On Sunday”), they picked “Tsifteteli Tourkiko”!! Unbelievable!! We want to beleieve that this was not a joke… But… Be more careful next time…

απαγοητευμένοι γιατί ανακάλυψαν πως όλοι τους ήταν κουτσές Μαρίες.
I don’t think that the choice of this song was an accident or a coincidence… I am afraid it signals the condinuation of the US policy against Greece, which unfortunately hasn’t changed at all… The Turkish straits are far more important to the US than Greece. We will be lucky if we don’t loose some islands during the Trump administration…
How am I sure about that? Because president Trump avoided to mention the words Turkey or Ottoman Empire in his speech… Whom did Greece get liberated from?
