The Turks live in lands they have seized from peoples and tribes who lived there for millennia. The Greeks and Armenians in particular suffered terribly from the scourge of Asia. Our current NATO “allies” instead of being ashamed and apologizing for their crimes, are celebrating.
Instead of trying to make amends, they celebrate the massacres, persecutions and genocides they have committed. On Monday, May 19, Hellenism throughout the world will honor the memory of our Pontic brothers, who fell victim to Kemal’s massacrers.

The “bravery” of these criminals was practiced on the defenseless bodies of infants, the elderly, the disabled, women and unarmed people, who had no other choice than that of martyrdom.
In the introductory report of the proposed law “On the establishment of the Genocide of the Pontic Greeks as a day of remembrance”, which was submitted to Parliament in February 1994, we read the following:
” The Ottoman regime, the Young Turk movement and later the Kemalist movement responded to the demand of history for the democratization of political institutions, for deep social and political reforms, by the extermination and uprooting of indigenous foreign groups such as the Pontic Greeks. The Young Turk and Kemalist plan to create a homogeneous national Turkish nation-state presupposed ethnic cleansing with the systematic genocide of indigenous peoples.
A large number, three hundred and fifty-three thousand (353,000) Pontians out of a total of seven hundred and fifty thousand (750,000) disappeared through the method of persecutions and displacements in the period between 1916-1923. During these years, there were major massacres, burning and destruction of cities and villages, thousands of deaths, disappearances and missing persons in the armies of those displaced from the Black Sea coast to the interior of the East, Kurdistan, Syria.
The premeditated and pre-planned events resulted in an effective policy of genocide. It was the second genocide of our century, after the Armenian genocide .
The proposal was accepted, took the form of law 2193, and the Parliament in 1994 recognized the Genocide of the Pontian Greeks. It is the obligation of all of us to force the state-gang to pay morally, politically, geopolitically, and economically for what it has committed.
It is the Mitsotakis government’s obligation to stop propagandizing Turkish positions with the inventions of “calm waters”, with the Gerapetritis temenades, and with the Prime Minister turning a blind eye to Turkey’s entry into the European defense system .
The Genocide of the Pontian Greeks is an open wound . The pain will only ease if we do what is right towards the History of our nation and punish the genocidaires.

Ανοιχτή πληγή η Γενοκτονία των Ελλήνων του Πόντου
Οι Τούρκοι ζουν σε εδάφη που έχουν αρπάξει από λαούς και φυλές, που κατοικούσαν επί χιλιετίες εκεί. Ειδικά οι Ελληνες και οι Αρμένιοι υπέφεραν τα πάνδεινα από τη μάστιγα της Ασίας. Οι νυν νατοϊκοί «σύμμαχοί» μας αντί να ντρέπονται και να απολογούνται για τα εγκλήματά τους, πανηγυρίζουν.
- Η θέση μας – κυριακάτικη δημοκρατία
Αντί να προσπαθούν να επανορθώσουν, γιορτάζουν τις σφαγές, τις διώξεις και τις γενοκτονίες που έχουν διαπράξει. Τη Δευτέρα, 19 Μαΐου, ο Ελληνισμός απανταχού της γης θα τιμήσει τη μνήμη των Ποντίων αδελφών μας, που έπεσαν θύματα των σφαγέων του Κεμάλ.
Τα κτήνη που η γειτονική χώρα δοξάζει σαν «γενναίους πολεμιστές» έσφαξαν ή θανάτωσαν με εξαντλητικές πορείες και βασανιστήρια 353.000 Ελληνες του Πόντου. Η «γενναιότητα» αυτών των εγκληματιών εξασκήθηκε πάνω σε ανυπεράσπιστα κορμιά βρεφών, γερόντων, αναπήρων, γυναικών και άοπλων ανθρώπων, που δεν είχαν άλλη επιλογή από εκείνη του μαρτυρικού θανάτου.
Στην εισηγητική έκθεση της πρότασης νόμου «Για την καθιέρωση της Γενοκτονίας των Ελλήνων του Πόντου ως ημέρας μνήμης», που υπεβλήθη στη Βουλή τον Φεβρουάριο του 1994, διαβάζουμε τα ακόλουθα:
«Το Οθωμανικό καθεστώς, το κίνημα των Νεότουρκων και μετέπειτα το Κεμαλικό κίνημα απάντησαν στο αίτημα της ιστορίας για εκδημοκρατισμό των πολιτικών θεσμών, για βαθιές κοινωνικές και πολιτικές μεταρρυθμίσεις, με την εξολόθρευση και τον ξεριζωμό αυτοχθόνων αλλοεθνών ομάδων όπως οι Ελληνες Πόντιοι. Το Νεοτουρκικό και Κεμαλικό σχέδιο δημιουργίας ενός ομοιογενούς εθνικά τουρκικού κράτους-έθνους προϋπέθετε την εθνική εκκαθάριση με τη συστηματική γενοκτονία των αυτοχθόνων λαών.
Ενας μεγάλος αριθμός, τριακόσιες πενήντα τρεις χιλιάδες (353.000) Πόντιοι σε ένα σύνολο επτακοσίων πενήντα χιλιάδων (750.000) εξαφανίσθηκαν με τη μέθοδο των διώξεων και των εκτοπίσεων στο χρονικό διάστημα μεταξύ του 1916-1923. Μέσα στα χρόνια αυτά έγιναν μεγάλες σφαγές, πυρπόληση και καταστροφή πόλεων και χωριών, χιλιάδες οι θάνατοι, εξαφανίσεις και αγνοούμενοι στις στρατιές των εκτοπισμένων από τα παράλια του Εύξεινου Πόντου στο εσωτερικό της Ανατολής, το Κουρδιστάν, τη Συρία.
Τα προμελετημένα και προσχεδιασμένα γεγονότα κατέληξαν σε μια αποτελεσματική πολιτική γενοκτονίας. Επρόκειτο για τη δεύτερη γενοκτονία του αιώνα μας, μετά τη γενοκτονία των Αρμενίων».
Η πρόταση έγινε δεκτή, πήρε τη μορφή του νόμου 2193 και η Βουλή το 1994 αναγνώρισε τη Γενοκτονία των Ελλήνων του Πόντου. Υποχρέωση όλων μας, να αναγκάσουμε το κράτος-συμμορία να πληρώσει ηθικά, πολιτικά, γεωπολιτικά και οικονομικά για όσα έχει διαπράξει.
Υποχρέωση της κυβέρνησης Μητσοτάκη, να πάψει να προπαγανδίζει τις τουρκικές θέσεις με τις επινοήσεις των «ήρεμων νερών», με τους τεμενάδες Γεραπετρίτη και με το να κάνει ο πρωθυπουργός τα στραβά μάτια στην είσοδο της Τουρκίας στο σύστημα της ευρωπαϊκής άμυνας.
Η Γενοκτονία των Ελλήνων του Πόντου είναι μια ανοιχτή πληγή. Ο πόνος θα απαλύνει μόνο αν κάνουμε το πρέπον απέναντι στην Ιστορία του έθνους μας και τιμωρήσουμε τους γενοκτόνους.
