Many argue that by serving in a foreign military, Mindel should have forfeited her American citizenship altogether, as per longstanding concerns about dual loyalty and foreign entanglements. To now place her in a position to dictate the boundaries of permissible speech for millions—including on issues directly related to her former employer—reveals a stunning disregard for democratic norms, free expression, and platform integrity.
