When political fortunes and public trust start circling the drain, there’s only one thing to do: schedule a meeting, issue a statement, and look solemn for the cameras. Kasselakis and Elpidophoros have clearly mastered the art. Call it a summit of symbolism—two men, one backdrop, and a shared belief in the redemptive power of press coverage. They pretended, in front of cameras, that everything was OK as their constituencies rejected them massively.
After two years of political machinations in Greece, Kasselakis managed to destroy the country’s second-largest party, SYRIZA. He also managed to make a mockery of marriage by presenting his “wife/husband”, Tyler, to the Greek society and collecting an insurmountable amount of jokes… Yes, Kasselakis became the butt of jokes for Greek gatherings and beyond.
Greeks have respect for homosexuality as Cavafy, the biggest modern Greek poet, Hadjidakis, the most prominent composer, and Tsarouhis, the biggest painter, were all known homosexuals. They enjoyed wide respect when they were alive (in much more “traditional” times), wide respect from all fellow Greeks. For example, the president of Greece, Constantine Karamanlis, displayed in public his great friendship with Hadjidakis…
But Cavafy, Hadjidakis, and Tsarouhis respected themselves above all… They did not turn their personal life into a public circus! And they would NEVER attempt to impose their preferences on the whole society!!.
Kasselakis was able, in the first year of his “return” to Greece, to achieve the main goal he was sent to accomplish. The legalization of gay marriage. He was able to add enough votes to the miserable Mitsotakis leadership and create one of the darkest moments in modern Greek and Orthodox history.
And now Elpidophoros happily welcomes him. The two have similar Woke and Globalist agendas… They are agents of the same dark forces that are trying to control humanity.
But they will fail. As Nikos Kazantzakis emphatically said, “Evil always tries to win, but in the end the forces of good always prevail…”
