EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis). U.S. military personnel have complained that their commanders are presenting the conflict with Iran in religious or apocalyptic terms. According to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), the group received more than 100 complaints from troops across dozens of units alleging that briefings framed the war as part of a biblical prophecy leading to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Some complaints say commanders suggested that President Donald Trump had been “anointed” to initiate a conflict with Iran that would trigger events described in the Book of Revelation and Armageddon.

The White House denied these claims, saying the military campaign’s goals are strategic—such as targeting Iran’s missile capabilities and military infrastructure—rather than religious. Criticism from some officials and commentators about the motivations behind the war was circulated, including claims that U.S. actions were partly influenced by Israel’s security concerns. It seems that certain religious or ideological beliefs among political and defense figures may be shaping how the conflict is framed, though the administration rejects the accusation that apocalyptic or religious narratives are driving policy.

  1. Any hopes I had that Trump might come to his senses have been destroyed. It is apparent the neoconservatives and “Christian” Zionists are fully in control. Trump has betrayed those of us who supported him and he is serving those who worked against him in three elections.

    • I’m not sure if you’ve been following the actions of the communal patriarch, but he is not interested in anything outside of his attempts to unite us with the Roman Catholic Church by any means whatsoever and join the secular west.

  4. For many decades, Evangelicals have been obsessed with “the Rapture”, and with the egotistical idea that they can “force the hand of God” to accelerate the 2nd Coming and Judgement Day, which Christ himself said that nobody knows “when” it will occur but God himself…

    This egotistical idea is a derivative of one of the the biggest Protestant egotistical dogmas of them all…”salvation by faith alone”, where these folks actually believe that “they are already saved” even while walking upon the earth…naturally, this means that “there is no point in waiting”, and they feel ready & worthy to be “met in the clouds by Christ” (the Rapture)…

    This has also been the driving factor behind blind and total support of the Evangelical movement for Israel over the years, with the idea that a powerful Israel will result in an acceleration of the building of the 3d Temple will also accelerate the coming of the Antichrist (as if they won’t be in danger of losing their souls to him…naive arrogance at its peak)…

    Outrageous heretical viewpoints, but it wouldn’t be surprising that folks that have been poisoned with this dogma are also in ranking positions within the armed forces…

    • I agree with you Markos. I also wish to point out what an absurd heresy Christian Zionism is. Anyone who knows anything about the Old Testament knows that God made an oral covenant with Abraham and then a written covenant (on stone tablets) with the Israelites through Moses. A COVENANT is a TWO-WAY agreement or pact. God’s promises to the Israelites to protect and multiply them and to give them the land of milk and honey were NOT unconditional but conditional on their continued faith and worship of Him and Him alone.

      How many times after Mount Sinai didn’t the Israelites abandon God, seduced by the immorality and paganism of the neighbouring nations, often because of mingling with them and marrying pagan women? They even set up pagan idols in the very Temple of Solomon for pagan worship. An equal number of times did God’s grace leave them until they were finally captured by the Babylonians who destroyed Solomon’s Temple and carried off all its contents to Babylon. Every instance of apostasy from God ended up in catastrophe for the Israelites. Then they would suffer and repent and God would forgive and reinstate them until it happened again and again.

      So clearly, just from the Old Testament alone, we know that the “chosen people of God” and the land He gave them, were not carte Blanche, but conditional. Even the Jews should know this.

      And as for all Christian denominations, they should know that the written covenant was followed by the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ, who fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament. What does it mean when John the Baptist warned the smug Pharisees that God could raise up descendants to Abraham from the stones? It means He wants a spiritual Israel, not a physical DNA-based Israel. This is why Revelations calls the Kingdom of Heaven, the NEW Jerusalem.

      What does it mean when Christ prophesied that “not one stone” in Jerusalem “would be left standing on another ” and that the people should flee the city when the abomination of desolation stood in the temple?

      It means that because the Jews rejected and killed their Messiah by manipulating the Romans, God’s grace left them once again, and the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and Herod’s temple for the last time in present history in 70 AD. In addition, the Muslims have built the Done of the Rock in the very same site, a thorn in the side of the Jews, who as we speak, are excavating underneath the building to weaken its foundations and destroy it. They are doing this under the pretext of conducting archaeological excavations in search of the lost Ark of the Covenant, which we all know was hidden in a mountain.

      It is ironic that whether they liked it or not, the Blood Covenant which the unbelieving Jews rejected, replaced their animal sacrifices, which could only be done in the temple. 2000 years later has been an awfully long dry spell for them to have no Messiah and no further prophecy of any Messiah. And they know this, which is why instead of repenting, the “stiff necked” and the unbelieving Zionists have taken matters into their own hands now, to create their own political Messiah, who will be the Antichrist. I wouldn’t be surprised if they bombed tne Dome themselves, blaming a stray missile so they can start rebuilding the Temple, a necessary prerequisite for the “Messiah” or Antichrist to appear.

      The other part of the Zionist Christian heresy, is that Christ is not going to appear during or after this war, but at the completion of the 7th year of the Antichrist’s reign. The first 3.5 years he will deceive the nations by being the “best ” ruler possible, enabling peace, security and abundance. That is when everyone will trust him and want to get his mark. Enoch and Elijah who did not experience a physical death will return and preach against the Antichrist who will kill them.But the last 3.5 years will be hell on earth, as he will torment those who got his mark, and will viciously persecute the Church. Then, at the end of the 7th year, will Christ appear.

      This war has been pre-meditated for a long time and it means that they have an Antichrist candidate waiting in the wings. How pitiful are those Jewish and Christian Zionists who think they can manipulate God and His prophecies. May the Lord have mercy on them and their wilful spiritual blindness.

      What is happening right now is not God’s primary will but Man’s will. God enters human history to derail our self destruction and He will enter again at His glorious Second Coming to stop the Antichrist, and the murderous Devil within him, after the number of saints and new martyrs has been completed. Then, and only then, will human history end.

    Trump and his administration have to be stopped. I admit I was tricked by his rhetoric, but no more. I am going to vote Democrat for the first time in my life, not because I support them, but in the hopes of Trump getting impeached. And hopefully Vance and Rubio go down with the ship. That will open the path for someone who is actually “America First” to run in 2028.

Itmar Ben Gvmir and finance minister Smotrich whose hero the late Meir Kahane wanted to expel all Arabs from Israel and the occupied territories.
