What happened last Monday – and largely keeps happening – was beyond description: On Monday morning, just minutes before Donald Trump publicly announced a sudden shift—postponing his Iran ultimatum and signaling talks—financial markets moved in ways that are now raising serious questions about insider trading.

For years, we have been seeing political corruption through one lens: Joe Biden and his family. The narrative around Hunter Biden is familiar—access, influence, foreign business ties – particularly in Ukraine. It’s powerful because it suggests wrongdoing without always proving it.
But corruption isn’t about suggestion. It’s about what actually happens.
Under Donald Trump, the boundary between public office and private profit didn’t blur—it collapsed.
Here’s what that looked like:
- Kept full ownership of his business empire while president, allowing foreign governments, lobbyists, and political groups to spend directly at his properties
- Government and campaign spending flowed into Trump-owned venues, effectively routing public and political money into his businesses
- Installed family members like Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in senior roles while their financial interests overlapped with foreign actors
- Post-office financial windfall, including Kushner securing a $2 billion Saudi-backed investment tied to relationships built in government
- Use of presidential powers to benefit allies, including pardons for figures like Steve Bannon
Now compare that to the Biden-focused claims. Those revolve around indirect benefit and proximity to power—serious, but debated and often unresolved. And mostly not prosecuted.
Trump’s model was different: direct financial entanglement with the presidency itself.
And while Washington struggles with insider trading—lawmakers using privileged information for profit—that still operates within the system. A recent bipartisan push to ban congressional stock trading has resurfaced amid continued scrutiny of unusually well-timed trades by members of Congress and their families, highlighting how access to nonpublic information can translate into personal financial gain.
But what happened last Monday – and largely keeps happening – was beyond description: On Monday morning, just minutes before Donald Trump publicly announced a sudden shift—postponing his Iran ultimatum and signaling talks—financial markets moved in ways that are now raising serious questions. Trading in oil futures spiked dramatically in the minute before his announcement, with roughly $580 million in contracts changing hands—far above normal levels for that time of day. The announcement sent oil prices down and stocks soaring, suggesting that anyone with advance knowledge would profit significantly. Experts say the timing is “enough to raise eyebrows” about potential insider trading tied to nonpublic, market-moving information. You can read the full report here: Oil trades surged just before Trump’s Iran announcement, raising insider trading concerns.
Trump showed something else entirely:
The system itself can serve as a business model.
If we’re serious about corruption, the distinction matters. This isn’t about partisan narratives—it’s about scale, structure, and what was done in plain sight.
We were told to look for corruption in the shadows.
But some of the clearest examples were right in front of us.

Come on people. Those of you that are surprised at the curroption of Trump are naive. This is his second term. He was no better then and he is worse now. Trump promised to “drain the swamp”. Actually, he “swamped the drain”. Couldn’t you see it then? Biden made a mistake with supporting his son, Hunter, who is admittedly a loathsome human being. But Biden was a politician for fifty years. There haven’t been any accusations against him.
Trump is not at fault. Americans who voted for him are. If it wasn’t Trump, if he never ran, there would have been someone else, just like him. Because that’s what Americans wanted. He won by by a small margin, but he should have lost “bigly”. He did not.
I know most of you on this blog voted for the orange buffoon. You know the saying :”Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me”.
Oh. I forgot to add, that Biden wasn’t in the running in 2024. So, there is no reason to have voted for Trump, if Biden was also compromised. It was Harris, who has no record of corruption, running against a habitual liar, sexual deviant, racist, corrupt individual. Americans chose the latter.
Are you out of your mind, Bob? Who would have voted for Kamala? Please land on reality… It is OK to be fooled – by someone who did not get a penny of salary during his first term – but not by someone like Kamala who smells corruption, hypocricy, immorality and everything else from miles away…
While Trump “saved” us $1,2000,000 dollars (at $400,00 annual salary. by not taking his salary in the first three years in office, it cost us $64 million for his trips to Mar A Lago at the same time.
Bob, you have to learn, late in life although it is, to be fair: nobody abused Air Force one more than Obama…
Between the 2 evils (Kamala/Trump) we all thought Trump was better; But has a been a BIG disappointment he has dementia worse than Biden, snoozes more than Biden, and lies alot! and only helps Israel because he is Bibis puppet, and takes orders from all the Jews that rule the world! and does everything that he can to distract himself from the E-files, which hes done some bad, bad stuff… He makes Kimberly ambassador of Greece, which she knows nothing about politics, but Im sure he owes her something? Gee I wonder what? makes Melanias modeling manger she had ambassador Paolo Zampolli as global ambassador. gee I wonder why and does a Modeling owner/manager know about global politics? appoints his son in las Kushner to broker deal between us the Middle East and Israel, gee again why? And he appoint his father Cahrles Kushner US ambassador to France, another crook that went to jail in Federal prison for hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother in law to retaliate against him for cooperating with federal authorities; and Trump pardons him in 2020! Really and none of you a pattern of who Trump is? and he sleeps with Stormi a porn star while his escort wife Melania was pregnant; and hes done some awful stuff with Epstein…And he only helps his own familys and who ever he owes favors to, and fooled all good Americans for voting him again to make America Great! This great America, raising every countrys tarriffs, now doing Israel dirty work, that no countrys sides with him and he is a good fit president? Hes a low life scum bag and doesnt get any lowering than a slimmy snake! But reality is KARMA is getting him and will get his family in seven generations down the line.
whos benefitting from all this? His family and his billionaires buddies! hes a BIG MA….! thats ruining innocent lives and middle class society!
Trump was the lesser of two evils, but we cannot rely on any administration to solve our problems. We turned a blind eye during past administrations, and now we are facing the consequences. Still, it is not too late. Good strength to all! Kali Anastasi!
