We learned that the change has largely to do with Game #4 of the NBA Finals, Knicks vs. Spurs, which is scheduled for the same evening and is bound to make traffic in Manhattan impossible.

We just received the announcement of an independent “Rally Committee” for a peaceful rally outside the Archdiocese Headquarters on Wednesday, June 10, 6 pm – please read it at the bottom of the post. Helleniscope adds below the general framework of the grievances of all of us faithful against the Phanariotes who govern our Church in America.

Orthodoxy has a long democratic tradition of shared governance rooted in the principle of conciliarity, the belief that the Church is guided through councils and collective deliberation rather than by a single supreme authority. From the Apostolic Council in Jerusalem to modern synods of bishops, major decisions have traditionally been made through consultation and consensus. Historically, bishops were often chosen with the participation and approval of clergy and faithful, reflecting the conviction that Church leadership should remain connected to the people it serves. There exists a deep-rooted Orthodox tradition of accountability and participation by the faithful. This decentralized structure, together with the principle that “what touches all should be approved by all,” has made consultation, transparency, and shared responsibility enduring features of Orthodox Church life.
Yet in our times, Pat. Bartholomew and his Phanariots threw this centuries-old Orthodox legacy by the wayside to promote “papal” policies of “absolute authority”. The faithful reject the “Papacy of the East” and demand a return to Orthodox traditions!!
Similarly, the faithful reject the election of Bishops by permanent Synods in Constantinople or elsewhere – especially when they are rumored to be “helped” by private “contributions” in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The vote of the faithful has to be taken into account – and in our days, only the Church of Cyprus follows the rule in a diminished way. The people’s vote for bishops has to be expanded, not diminished!!
Furthermore, GOARCH’s major financial issues must come to light. One of the many examples: Why have we never seen a list of all properties, movable or immovable, bequeathed to the Archdiocese? How many? When were they given? By who? Were they sold? What happened to the proceeds? The lack of transparency is absolutely disgusting and should already have been addressed by the NY Attorney General!
Finally, for many decades under ALL previous archbishops and particularly Iakovos, Spyridon, and Demetrios, we NEVER invited the descendants of the perpetrators of the Pontian and Hellenic Genocides, the Turkish diplomats, to participate in our events, as it regularly happens now, when we include – unnecessarily – the Turkish Embassy and the consulates in a series of events. Since 2018, Turkish diplomats have been paying official visits to our Metropolises and the Archbishop, and are the first to welcome the Patriarch in DC when he visits!
Recently, Pat. Bartholomew went to Prinkipo island to announce that the sale of the historic Greek orphanage to a Turkish “developer” and the building of a hotel by a Greek construction company “promotes Greek-Turkish friendship” (link to the video here – minute 4′ and after)? Why is Bartholomew pushing foreign policy while he can hardly preach Orthodoxy? And what “Greek-Turkish friendship” is he talking about when half of Cyprus is occupied by the Turks, the Turkish Parliament still has a “casus belli” against Greece in effect, and the whole “Ottoman” political leadership demands half the Aegean in their “Blue Homeland” hallucination?

I agree with you on Tsougarakis. His function is two-fold. Bark and snarl like a used car lot dog to anyone who dares to speak out and also be a poodle, yelping, sniffing people’s posteriors and then, having his head patted, his belly rubbed and thrown a bone by his masters. All he knows how to do is threaten lawsuits. That’s the only reason he was hired.
Nick I just noticed that there’s a confusing message in your wonderful announcement. You indicate in the title that the protest is June 10 and in the first paragraph announcing the event, you indicate JULY 10. Which one is it? Please clarify.

Since there is no procedure that you can appeal against Archbishop’s decisions, these rallies practically are the only way to protest against his unfair and illegitimate decisions…

But let’s not fool ourselves, these patriarchs, archbishops, metropolitans, priests that are members of AHEPA or other Masonic lodges, are not real clergy! They are just liturgy performers. And their liturgies and other mysteries they perform have no validity. By serving their lodges and giving oath to their Masonic God, aka the Antichrist, they place themselves out of the church of Jesus Christ. They are there only for the money and to fulfill their Masonic mission… That’s why they have a hard time condemning the crimes of Israel against Christians in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon!
When you visit a church for the first time, there are some certain signs about the status of the clergy:
1. If the priests promote the function of AHEPA or other Masonic lodges inside the church, that is a clear evidence that the clergy is compromised…
2. If the priests are talking about money all the time and ask for donations very often, that is a sign that they are rather liturgy performers and fundraisers, than actual priests…
3. If the priests are juggling with the incense, that is a sign that they are there just for the money and they are actually bored…
Avoid these churches, and of course avoid giving your money, because a significant part of your money ends up in AHEPA’s coffers!

What you say, that the church sacraments are valid even if Satan himself performs them, doesn’t make any sense. I remind you that during the enthronement of Apostolos, attendance was limited in many ways, specifically for that purpose – to exercise the right to call him ANAXIOS. Similar things happened for Bishop of Diokleias Nektarios. As I said, the basic democratic structures of the Church have failed.

I am not sure whether Bartholomew has a canonical investigation – we heard nothing about it. But the Police Report from the French Police is real and it is still waiting to be picked up. It verifies 200% the “Bulgarian Gay Escort” scandal.

Alright you guys. Your opinions are great, but I haven’t seen any comitmernts to attend the rally. Dont just be a keyboard warrior. Stop just complaining and show you really care. I’m coming from coastal N.J. I like to pride myself that I started the protest movement. I protested with signs last year in front of my church numerous times, to let parishioners and neighbors know the hypocrisy of clergy and board. I also protested again this past weekend, during the Greek festival, for lies against me. The powerful hate protests. That’s the only power we have. They ignore letters and emailed complaints.
SHOW UP AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. Follow Christ’s path. He held the Temple priests accountable and they crucified Him. If Christ was here today, He would hold these hypocrites accountable, because they are doing exactly as their predesessors, Anas and Caiafas were doing. Caring only for themselves and the power they held over people.
I don’t think rallies are either proper or appropriate… open letters or private correspondence is warranted or asking the Hierarchs, Priests etc to justify themselves based on the mandatory TRIFECTA of Holy Scriptures, Holy Tradition and Holy Canons… Our personal opinions are neither dogma, nor binding for the Church… I think we have waaaay bigger outstanding issues than Mr.Gilbert, Or Father Stamkopoulos or the misguided and shortsighted actions or policies of the ArchBishop or even the Patriarch, they have the right to guide and lead the Church albeit to schism or to the ravine… but I haven’t seen anyone make any substantial claim against our Hierarchs… By substantial I mean quoting the Trifecta… our Church is democratic and laity are equal in importance with clergy but all of us need to prove ourselves. What are the chances for the hierarchy under Bartholomew (“Primus Sine Paribus”) to allow any conciliar/democratic process in the Church? Zero in my opinion. Hence the meaning of the protest. When official structures disintegrate the people resort to rebellious acts.
The first protests against Hierarchs that were Masons were organized in Athens around 1860s by the theologian Apostolos Makrakis. These protests were happening outside the churches and they were named “Μακρακικά επεισόδια”. Just a few years ago you could find them in Wikipedia, but it looks like the long hand of Masonry erased them…
Makrakis was condemned by the official church, prosecuted by the government and jailed many times and finally died poor. He spent his money to create religious institutions and publish magazines and many theology books (2 of them about Freemasonry, that is very difficult to find…).
Makrakis’ story shows that a brave man is not enough to defeat the Masonic gang. The faithful people of God must unite and organize their defences against the “wolves wearing sheep skins”, like Makrakis used to call the Mason Hierarchs…

If y6ou call them with a comment, that they dont like, even if its the truth, they’ll stonewall you and if you insist, they’ll threaten you with “ecclesiastical and civil suits. They are selfish, and think they’re better than others.
For example, Tsougarakis, the resident parasite of the archdiocese, ignored a poor mom’s with three little children pleas for help, because St Basil was throwing her out, and neither him, or Elpidoforos responded to her. She was going to find herself on the streets for Christmas, until the court intervened and found St Basil’s in the wrong. That’s their modus operandi. Ignore you, unless you’re donating a few hundred thousand dollars. Then, Elpidoforos would baptize your kid. If you’re poor, they have no time for you.
As for scripture, TTsougarakis threatens people with lawsuits if you complain, which is against 1 korinthians 6:1. Did you read Helleniscope’s article on the show they’re running at Hellenic center, with mostly nude women? Those examples are enough, even though there are lots more. What do you want to? Peep shows in churches to rise up?

Local and national media should be notified to cover the rally along with the real backround information. You can imagine how the Archdiocese crew will respond.
Thank for alerting the faithful about the lack of transparency in our GOA. They need to answer the questions posed by the Rally Committee, for they appear fair to me. The GOA needs to inform its faithful because transparency builds confidence and better understanding of the matters financial and not that effect the future legacy of our Church. Maybe, 25 acres at HCHC could be sold because there is a 10 year plan for the proceeds. We all want HCHC to grow and provide our communities with future priests and Greek Language teacher, and personnel for our communities. I also think that all donations, including property donations should become transparent and managed appropriately, following the wishes of the donors.
Regarding The Hellenic Cultural enter on Crescent Street,please explain the inflammatory comments in your article. The center can become a performance hall for our students, our actors, and musicians. Instead of this bickering, let us find ways to cultivate our cultural heritage,for there is little being done to promote the jewel of cultural heritage, Ancient Drama.

As you probably learned, a couple of days after I posted my report of nudity and vulgarity at the Cultural Center the Archdiocese fired the “art director” Mr. Amohostianos instead of firing Fr. Gregory Stamkopoulos who is the executive director. But Stamkopoulos happens to be the Archbishop’s close friend and so he escaped punishment. Unfortunately this preferential and un-meritocratic treatment is a trait of Turkey or Greece. In America this will not lead us anywhere else but in disaster. That’s why you should attend the demonstration outside 79th street next Thursday – to protest for accountability.
