I want to bring something to your attention that I believe our community should support.
The Chant Stand — a Greek Orthodox nonprofit focused on preserving the art of Byzantine Chant — is bringing the Young Aspiring Chanters (YAC) Conference to Dallas, Texas, this October. This weekend is dedicated to educating the next generation of young Orthodox Christians in this liturgical art form.
For generations, Byzantine Chant has been the voice of the Church at prayer — and today, young men and women across the country are rediscovering it and stepping up to the analogion for the first time. The Chant Stand exists to make sure that continues.
From Oct. 23-25, young Orthodox Christians ages 18–35 will gather at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas to study under respected Protopsaltes and chant the Divine Liturgy together. The weekend closes with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday, October 25, celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver.
