Anastasios of Albania: The Unnatural Is Not Made Natural By Legal Decrees!

Σχετικά με τη  δια νόμου ανύψωση της συμβιώσεως των ομοφυλοφίλων εις γάμον η Ορθόδοξος Αυτοκέφαλος Εκκλησία της Αλβανίας δηλώνει:

Είναι πασίγνωστο ότι η διαιώνιση της ανθρωπότητας έχει στηριχθεί στην ύπαρξη δύο φύλων και στην ένωσή τους. Κανείς πολιτισμός, θρησκεία ή σύστημα νόμων (Σόλων, Πλάτων κ.λπ.) δεν θεσμοθέτησε τη συμβιωση των ομοφυλοφίλων ως γάμο. Το παρά φύσιν δεν καθίσταται κατά φύσιν με νομικές διατάξες. Αντίθετα, ένας τέτοιος νόμος προσβάλλει τη δημιουργία. Δεν αποτελεί κοινωνική πρόοδο αλλά σύγκρουση με τη φυσική τάξη, κατήφορο. Η Εκκλησία είναι υποχρεωμένη να διατυπώνει με σαφήνεια την έννοια και την αξία του γάμου, τη σημασία της οικογένειας και της τεκνογονίας σύμφωνα με τα ιερά κείμενά της και την κατά τους αιώνας παράδοσή της (Όπως δηλώθηκε  στην Αγία και Μεγάλη Σύνοδο της Ορθοδόξου Εκκλησίας στην Κρήτη το 2016).

Regarding the legal elevation of the cohabitation of homosexuals to marriage, the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania states:

It is well known that the perpetuation of mankind has been based on the existence of two sexes and their union. No culture, religion, or system of laws (Solon, Plato, etc.) has institutionalized homosexual cohabitation as marriage. The unnatural is not made natural by legal decrees. On the contrary, such a law offends creation. It is not social progress but a conflict with the natural order, downhill. The Church is obliged to clearly articulate the meaning and value of marriage, the importance of family, and procreation in accordance with its sacred texts and its centuries-old tradition (As stated in the Holy and Great Synod of the Orthodox Church in Crete in 2016).
