EDITOR’S NOTE: As you all are aware, Monomakhos has been off-line for about three weeks. Gail has been working overtime, non-stop, with a computer specialist who graciously volunteered his services and is helping us. behind the scenes. If all goes well, we will be up and running soon! We thank you for your patience. We also thank Nick Stamatakis for allowing us to post this story.

Things Are Spinning Out Of Control
Wouldn’t you know it? Monomakhos got hacked just as things were heating up in the world. Where to begin? We could mention the new “anti-Semitism” bill that just passed the House of Representatives, or Putin’s threat to use tactical nukes against the British and the French, or talk about the subtle signs that the mainstream media is starting to turn on Biden. I intend to talk about them soon but now I want to concentrate on the shenanigans that are going on in the Ecumenical Patriarchate and its various dependencies.
There’s a lot here. And none of it is good.
1. In the Patriarchate of Alexandria, a young woman was ordained to the diaconate with all the appropriate vestments.
2. On Good Friday, Archbishop Elpidophoros processed around the cathedral with Cardinal Dolan.
3. In Boston, Metropolitan Methodius told Cardinal O’Malley that “this was your cathedral as well.”
Make no mistake—all of this was done with Bartholomew’s permission. While it is true that Alexandria is autocephalous, everybody knows that this is an extremely poor Church, one whose hierarchy is Greek-dominated and financially dependent upon the Greek government. We saw how perfidiously Patriarch Theodore turned on the Ukrainians when his arm was twisted.
So, how does this all relate to Bartholomew’s globalist agenda? Here’s how: We know that Bartholomew is a liberal; he’s not only on board with the Fordhamite agenda, but now we also know he has no problem with women clergy. (Already, there are GOA parishes in Chicago and North Carolina that have female altar servers.)
Unfortunately, he knows that his room for maneuvering with the other local Churches is small and shrinking by the day. That’s why he got Theodore to ordain this woman.
This is how liberals think: “They won’t say anything about this because a) she’s an African and b) it happened in another patriarchate, not mine.” And when they get caught, they engage in “weaponized ambiguity” (to borrow a phrase from the Tradcats).
Not that things are going splendidly for Bartholomew, Francis, and their globalist buddies. Time is running out as far as their agenda is concerned. I’m seeing similar mistakes being made in the secular sphere as well. Trump is defying all political odds even though the Deep State has thrown everything but the kitchen sink against him, even going so far as to weaponize the judiciary. Javier Millei, the new President in Argentina, is starting to turn things around, and President Nayib Bukele is making El Salvador one of the safest nations in the Western Hemisphere.
In the meantime, the reality on the ground for Bartholomew is getting grimmer by the day. Just the other day, President Erdogan of Turkey turned yet another Byzantine religious site into a mosque. To add insult to injury, he prevented one of Bartholomew’s arch-deacons from re-entering the country. (So much for “New Rome.”).
There’s more to be sure. Gail and I are still fighting the good fight (1 Tim 1:18), and as soon as we get up and running, we’ll be back, better than ever! Until then, please keep us in your prayers.
pax!

I check your site daily. Glad to read your words today. Sending my prayers to you and Gail. See you soon! Many blessings.
1 Timothy 1:18. “Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well”. Please, enlighten me what the bible quote has to do with a site that competes with NewsMax for extremist clicks?
Hey Lambros I agree with you, their are plenty of sites that compete with NewsMAX for extremist Clicks, both in Greek media in America. Greece and Cyprus, and that is about it ! Just business opportunity!
Christ is Risen!
Good post George.
Thank you Nick Stamatakis for allowing George to post on this site.
We miss Gail and George.
It would be great to positively identify those who hired the hackers one day…I’m sure the list of suspects can’t be too long… :)
Everyone remembers what happened to the “concernedorthodoxchristians” site, too..
Going forward, speak with your IT folks about options…I won’t list any of them here, but there are many in the industry in order to recover very quickly in the future from most of these situations. Improving the IT infrastructure to a certain level of complexity will usually render hacking both ineffective and too expensive for the perpetrators to continue hiring “conventional” hackers…
On the other hand, if these are “non-conventional / professional” hackers that Hollywood loves to portray in their films from time to time, the 80:20 rule may not be as applicable, but it would mean that the content of the website is “really annoying” and “effective” in disrupting “somebody’s” grand plans.
George you meant to write Elpidoktonos was “Prancing” around
St Nicholas Shrine with the clown
Cardinal Dolan.
Right?
When are Third Rome and the other patriarchates going to stand up and say, “ENOUGH!”
