Does this tell you anything about their future plans after they introduced their novelties and their “modernity” in Greece? Yes, they have no plans to stay in Greece – they are likely heading for Miami…

“Fires” have been ignited by the online wedding list opened by the president of SYRIZA Stefanos Kasselakis and his husband Tyler Macbeth to raise money for the lavish wedding ceremony in Crete, while at the same time the workers in the media of the party of Koumoundourou!

Stefanos Kasselakis therefore disclosed an account that he has opened on the American platform honeyfund.com, which specializes in collecting monetary gifts from guests on the occasion of the ceremony, at the end of August, in Crete, although the couple has already been married since last October in Nea York.

The donation can reach up to $2,500 per person, with the aim of organizing trips for the… honeymoon, with the website noting that it enables couples “to live the experience with the support of their friends and family , no fees”, while it is worth noting that Honeyfund has collected a total of almost one billion dollars in monetary wedding gifts. The Kasselakis – Macbeth couple has already received a monetary gift from the vice-president of Meta (facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), John Allen Thomas, who had accompanied the president of SYRIZA to the Parliament, with the donor writing on the website: “We hope that the gift of helping you find a few moments where politics won’t be the main topic of conversation, unless of course you’re discussing the best beaches’!

The reaction
However, after the uproar that was caused, Stefanos Kasselakis responded with a post on social media, stating among other things “I hold Mr. Mitsotakis solely responsible for all the comments of hate and homophobia that we receive in our most personal moment”, while at another point of the post he explained that he chose the electronic marriage list so that “any amount we receive will be completely transparent – without envelopes – so that it can be made public and taxed”.

However, those who did not take kindly to the marriage list were the unpaid workers at “Avgi” and at the party radio station Sto Kokkino, with the reaction of the journalist Natalie Hadjiantoniou who worked for a number of years at the station, from which she was forced to leave, to she writes in her sharp post.

“Two pictures. My colleagues in “Avgi” and Kokkino were only paid in June, and since then not even the leave allowance. Autumn will arrive wildly for many of us anyway. And Mr. Kasselakis, given all this and in view of all this, opened a marriage list. The first are people who have turned their backs on difficulties for years. Even in the recent fires, they paid out of their own pocket for the report. And they’ve been wanting an answer for months. And they have loves too. And they have families too. And they have rights too! So sorry, but this is not left-wing behavior, nor the Left in general, and we don’t need Adonis to tell us that. It is elementary. And I am surprised that there isn’t a member of parliament to point this out to Mr. Kasselakis” she commented in a post on Facebook and adds personally addressing the president of SYRIZA: “Live and be happy and we wish you all the best, but also as long as you have unpaid and desperate workers that depend on your decisions keep your private choices, if anything, private. Otherwise, your political argument goes to waste. And by all means.”

«Φωτιές» έχει ανάψει η ηλεκτρονική λίστα γάμου που άνοιξαν ο πρόεδρος του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ Στέφανος Κασσελάκης και ο σύζυγός του Τάιλερ Μακμπέθ για τη συγκέντρωση χρηματικών ποσών εν όψει της χλιδάτης γαμήλιας τελετής στην Κρήτη, ενώ την ίδια ώρα παραμένουν απλήρωτοι και με αβέβαιο μέλλον οι εργαζόμενοι στα μέσα ενημέρωσης του κόμματος της Κουμουνδούρου!

Ο Στέφανος Κασσελάκης λοιπόν γνωστοποίησε λογαριασμό που έχει ανοίξει στην αμερικανική πλατφόρμα honeyfund.com, η οποία εξειδικεύεται στη συγκέντρωση χρηματικών δώρων καλεσμένων με την ευκαιρία της τελετής, στα τέλη Αυγούστου, στην Κρήτη, αν και το ζευγάρι έχει ήδη παντρευτεί από τον περασμένο Οκτώβριο στη Νέα Υόρκη.

Η δωρεά μπορεί να φτάσει μέχρι τα 2.500 δολάρια κατ’ άτομο, με στόχο τη διοργάνωση ταξιδιών για τον… μήνα του μέλιτος, με την ιστοσελίδα να σημειώνει πως δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε ζευγάρια «να ζήσουν την εμπειρία με τη στήριξη των φίλων και της οικογένειάς τους, χωρίς χρεώσεις», ενώ αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως το Honeyfund έχει συγκεντρώσει συνολικά σχεδόν ένα δισεκατομμύριο δολάρια σε χρηματικά δώρα γάμων. Ηδη το ζευγάρι Κασσελάκη – Μακμπέθ έχει λάβει χρηματικό δώρο από τον αντιπρόεδρο της Meta (facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), John Allen Thomas, ο οποίος είχε συνοδεύσει τον πρόεδρο του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ στη Βουλή, με τον… δωρητή να γράφει στην ιστοσελίδα: «Ελπίζουμε αυτό το δώρο να σας βοηθήσει να βρείτε λίγες στιγμές όπου η πολιτική δεν θα είναι το κύριο θέμα συζήτησης, εκτός βέβαια αν συζητάτε για τις καλύτερες παραλίες»!

Η αντίδραση

Πάντως, μετά τον σάλο που προκλήθηκε, ο Στέφανος Κασσελάκης απάντησε με ανάρτηση στα social media, αναφέροντας μεταξύ άλλων «Καθιστώ τον κ. Μητσοτάκη αποκλειστικά υπεύθυνο για το σύνολο των σχολίων μίσους και ομοφοβίας που λαμβάνουμε στην πιο προσωπική μας στιγμή», ενώ σε άλλο σημείο της ανάρτησης εξήγησε πως επέλεξε την ηλεκτρονική λίστα γάμου ώστε «όποιο ποσό λάβουμε να είναι με πλήρη διαφάνεια -χωρίς φακελάκια-, ώστε να δημοσιοποιηθεί και να φορολογηθεί».

Αυτοί πάντως που δεν είδαν με καλό μάτι τη λίστα γάμου ήταν οι απλήρωτοι εργαζόμενοι στην «Αυγή» και στον ραδιοσταθμό του κόμματος Στο Κόκκινο, με την αντίδραση της δημοσιογράφου Ναταλί Χατζηαντωνίου που εργαζόταν επί σειρά ετών στον σταθμό, από τον οποίο αναγκάστηκε να αποχωρήσει, να γράφει σε αιχμηρή ανάρτησή της.

«Δύο εικόνες. Οι συνάδελφοί μου στην “Αυγή” και στο Κόκκινο πληρώθηκαν μόνον τον Ιούνιο, και έκτοτε ούτε καν το επίδομα αδείας. Το φθινόπωρο θα φτάσει ούτως ή άλλως άγριο για πολλούς από εμάς. Και ο κ. Κασσελάκης, δεδομένων όλων αυτών και εν όψει όλων αυτών, άνοιξε λίστα γάμου. Οι πρώτοι είναι άνθρωποι που έβαλαν πλάτη επί χρόνια στα δύσκολα. Που και στις πρόσφατες φωτιές έβαλαν από την τσέπη τους για το ρεπορτάζ. Και θέλουν εδώ και μήνες κάποια απάντηση. Κι έχουν κι αυτοί έρωτες. Κι έχουν κι αυτοί οικογένειες. Κι έχουν κι αυτοί δικαιώματα! Σόρι, λοιπόν, αλλά αυτή δεν είναι αριστερή συμπεριφορά, ούτε Αριστερά εν γένει, και δεν χρειαζόμαστε τον Αδωνι να μας το πει. Είναι στοιχειώδες. Και απορώ που δεν υπάρχει ένας βουλευτής να το επισημάνει στον κ. Κασσελάκη» σχολίασε σε ανάρτηση στο facebook και συμπληρώνει απευθυνόμενη προσωπικά στον πρόεδρο του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ: «Να ζήσετε και να ευτυχήσετε και όλα τα καλά σάς ευχόμαστε, αλλά κι όσο έχετε απλήρωτους και απελπισμένους εργαζομένους που εξαρτώνται από τις αποφάσεις σας κρατήστε τις ιδιωτικές σας επιλογές, αν μη τι άλλο, ιδιωτικές. Αλλιώς, η πολιτική σας επιχειρηματολογία πάει στον βρόντο. Και κατά διαόλου».
