EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis):  We have often said that Vladimir Putin is a major “player” in chess, world politics, or both.  Today, he proved it one more time.  In a 4.5-hour interview at the Valdai Club annual meeting at Sochi in the Black Sea, he explained that Russia and the BRICS are not abandoning the US Dollar, but they had to develop ways to do business in an environment restricted by sanctions.  “In my opinion, this is very foolish from the side of US financial authorities because the entire power of the US to date rests on that, on the dollar,” he noted.

What a fantastic “pass” to Donald Trump as he is forming his new administration and receiving many calls from international leaders!! Trump has already said he plans to make peace in Ukraine “in 24 hours”.  At the same time, “Deep State” shady actors, like Mike Pompeo and others, are working behind the scenes to create a shadow government in the US and Europe that would undermine the goals of the Trump administration and would continue the eternal wars all over the globe… They are creating all kinds of traps for Trump in the Middle East, trying to force his hand into an attack against Iran. Such is, in my opinion, the “revelations” they arrested two Iranians who planned to assassinate Trump.

By publicly announcing that the BRICS do not intend to eliminate the dollar, Putin is “undercutting” the warmongers and the “hegemonic” globalists (I could use many other adjectives to describe them—use your imagination). Vladimir Putin is opening the way for direct negotiations with the incoming President. In any case, no power has anything to gain from the sudden demise of the US Dollar: it would certainly lead into global financial disaster. There are many indications that Trump and Putin have already established some communication channels and are trying to make steps toward the new era.

What would this new era be? Over the last two to three years, I have explained that the World is in dire need of a new “Yalta Conference,” where the Great Powers of our time (America, Russia, China, and India) will divide the new spheres of influence and establish a new, balanced financial system. A system where the exploitative Western “Banksters” will have to obey the common rules and abide by the same rules as everyone else around the globe.

Of course, it is a little more complicated than that, and it has wide repercussions: it is as clear as day that one primary goal of the new administration is to take the Federal Reserve Bank away from the hands of the “private sector” (read: “Banksters”) and return it to the Federal Government. Just the magnitude of this effort alone should be enough to justify a coordinated effort among those leaders globally who have as a goal to rif humanity of the self-serving individualas and families and their dreams of dominance.

Russia not rejecting dollar use — Putin

Russia is not struggling with the US currency but is thinking of creating new instruments in response to new trends of global economic development, he added.

SOCHI, November 7. /TASS/. Russia has not sought after and does not seek after rejecting the dollar use, President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club.

“We – Russia in any case – do not reject the dollar and do not intend to do this. We were merely denied of using the dollar as the payment instrument,” Putin said. “In my opinion, this is very foolish from the side of US financial authorities because the entire power of the US to date rests on that, on the dollar,” he noted.

BRICS: Russia Says It Won’t Ditch US Dollar After Trump’s Victory

Jaxon Gaines

In a shocking twist for the BRICS alliance, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that they will not ditch the US dollar. In a sit-down interview Thursday, Putin confirmed that Russia is not abandoning the dollar, it is “simply refusing to use the dollar as a settlement tool.”

Putin called the US dollar a “pillar of US power,” saying that the US is undoing this power. The BRICS bloc has long pushed its de-dollarization initiative, saying the greenback won’t be king for long. The alliance recently discussed de-dollarization at its October Summit, and multiple countries have decided to stop using the dollar.

“The payments in dollars are decreasing,” Putin said. “Not too much, as of yet, but as a means of savings, it’s going down step by step. Very gradually it’s shrinking, it is a trend. It’s their own doing.” In regards to BRICS proposals of ditching the US dollar, the Russian president reaffirmed that “our proposals are not aimed against [the] dollar. This is simply us rising to the challenge of modern times, in response towards the development of the economy we are thinking.”

BRICS Continues Developing Payment System to Rival US Dollar

Putin also discussed how BRICS is currently in the development phase of a unified BRICS payment system rooted in the payment systems of different countries. The new system will be “using the groundwork of the systems in each country in exchanging of financial information,” the Russian president said.

The bloc has continued to embrace trades in local currencies. Moreover, they have worked to develop their unique payment infrastructures. These projects should only encourage financial autonomy. Moreover, they should be clear threats to Western hegemony and US dollar dominance. The most interesting point from Putin’s interview is that despite the de-dollarization efforts, Russia has decided not to ban or abandon the greenback: simply avoid it.

Earlier this year, Donald Trump hinted he would consider lifting sanctions, encouraging the use of the dollar. Now that he will be President again, it will be interesting to see how the bloc responds if he does just that. Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping have already opened the door to speaking to Trump, so perhaps there is a future where BRICS and the US dollar live in harmony.

  1. Nicholas, I think that your comments are “spot on!” Thank you for your analyses. Both Russia and the USA – and the whole world, for that matter – will greatly benefit, if Russia and the USA become allies, rather than enemies. Russia is the largest Orthodox Church in the world. And a friendly relationship between our two countries can open the door to more citizens in the USA to finding – and embracing – the Holy Orthodox Church. They can see how the Orthodox Church has had such a profound impact on both the Nation and people of Russia in the past 30 years. For example, since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, here are some of the positive impacts of the Orthodox Faith upon the Russian Federation and her people:

5 million abortions a year have been reduced to 500,000. And the government gives financial support when the family has three or more children. Unlike our Nation, Russia is encouraging large families!

LGBTQ cannot be taught in schools. You are free to have a homosexual lifestyle, but it is forbidden to promote its unchristian goals

Transgenderism and gender “corrective” surgeries are illegal

The number of Orthodox Seminaries went from one to fifty.

The number of Othodox Churches has increased from 5,000 to 35,000.

When Americans learn about things things, I feel that many will be drawn to seek out the Orthodox Faith for themselves.

    Grant this, O Lord!

  2. Memory Eternal for all the dead people who died in Ukraine and Russia. My heartfelt condolences to their loved ones who bear the pain. How quickly money changes the “picture.” I might add that bank deregulation is being discussed in the news, too. There was a rate cut yesterday. The Fed is happy!
