Those who followed the disgusting political procedures regarding the passing of the same-sex marriage bill last year in Greece recognize one major actor behind all the “pushing” for the unnecessary legislation. His name is Akis Skertsos, a close advisor to PM Mitsotakis and someone who “specializes in lobbying,” according to his bio (link here). But the problem is not simply him; he proclaims loudly what he is – an establishment “rat”…
The problem lies at “the head of the snake”, the Phanar itself. When the issue came to the forefront, all hierarchs of Greece had to take a public position, and all objected to the legislation – albeit with varying degrees of fervor. Some (like Met. Mesogaias Nikolaos and Met. of Piraeus Seraphim) came out strongly against it. Others were not so loud… The Phanar came out DEAD LAST with a lukewarm statement.
Not even a year later, Bartholomew picks the strongest proponent of the same-sex marriage bill and not only invites him to the Phanar but honors him as if he were the personification of the Christian Faith… Look at these photos and try not to puke… Skertsos is sitting next to the Patriarch during the Epiphany service at the most honorary position in the Church of St.George.
The service was transmitted by state TV ERT3, and so everybody in Greece had the chance to puke at the honors paid by Bartholomew to Skertsos.
To refresh your memory, look at this photo where Akis Skertsos celebrates next to the President of Greece, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou, the night the bill was passed at the Parliament, just a few blocks away!!
They were joined by numerous “progressive” politicians of all parties… You can link here and see the joyous crowd…
And a few months later they had another feast at the gay pride parade…

The important part is what WE think about our faith… Obviously we allow it to happen we keep showing up where Elpidoforos shows up we keep donating to the same faltered and unworthy system… so forget about the converts… focus on yourself
I can’t forget about the converts… I won’t… If Elpi or Barto come at the church I go to, I will DEFINATELY go to a different church and let my protest known. So yes, I do take stands and I have spoken up any time I had the opportunity. Not once or twice but for years. But everyone has to do it, not just the few of us that are always vocal about those aberrations.

No surprise….the “leadership ” of the orthodox church has been with the side of country’s elite….as it has done for centuries with the ottoman empire!
The “current” unworthy leadership yes… which of course doesn’t care about the body of the Church since with the moneyed ignorant illiterates of the Leadership 100 and the archons allow this third sacking of Constantinople (and the second time by the Schismatic, Heretic instrument of the Devil the Pope) to happen. Bartholomew et al are welcome to become traitors of the Church and the Faith and join the Vatican in their schismatic heresy… We have already lost the Patriarchate of Rome, we may as well lose Constantinople as well… then we will turn to Jerusalem, Damascus and Alexandria… Now you realize why the unholy alliance of the ZionistoVaticanoAnglicans want to destroy Christianity in the Middle East and Russia? So we will have nowhere to go! Hoping like in 1435 AC we would capitulate to them. This is the 5th crusade boys and girls… we have been target number of one of all the Crusades!
The Phanar has been firm and completely uncompromising that “we do not recognize any other form of union apart from marriage between man and woman.”

While some Greek government officials may disagree with the Phanar’s firm stance on this, it is normal for the Phanar to show respect and honor for any high-ranking representative of government, even if they disagree.
As Orthodox Christians, at least we are not offended that Christ welcomed sinners. Of course some of the Jewish Pharisees were offended that Christ talked and ate with sinners. The Pharisees believed that Christ, by doing so, was leading the Jewish people astray and sending the wrong message!
We wish it was as simplistic as you describe it. But given the past actions (and not words) of the Phanar, given the concentration of gays there, given the promotion of proven egregious homosexuialty of Met. Emmanuel and his assistant Maximos in Paris we cannot simply accept this simplistic view. What else do we need to realize that the Phanar occupants are given wholeheartedly to the devil? And they have never repented! Meanwhile GOARCH promotes the LGBTQ agenda with the woke Fordham “theologians” and in a parish next to me, here in Long Island, since two years ago they try to establish an LGBTQ ministry….

The truly faithful Greek Orthodox Christians must go to their priests and bishops to stop commemoration of the Patriarch and Archbishop!!! It is church cannon law to stop commemorating the heretics! The Holy Fathers of our Church tell us that we will be judged in heresy with the heretics if we do not break communion from them. One of the greatest public defenders of Orthodoxy right now in the entire world is Geronda Savvas Lavriotis!! Please research him and you will see how he is being persecuted for following Christ and His saints. Nothing he says is of his own opinion, he always cites scripture and the explanation given by the Holy Fathers. The patriarch shows his hatred for orthodoxy in many ways, one of which by spreading the word that all religions can be saved, whether they call their (fake)god allah or buddha or whatever. Apparently Bart claims it all leads to God. So might our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be wrong when He told us that nobody will get to the Father without going through the Son first?!! Heaven forbid! There are more blasphemies and heresies by these lovers of evil. Your local priests don’t care because they are afraid to lose their paycheck!!
Spoken like a true prodigy Kyriaki! Let’s also not forget the Parish Councils as well! Their role is not to circulate the “δίσκο” (the offerings basket) but to safeguard the Holy Scriptures, Holy Tradition and Holy Canons and to make sure the Priest doesn’t transgress and trample upon them and that the Laity also learn the liturgical Typikon and to operate the Parish as God wants from us. Start resisting and stop being complacent.

We can all cite beautiful biblical statements like this. And we are all sinners. But we cannot allow ourselves spit out a blanket forgiveness such as this and cover underneath homosexuality, corruption, theft and all other sins and problems we are watching in our church. There is nothing easier than misinterpreting the scriptures. In this particular one, where is repentance? Without it it is meaningless.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ chastised the prostitute and instructed her to correct her ways… He didn’t say… “you are good keep on doing what you are doing”. The monks of Lavra continue to be persecuted. More fake court cases to come after the one that took place today. As it was reported last year, even the pope made a statement and asked for the government of Ukraine not to interfere with the Lavra monks but Bartolomew, decided to stay silent as usual.
