This is a remarkable part of Greek History!!… You see, it is part of our culture not to establish “ghettos” as we migrate all over the world… Especially in Hellenistic times (the three centuries after the death of Alexander the Great), when the Greek language became the “lingua franca” of the world, the openness of the Greek cities to the rest of the people, the peaceful Hellenic cosmopolitanism, was the standard throughout most of the globe. And it gave rise to Christianity… The emphasis was not to subjugate others but to exchange – trade produts, ideas, and cultural artifacts… An absolute example is the city of Ai-Khanoum in Afghanistan, in the middle of Asia. This is Hellenism at its best! Enjoy and be proud!!

Σε πιο λεπτό το είδες; Γιατί εγώ πρόσεξα ένα χρυσό ήλιο της Βεργίνας κάπου στα μνηνεία – και όχι τη σημερινή παράνομη σημαία… Εξάλλου το βίντεο μιλά για αρχαια ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ πόλη…

Δείχνει στο 1:40 αυτό ειναι το άγαλμα που έχουν στα Σκόπια στην κεντρική πλατεία τους και η Σημαία τους!! Ναι μιλούν για Hellenistic times αλλα νομίζουν πραγματικά ειναι αυτή η σημαία των Μακεδόνων!!
I saw – they are obviously confused… because in the rest of the video it’s all about Greek art and culture… and the term “Macedonian” almost doesn’t exist. It’s all about “Greek” and “Hellenistic”.
