EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis). “It is not the role of a visiting prime minister to dictate how Germany should conduct arms sales. However, there is an understanding that such transactions must meet certain criteria. Countries seeking closer ties with the EU should align with its foreign and defense policy, ideally through a formal agreement.”
Dear friends, listen to Mitsotakis!! His country, Greece, is under a “casus belli” announced in the Turkish Parliament in 1995 (!!), half of Cyprusd is Turksh-occupied, we have had tens or hundreds of airspace and territorial waters violations, etc, etc… Yet, he is willing to accept Germany (and Britain and Spain) allow Turkey have advanced fighters? How does this align with the European declarations about the borders of Ukraine and the Russian invasion? Mitsotakis was the first prime minister of Greece of the last 80 years (since Yalta) who violated the standard policy: “We belong to the West but we also maintain good relations with Russia… Russia door has to stay always open to Greece.”
Yes, later on, the press secretary Mr. Marinakis gave an explanation – but this is too serious an issue for a prime minister to fumble his statement. Do I need to remind you once again of the long-standing relations of the Mitsotakis family with the Germans? For this family, being in government is all about business and profit….
Hopefully the Greek people will soon wake up – with the help of the Diaspora – and send them where they belong: to the trash can of history….
BELOW THE PRESS CONFERENCE BETWEEN MITSOTAKIS AND MERZ – WHO ALSO has pledged to transform Germany’s military into the strongest conventional force in Europe. While he did not claim it would be the “biggest army in history” !!! Every time Germany has done that, the result is a World War….

“I will tell you that it is not the job of a prime minister visiting a large country, such as Germany, to indicate how he will make sales of weapons systems,” stressed Kyriakos Mitsotakis, responding to a question from journalists about the Eurofighters, in the context of the joint press conference with Friedrich Merz.
The prime minister pointed out: “However, I believe there is an understanding regarding the need for such sales to meet certain conditions, which have to do with third countries.”
“Third countries should comply with the common foreign and security policy”
He added that “third countries that want to connect with Europe must show compliance with the common foreign and security policy and why not sign a defense cooperation agreement with the EU.
