The whole family is devastated – Crowds of people at the last “goodbye”
A crowd of people, including several politicians, are bidding farewell to Antonis Samaras ‘ daughter , Lena Samaras, who passed away suddenly last Thursday evening at the age of 34, plunging her family into mourning.
At 1 pm the funeral service began at the church of Saint Theodoros.
At approximately 12:30, Georgia Samara , the mother of the deceased 34-year-old , arrived at the First Cemetery of Athens in a visibly bad condition and with her head bowed.
The shocking funeral
A few minutes later, former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras arrived at the scene with his son, Konstantinos. Both were devastated.
“Courage, President,” citizens shouted at Antonis Samaras upon his arrival.

” What should a father say who loses his child, what should a mother say who loses her womb, what should a brother say who loses his other half when his soul loses its most loyal companion?”
What can I say as a father about this breath of love that filled our lives, about this secret aura of kindness that touched so many with her loss.
We are not saying goodbye to Lena today. We will always be with her, next to her light, her smile, her humility. Next to her bright blue eyes, a piece of brilliance from Greece. Next to her love that she offered without return. She touched so many with her loss who were so grateful. Good luck, Lena, good luck and to God. Lena shone when she gave.
