EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis) We are happy to announce the launch of a new podcast by Misha Voin and our good friend George Michalopulos: HEGEMONIX. Their focus: Geopolitics from an Orthodox perspective. Helleniscope wishes them every success!! And we encourage you to follow them! Below are their short biographies:
Mikhail S. Voin was born in Lexington, KY, in 1967 and was raised in Northern Kentucky. He obtained his first B.A. from Transylvania University in Lexington in 1989. Voin worked in the Kentucky State Legislature in 1990 and thereafter for various entities, including the Fayette County Attorney’s Office. He earned a J.D. from Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, KY, and worked for Gailor Law Office (Louisville) as well as Rosenbaum and Rosenbaum (Lexington). In late 2003, he founded Pennington Law Office, where he was a senior attorney for over ten years. Voin retired at the beginning of 2014 and has since obtained a degree in Russian Studies.

George Michalopulos is one-half of the well-known blog Monomakhos. (The other half is the lovely Gail Sheppard.) He hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has been practicing pharmacy for forty years. A graduate of Tulsa University (where he took a year studying Russian) and the University of Oklahoma (where he studied pharmaceutical sciences). He received his license in 1984. He helped found Holy Apostles Orthodox Church (OCA) with the blessing of Archbishop Dmitri Royster of Dallas in 2002. He is the proud father of two sons (Constantine and Michael) and is now the proud grandfather of Sophia Eleni.
