Manhattan: Mitsotakis and Archbishop of America at an event of Greek community organizations

At noon on Wednesday, September 24 , the Greek Prime Minister delivered a speech at an event for Greek diaspora organizations at the Union League Club in Manhattan .
The event was organized by 28 Greek-American organizations, including AHEPA, PSEKA, AHI, HANC and others and brought together approximately 250 guests.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to the strategic importance of the Greece-US relationship , emphasizing the shared democratic tradition and the importance of cooperation at the international level.
Furthermore, he underlined Greece’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region, despite the challenges it faces.
The event was also attended by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America , businessman and philanthropist John Katsimatides , and the Prime Minister’s wife, Mareva Mitsotakis . Mr. Katsimatides, known for his philanthropic work and support for the Orthodox Church, actively participated in the discussions.
As part of the event, Kyriakos Mitsotakis awarded the Order of the Phoenix to four prominent Greeks : author Nicholas Gage, Metropolitan Methodius of Boston, businessman Dean Metropoulos, and philanthropist Mary Jaharis, for their contributions to the Greek community and culture .
Finally, we should also note the participation of our US correspondent , Andreas Dermitzakis, in the event.
Mitsotakis’ speech at the “Protecting Children in the Digital Age” event
On the second day of the UN General Assembly in New York, Kyriakos Mitsotakis initially participated in a major event titled “Protecting Children in the Digital Age” , organized by Australia. This event focused on the protection of children in the digital world , with an emphasis on the challenges posed by social networks and artificial intelligence .
The Prime Minister referred to the need for stricter regulations to protect minors from digital exploitation and stressed that “guns decide who will survive” in the modern world, referring to the influence of technologies on society .
This event highlighted international cooperation to address the challenges posed by the digital age to child protection , with the participation of leading leaders and organizations.

Something doesn’t sound right here.
First of all, isn’t the Order of the Phoenix a masonic award? I suppose it would be no surprise for Mitsotakis to be a Freemason. And didn’t Archbishop Sotirios get the same award? I seem to recall an article in Orthodox Reflections about that. It makes sense the Freemasons would be governing the country of Greece and likely rewarding each other. No wonder there is so much corruption and anti-Christian political drama going on.
Secondly, how can he even pretend to know anything about “protecting children in the digital age” when he is a firm supporter of the electronic (digital) ID card in Greece and is trying to get everyone, including children to adopt that? “I’ll protect you from the digital age if you just give up your privacy and your freedom to me and get the digital ID card. Trust me.” Seriously? What hypocrisy!
