Although I have no doubt the government is using evangelical Christians and their Zionist beliefs to support US-Israel policies, I have a hard time believing Chuck Smith and Lonnie Frisbee among others were CIA operatives.
Maybe – but take a look at our other post where an Orthodox monk (a British convert) was a major intelligence operative in 1949s Greece causing untold harm by pushing the country to a civil war. This is nothing new… if the Brits did it in the 1949s you can bet they gave the idea to their US “friends”… yes, it was in a different frame – but using religion for political purposes is an old idea..
I don’t disagree with you that Brits and US governments are involved with this. But Dyer makes it seem as if most evangelical leaders are working for the CIA. Being influenced is more like it.
