Greek Mountain Tea offers a huge list of health benefits.

In the mountains of Greece, there is a wild tea called “Chai tou Bounou,” also known as Greek Mountain Tea.

I once went into a natural medicine store and found a book about Greek Mountain Tea by Terry Lemerond. He is a natural health expert with 50 years of experience helping people live healthier lives. He writes that Hippocrates used the tea to treat many ailments in Ancient Greece.

Studies have shown that Greek Mountain Tea may help combat Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes, improve digestive health, reduce insulin resistance, promote weight loss, relieve joint pain, and more.

According to the book Greek Mountain Tea: A Life-Changing Botanical, the tea contains health-promoting minerals such as potassium, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, sodium, manganese, iron, copper, and zinc. These nutrients may help support bone density and overall health.

I encourage people to try Greek Mountain Tea and consider drinking it regularly to enjoy its health benefits.

When someone cleans up their diet, their mood and health often improve. Greeks should remember that the Ancient Greeks practiced natural medicine and valued healthy living. People have the power to improve their health through exercise and by eating a traditional Greek village diet of vegetables, meats, fruits, and nuts with very little grain. In fact, one does not need bread to survive.

The processed food industry in the United States has contributed to widespread health problems since the 1960s. Years ago, I realized that I needed to stay healthy by eating the diet of my Greek ancestors. I eat dandelion greens, which are commonly consumed in villages and towns across Greece. Dandelion root tea is also considered a healthy detox tea in the naturopathic medicine world.

The book about Greek Mountain Tea by Terry Lemerond opened my eyes to the benefits of drinking Greek Mountain Tea on a regular basis.

Greece offers Greek Mountain Tea—something that may help improve your health and well-being if you choose to live a healthier lifestyle.

  1. There is a good reason at the beginning of every May my grandparents’ generation would hike up the mountain to collect this tea and secure a “year’s supply” for the home before the goat herds would go up to those peaks for the summer…there were no doctors in the village back in those days, and they had to rely on “practical medicinal knowledge” handed down from generation to generation….
