OUR MAIN PHOTO (and note from Helleniscope): Supremely arrogant and full of hubris, Bartholomew had himself hagiographed in Saint Nicholas of Ground Zero!! Helleniscope has been asking him REPEATEDLY (at least twice a year since 2019) to call up the Police Department in Paris, France, and demand (he is the supervising authotity and he has every right to do so) the police report for the “Bulgarian Gay Escort” scandal performed by Emmanuel (now of Chalcedon) and Maximnos WITHIN THE BUILDING OF THE PARIS METROPOLIS, Bartholomew not only did nothing but he promoted the “duo” – instead of sending them to Athos for a year of repentance… Meanwhile, he removed from the internet all previous statements he had issued declaring homosexuality a sin… And some videos too…

There have been daily assaults on our Christian faith. Not by “unbelievers”, but those who portray themselves as “saviors” of Christianity. Those faith leaders, who close their eyes and ears to the obvious use of Christ’s image and message, to promote their own agenda, to not “stir” the waters, who go as far as to call those blasphemers “pious” and “faithful”, are unworthy (anaxioi) to call themselves religious leaders
Christianity has been denigrated, assaulted, and transformed into a useful idiot in the service of a vile and selfish president and an even worse secretary of war. The president sent a picture of himself as Jesus Christ performing a miracle, while Hegseth, has prayed to God to give America His blessing, to obliterate the Iranians. He has made clear that every missile the United States fires, every bomb it drops, every Iranian it kills, is for Jesus. Praise be the Lord, who has given America the power to wipe out an entire civilization.
Only the Pope, American bishops, and some pastors who are not part of the MAGA cult have had the conviction of their beliefs to stand up to this mockery. The Catholics, under the Pope’s leadership, have condemned the worship of mortals and money, the pitfalls of arrogance, and the “absurd and inhuman violence” unleashed by fighting that has further destabilized the world.
The Pope wrote: “God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs.” The Pope continued: “speaking out loudly about the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do.”
How original, how refreshing. A religious leader is here to speak about the Gospel. To anyone in power who uses it for their own benefit. It seems that the Pope was disinvited from America’s 250th birthday celebration. Speaking out against the denigration of the Gospel and the image of Christ is the first line of defense against the enemies of Christianity. No matter what the consequences are. If they are disinvited to celebrations, it’s not that painful. We have the example of martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the Gospel.
From our own religious leadership, not a peep. None of the Metropolitans, or the archbishop. Many G.O. are wondering why the AB has not taken a position. Why hasn’t he spoken out? Because speaking out does not serve his ulterior goals. He considers himself a politician, a diplomat and ethnarch. He can’t badmouth Trump. The president is vindictive. He will be disinvited next year from the March 25th excursion to the White House.  Once you’re within the circle of the powerful, even for 15 minutes a year, you’re hooked. You will not hold those in power to account. The truth of the Gospel is the least of your worries. Sure, you give homilies every Sunday, but that is intended for the “sheep”. For the powerful, the rich, the politicians, you’re all smiles and sycophantic praises.
As if Elpidoforos’ failure to defend the Gospel is not enough, his invitation of the Muslim mayor of N.Y.C. showed his disregard of the solemnity of Great Friday. The Orthodox Observer has pictures of Elpidoforos and the mayor smiling. But they did not include the picture of the two actually laughing and talking, while in the church itself, on a day that we mourn the death of our Savior. I have attached the picture of the visible levity, of a hierarch who represents the church, which church is in mourning. And of course, the AB’s example was followed by the president of the council, who with Mamdani, competed who will present the brightest smile.. At least, those two are outside of the church.
Mr Nick Stamatakis, of the website Helleniscope, said it best:
“In what is, by its very nature, a funeral—a burial service for Christ Himself—those present, including Archbishop Elpidophoros and Mayor Mamdani, are seen smiling. Not in passing, not incidentally, but openly and visibly, joined by others who appear similarly at ease, even cheerful. They cannot contain their explosion of happiness at the burial of Christ!!
This is not a minor detail. It is a profound contradiction. And it is absolutely reprehensible that even other officials who participated seem to smile and approve of the atrocious, sacrilegious acts by Elpidoforos…
What exactly is being expressed in those moments? What understanding of Holy Friday allows for such visible levity? The Epitaphios is a service of mourning, of stillness, of sacred sorrow. It calls the faithful into silence and reflection, into a posture that mirrors the grief of those who stood at the tomb.”
Elpidophoros’s invitation to Mamdanii on a Holly Friday is also uncanonical. Orthodox liturgy is not a “performance” or a “show” to be enjoyed. It is a participatory mystery, by believers, or those who are catechumens. And only up to the point where the priest calls out “The doors, The doors”, meaning that even catechumens should be kept in the Narthex, until they are baptized. Obviously, Mamdani is not planning to convert. If this invitation was intended as outreach to a politician, Good Friday is the wrong time to do it. Invite him to an after-church dinner.
A lesson learned: Our leaders are not leading by example, but only by empty words. Learn about your faith on your own.

  1. Why are you all wondering. Haven’t you figured it out yet? He( Elpi) is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Designating him in the ranks of the unfaithful is indeed an insult to the unfaithful. The unfaithful are weak but most struggle to overcome their passions. He is the Antichrist. Personification of satan on earth and in this beautiful country of ours. Your reference to France is noted. By why travel abroad? How about exposing everything we know about Elpidoktonos now. Here and now!!! There is plenty to expose. So why not start now. Start with him and continue with his groupies. It’s the only way we will save our church. Our Church of America. Start there and carry on across the border to turkey. Lots to speak and write about there. Start low and grow high. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll read and discover. Decades of deviant behavior and atrocious lifestyles within the patriarchal circles. Help HELLENISCOPE fulfill its mission of transparency. You want transparency?!!! Let’s expose Elpidoktonos, or. Elpidofthoros, his chief transparency officer, the corrupt finance officer, his whatever he is chancellor, and everyone associated with them. To be continued…

    • Concerned Orthodox.

You sound like you have stories to tell, or at least know of actions that we dont know of. But, you are encouraging others to speak up, while you’re speaking in riddles. If you have anything to say, say it. As long as you present evidence, in photos, emails, videos or witnesses. No faked news or lies. Just the truth. If you have the truth, then, you have nothing to be afraid of. And also, you have no reason not to use your name, as Nick and myself do

      • Bob…I think there has been more than plenty of “real (scandalous) news” showing violations of Canons and Tradition, that in the days of the Church Fathers who attended the Ecumenical Synods, Elpidophoros and many others would have long been deposed and banished into the oblivion of Church History…
The real problem is not a “lack of news”…it’s that we are in an era of overall declined spirituality and zeal…an era of “complacency”, the type that ironically we were just advised to avoid in the Nympios troparion of Holy Week (unworthy is the servant who He finds slothful…)
The laity (especially the wealthy “archons”) are not reacting to these scandals as a common front, so there is no incentive to change the behavior (i.e. while donations are still coming in, etc)…compare this passiveness to the active “reception” of the treasonous delegation on the docks of Constantinople when the traitors returned from Ferrara…

  2. What started as a terrible case of “serving two masters” for several of these “leaders” appears to have devolved into a predominant persistence in “serving the wrong master” for most of the 24 hours of each day, while maintaining (and by extension abusing) a position of authority in the Church whose head is the “True Master”…
Even worse, these “leaders” not only believe that the faithful are stupid and ignorant, but they have actively enabled an army of “PhDs” (pseudo-theologians) to “enforce” that belief in the public domain…However, the faithful are not stupid or ignorant…they are victims of “divide and conquer”, and the majority of them are too entangled in “wordly cares of life” to organize in a way that would successfully challenge the corrupt, irreverent regime that has hijacked the Church in recent decades…

  3. What does Patriarch Kirill say about the war in Iran? I haven’t heard anything, except that he expressed his condolences last month on the death of the Iranian supreme muslim religious leader.

One does gets the impression, though, that the war in Iran is causing trouble for Patriarch Kirill’s “holy war” against Ukraine. Iran is a major supplier of drones to Russia. That supply chain may be in trouble.

    • Patriarch Kirill at the moment plays the role any Constantinople Patriarch would play in Byzantium: supporter of the Emperor and identified with the State. Bartholomew cannot play this basic role – that’s why Karloutsos wanted to move the Phanar to Washington DC 10-15 years ago… He ended up disgracing himself forever by blessing the Turkish Army’s invasion to Syria…

  4. I’d think twice about ranking Pope Leo among the axioi religious leaders. His less worthy pronouncements include the notion that the USA ought to open its doors to “refugees”, i.e., illegal aliens, with no evident awareness that they might not actually be refugees – and if they were, their appearance at our borders would be in response to some sort of world crisis. Pope Leo is the product of sixty years of hard-left Catholicism, nothing more. I find myself wondering with increasing trepidation: if in fact the EP does declare some sort of unity with Rome, how are we the faithful supposed to react?

    • I agree with you Mrs Mutton: Pope Leo is on the road to promoting “Chislam”, the fusion of Catholicism and Islam.

FWIW, Frank Herbert in his Dune series, predicted this happening decades ago.

  5. Follow the money and you will find the answers. Look who holds the purse strings and controls the money of the archdiocese. The Epstein Jews have infiltrated our church undercover. Tried to leave the clergy pensionless. Charging the parishes at every turn. The cost of clergy laity is though the roof. Are they using it to make money? Now controlling Astoria and taking breaking things up into stocks and shares. The have wreaked havoc on the world and now it’s happening on the inside of the Orthodox Church in America. They have every incentive to especially destroy orthodox Christianity which is probably the greatest obstacle in the way of Zionism and the greater Israel project. This should be investigated.

  6. “Pope Leo is on the road to promoting “Chislam”

not just Pope Leo. Barto too. So I can’t blame the pope when the other ‘one without equals” is not any better.
