===============================================

There are many parallels in Joshua 1 to what we’re experiencing today:

Joshua 1:

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it.

12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,

13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;

15 Until the Lord have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord‘s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.

17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the Lord thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.

18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

So, what is the United States of America if not the land God gave to us?  Did we not come here to worship God?  Are we not here by God’s grace?  Did we not survive the voyage and harsh winters because He allowed it?  Did He not grant our struggling forefathers victory over England?  Did He not entrust them with the tools to fashion our inheritance into a republic, basing our rule of law on Judeo-Christians principals?

If the answer to these questions is “yes,” bear with me a little longer.

This is the United States of America, folks.  God gave this land to us, and like Joshua, we are expected to fight for our inheritance.

We have a Jericho within our midst.  Just like the city, it is surrounded by an impenetrable wall.  Behind its walls, are people who are plotting to destroy this country and rebuild it into something of their own making, for they have no god.  It grows like a cancer and it is evil.  Their tentacles run deep and are stifling our very way of life in an effort to snuff it out completely.  They have closed our churches and forced us into hiding.  Were it possible, they would burn this country to the ground and have said so many times.

But God can be trusted. He has sent us a “commander of the army of the Lord” to deliver Jericho into our hands and we are His army.

All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go:

Prayer for our Country and our President, Donald J. Trump

O LORD JESUS CHRIST OUR GOD!

Accept from us, Thine unworthy servants, this fervent supplication, and forgive us all our sins.

By Thine all-powerful might, mercifully deliver all of us, Thy Holy Church, and our Nation from every evil circumstance.

Free our homeland from all enemies, both visible and invisible and their power. Hearken unto the painful cry of Thy faithful servants who cry unto Thee day and night in tribulation and sorrow, O our most Merciful God, and lead our lives out of corruption.

Remember, O Lord Jesus Christ our God, Thy Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church in this land. May all Orthodox hierarchs, clergy, and laity fear Thee alone. From our midst, by the power of Thy Holy Spirit, quickly uproot and destroy all cowardice, faithlessness, hopelessness, political scheming, wanton ignorance, schism, and heresy. Grant peace and tranquility, love and steadfastness, abiding faith and piety, and swift reconciliation to Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed by Thy precious Blood.

O Lord, protect the integrity of the US Presidency, give wisdom and strength to President Donald J. Trump, the Supreme Court of our country, and our patriotic leaders in this terrible time of trouble, fraud, dishonesty, deceit, and forced conning, and harken unto the voice of the supplication of us sinners: expose and stop all corruption, all lies, all machinations, and all unseemly deeds treacherously designed against the stability of our country, our rightfully elected president, Donald J. Trump, and against the law-abiding and Truth-loving people of America. Forgive and bless President Donald J. Trump to lead our country for another four years against all enemies, domestic and foreign, and grant lasting peace and security to our United States of America, and have mercy on us all, for a merciful God art Thou, and the Lover of mankind, and unto Thee do we send up glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen!
