EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis): A recent Fox News poll showed that more democrats favor socialism. This is only the latest in a series of polls that show how misguided Americans are – especially the youngest people who are also the most vulnerable to those ideological lies (I know because I was one of them before the age of 19, after that age, I recovered quickly…) We are not surprised that this persistent ideological lie, which has produced more death and catastrophes on Earth than any other ideology, has survived. Do I need to remind you that not only Lenin and Stalin (and Mao Zedong and Pol Pot and… ) were socialist murderers, but also Hitler and Mussolini were also “nationalist socialists”…
We Greeks and Greek-Americans have many survivors of socialism among us to refer to – the latest example are the Greeks of Northern Epirus who suffered through decades of the worst type of communism on earth. And many thousands of others from Eastern Europe and Russia. Please talk to anyone who lived in Eastern Europe or in China, Cambodia, Vietnam during these dark decades… If you cannot do that, then here is a refresher of the differences between Capitalism and Socialism…
