EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis): Helleniscope was probably among the first – if not the first – to underline the total absence of support to the 150,000 Greeks of Eastern Ukraine in the current circumstances. Other news media followed us in Greece and finally today the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, traveled to Mariupol, a major center of the Greek community just a few miles away from the disputed area of Donbas… You can read the news below in English and Greek. Many, among them US Ambassador to Athens Jeffrey Pyatt, tried to intervene and interpret the visit as support for Ukraine.
Sorry, Mr.Pyatt, you and many others fail to mention that more than 95% of the Greeks in Ukraine speak Russian and they go to Churches under the Moscow Patriarchate. Does this mean that they do not deserve support from Greece and the Constantinople Patriarchate? No, they deserve our wholehearted love and support. Yet, Pat. Bartholomew still to this day remains silent. Why? Because this Greek community is not part of his ill-fated plan to give autocephaly/cacocephaly to the 20% of Ukrainian Orthodox, while the 70% are under the Moscow Patriarchate… Pat. Bartholomew, instead of being Christian first and showing he cares for the fellow Greeks of Ukraine, showed his interest in the Tatar Turks of Ukraine, as we reported recently….
We did not expect anything better from the man who blessed the Turkish army as they were annihilating the oldest Christian Church in Syria!!!

Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias Visit the Greeks of Eastern Ukraine
visited the Organization for Security & Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in the city of Mariupol (Marioupolis) on Monday.
Dendias tweeted that he was “briefed on the security situation on the ground and the Mission’s work.”
Earlier in the day, the Greek minister visited Mariupol’s City Council, where he “had a fruitful meeting with the city’s First Deputy Mayor, M. Kogut and the Chairman of Mariupol district council S. Mahsma,” he said in another tweet.
In another tweet on his meetings with Greek communities, he said, “In Ukraine together with the Greek expatriates! I visited the 8th Modern Greek Language Learning School and met with the teachers, the head of the civil-military Administration of Sartana and members of the Greek community of Sartana and Chermalyk.” In Sartana, specifically, he also layed a wreath at the monument of fallen Greek expatriates.
Dendias also spoke on the telephone with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
“I informed my Ukrainian counterpart about my visit to Mariupol in order to stand by the Greek community and the intention of Greece to strengthen its Consulate General in the city,” Dendias said on social media.
According to the same post, Kuleba thanked Greece for its decision to not withdraw its staff from its embassy in Kiev, while Dendias reiterated that Greece supports the independence and territorial integrity of all states.
After the completion of his visits to the cities of Mariupol and Sartana, Dendias told reporters that Greece will stand by and support Greek communities in Ukraine.
“I am today here in Mariupol, only a few kilometers away from the main point of tension between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, to support by my presence the Greek community here, one of more than 100,000 people, at the behest of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis,” Dendias underlined.
US ambassador’s comment
US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt welcomed the visit of Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias to Ukraine on Monday.
Specifically, the American diplomat commented on Dendias’ visit to the Organization for Security & Cooperation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in the city of Mariupol, calling it “an important and very welcome signal of support for the important work of OSCE’s SMM in Ukraine.”

Greece should expel Pyatt and increase ties with both Russia and China and position itself as a neutral country.
And as for Bart, he should be totally anathematized and ignored and all donations to Patriarchate should stop immediately as they should also stop to his fellow Metropolitans from the Phanar…America, Australia, Europe. All they know is money…so starve them out.
As crime continues to climb- and will continue to climb in the NYC metropolitan areas— the churches have already emptied out… it’s NYC crime- not the masking that will be keeping people out and drying up the coffers… the billionaires will carry -allegedly carry and sustain cathedral and shrine– all others primed for real$$estate…
Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 1:1
