EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis). I thought we had seen everything in the crazy times we live in, but it seems that 2022 has many more surprises for us… Please look at this poster from the official gift shop of the White House, where the two top brass ornaments celebrate Christmas and the Ukrainian Orthodox Feast of Epiphany… But wait!… Isn’t Zelensjy a Jew? Yes, he is… And isn’t his wife, Olena Zelenska, an Orthodox Christian? Yes, she is… I tried to find more information online, but I could hardly verify it – very little is known about their wedding in 2003… And I have a big question mark whether she is under the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC) or not – I remember seeing somewhere that she is… And how about their kids’ religious affiliation? If they follow the Jewish practice, the children should follow the mother’s religion…
But the White House Gift store has no real interest in religion these days, except exploiting it for the “optics” (what a silly term!)… And so they make Zelensky the Jew part of Christmas and Epiphany!! Does Patriarch Bartholomew have anything to say? No, nothing at all!! On the opposite: You might soon see a statement coming out of the Phanar in favor of the “pan-religion,” and they would certainly see this “Zelensky celebrating Epiphany” as a step in the right direction!! We are lucky they haven’t (yet) allowed holy communion to dogs!!
God save us all!…

Both the Ukraine and Russia are on the “Old” Orthodox calendar. January 6 on the “New” Papist calendar is Christmas Eve (December 24) in the “Old” Orthodox calendar. January 19 NC (= January 06 OC) is Theophany (Epiphany). So the ornament in question, with the Zelenskyy couple on it, is basically celebrating the (Old Calendar) Orthodox 12 Days of Christmas (January 7-19).
While unfortunately some Orthodox Churches allow mixed marriages between Orthodox Christians and Papists and Protestants*; marriages between Orthodox Christians and those of other religions (Jews, Moslems, Buddhists, etc.) are absolutely forbidden! So, Zelenskyy’s wife cannot be an Orthodox Christian in good standing. *(Traditional Orthodox Christians do not allow mixed marriages. An Orthodox Christian who wishes to marry, MUST marry another Orthodox Christian!)
Some of us realize we are in economic collapse and some of us are still fast asleep. The predatory capitalists are now eating it’s own. That’s all folks! Bye bye.
This year Americans celebrate:
1. Economic collapse
2. Inflation
3. Medical tyranny
4. Transhumant ideology
5 LGBQT
6. Murder and mayhem on the streets
7. Joblessness
Pension loss
7. Supply chain breakdowns
8. High utility bills
Add whatever you like to the list.
Apostasy in churches
I am not celebrating.
If she married a jew, Olena is excommunicated and no longer Orthodox.
Are they making up their own rules as they go along? My friend from grammar school was and is Greek-Orthodox- she met her soulmate, a Jewish boy from Queens; she didn’t want a city hall marriage. The powers that be had one rule back then– he had to get totally “immersed” –baptized –then a church wedding. What happened to rules?
Who says Zelensky is Jewish? The only reason people (mostly Zionists) call him a “Jew” is because one of his grandfathers was “Jewish”. Let’s not speculate on scenarios that may not be true.
When it fits him, he himself says he is Jewish…
