EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis): One of the public’s responses via Twitter to the announcement last week that the former TNH Publisher A.Diamataris had visited the Greek Prime minister’s office to present to Kyriakos Mitsotakis his MBA diploma from Columbia Business School catches in one proverbial phrase the essence of Diamataris’s action: “Ο έξυπνος παραδέχεται Ο πονηρός δικαιολογείται Ο ηλίθιος επιμένει,” which translates freely as “The smart one admits (his mistake), the cunning looks for excuses, the idiot insists”… Diamataris belongs to the third category, and he is a certifiable idiot… For over three years, he has been trying to prove that he did not lie when it is evident to all that he did!… The funniest thing of all is that he himself provided the full evidence for his lies in a lawsuitthat he filed against Columbia University in July of 2021 (Please link here to our post and follow the various links to the evidence).

You can also link here to our previous post last week…

Well, today, the Athens website documentonews.gr, which was instrumental in re-posting the original posts from kalami.net and expanding on the story, returned to the story against Diamataris and brought it once again to the forefront… The likely result of this renewed focus on Diamataris will be that whatever plans he had for a “political career” in Greece are now in ruins… He is likely done for good…

And he deserves it.  He displayed extreme narcissism that blinded him every step of the way…  Will he ever learn the lesson? Please allow me to have serious doubts… Suppose anyone wants to understand Diamataris, Karloutsos, Andriotis, Galatoulas, and the others who committed serious trespasses in our community. In that case, they have to understand that they lived in a communications “bubble,” where not much of what they were doing ever saw the light of day… Things have changed recently, as we all know, as independent media, including Helleniscope, are revealing the whole truth in all its magnificence!!…

Was Diamataris Dismissed or Voluntarily Withdrawn From Columbia University?

The former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonis Diamataris, may have claimed regarding his infamous degree from Columbia University that he did not complete the course due to financial problems, but according to revealing documents brought to light by the expatriate online newspaper “Kalami”, he had been expelled from the University in 1977.

According to the document published by the newspaper in which the name of Antonis Diamataris is written, dated February 24, 1977, he had been expelled for “academic reasons” from the University in January of the same year.

At the same time, the newspaper also brought to light a letter from the University in question to Mr. Diamataris, dated February 3, 2020, which states, among other things, that they searched their archives and found that in January 1977, Mr. Diamataris had been expelled, a fact which confirms the original document.

It is worth noting that during the period when he claimed that he had financial problems because of this and left the University, according to his testimony, he had bought a percentage of the National Herald, while two years later, he also bought the rest.

It is recalled that about a week ago he was presenting to us… full of pride, posing next to the prime minister, the master’s degree from Columbia, to prove to us that it really exists.

Αποβλήθηκε ή αποχώρησε οικειοθελώς ο Διαματάρης από το Πανεπιστήμιο Columbia;

  1. congratulations and thanks to helleniscope and the staff for bringing the true and only the true about any article we read on the website

  2. If the degree that Diamataris is showing off to the cameras today is valid, then it would also be valid during the period when he was deputy minister. So the reason he hadn’t gotten the degree was due to some confusion, not some fraudulent purpose! You revolve around meaningless formalities.

    • Are you blind? The date of the MBA degree is October 2021!! And the date on the BA degree from Queens College is September 2020… The dates he was deputy minister were 2019 (July – December). How could he have gotten an MBA without having a BA? And why did he give the excuse that he didn’t have money then (in the 1970s)? Where did he find the money to buy the National Herald? We all know where he found the money…
