EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis):  In a disgraceful move that should upset every normal human being on Earth, the British government announced that they plan to send depleted uranium bombs to be used with the “Challenger” tanks they will send to Ukraine. If you want to learn more about the environmental and human disasters that depleted uranium can cause please link here.  But we have seen no reaction at all from the so-called “environmentalists… Did you hear any reaction from the “Green” Patriarch Bartholomew?  Don’t hold your breath… By green he meant “dollar green”…

Putin, of course, reacted in the same way he has reacted before, warning Britain that “this will end badly for her.” It’s not the first time the Russians have said that if things go down this road, London will be the first target of their (nuclear) attacks…

The question, of course, is why the UK would react so recklessly… There is a simple answer to this: Because they are losing, or to put it more plainly, because the West has lost the Ukraine war – and there are no two ways about it.  The whole Western elites are going through the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance), and it will take them some time to realize that the world has changed.  We are now going through a perilous phase of anger, and hopefully, we will get through this without a nuclear catastrophe.

A sign of hope comes from the upper leadership of the Pentagon, where some sense of realism has prevailed, and they are trying to put the reins on the blood-thirsty neocons of the State Department.  Meanwhile, Russia has signed numerous agreements with China in the 3-day (!!) visit of President Xi to Moscow, Iran and Saudi Arabia are full speed ahead in normalizing their relationship and the whole “Global South” is gearing for a new reserve currency. If you wanted a better sign of America’s foreign policy collapse here it is: For the past year even Mexico is flirting with China and Russia…

Russia’s Putin blasts UK move to send ammo with depleted uranium to Ukraine

March 21 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday condemned British plans to send tank ammunition that contains depleted uranium to Ukraine, saying Moscow would be forced to respond accordingly.

Speaking in London on Monday, Minister of State for Defence Annabel Goldie said some of the ammunition for the Challenger 2 battle tanks that Britain is sending to Ukraine includes armour piercing rounds which contain depleted uranium.”If all this happens, Russian will have to respond accordingly, given that the West collectively is already beginning to use weapons with a nuclear component,” Putin said in remarks after a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He did not elaborate.

Russian politicians and commentators have made a series of combative remarks since the invasion of Ukraine last year, suggesting Moscow would – if necessary – be prepared to deploy its vast nuclear arsenal.

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said the British decision left fewer and fewer steps before a potential “nuclear collision” between Russia and the West.

“Another step has been taken, and there are fewer and fewer left,” he told reporters in remarks cited by domestic agencies.

Depleted uranium is used in weapons because it can penetrate tanks and armour more easily due to its density and other physical properties, a point that Goldie made.

It is a particular health risk around impact sites, where dust can get into people’s lungs and vital organs.

“Naturally, Russia has something to answer this with,” Shoigu told reporters when asked about the ammunition.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the plan the “Yugoslavia scenario”, saying the ammunition caused cancer and infected the environment.
