All past Archbishops of America tried to “balance on two boats,” the American and the Greek. This was not an easy task: After the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the politically deft and astute AB Iakovos was nicknamed “CIA-kovos”, for his supposed ties to American Intelligence.  And was derided by many both here and in Greece. AB Elpidophoros is trying something impossible: to balance on three boats (American, Greek, Turkish). In my opinion, he has NO CHANCE at all… He is doomed to fail.  The only question is how fast…

There is no doubt at all that the recent trip of AB Elpidophoros has a clear geopolitical goal – to support the interests of the State Dept. in Africa.  I remind you that about fifteen months ago, Karloutsos also visited Alexandria (we hypothesized then that he was carrying a suitcase full of cash – this is how this game is being played…).  And a few months later, Patriarch Theodoros visited the U.S. and was honored in many ways.

The underlying element in all these back-and-forth visits was the support to the Alexandria (and All Africa) Patriarchate, at a time when the Moscow Patriarchate has founded an Exarchate in Egypt and attracted many priests from African countries to their side (we also now know that Russia was and is willing to provide grain to African countries for free…).  Nothing of the above would have happened had the American “deep state” stayed out of Ukraine and not used religion as a geopolitical tool in a very provocative manner.  But they did.

But why did they expect that the Russians would not take countermeasures? Because my friends, they are not intellectually equipped to handle complicated diplomatic matters professionally. Instead, they prefer to play a crude power game, where everybody in the world is subjected to their (projected) power. Unfortunately for them, this was the wrong way to handle things in Ukraine and everywhere else… And they failed… The result is that they are running after the fact to fix the problems they created. And this is precisely what is happening in Africa. The Russian Patriarchate, as far as I know, had no presence in Africa. Now they do; they are there to stay and expand. Good luck dealing with them…

But what exactly is Elpidophoros trying to achieve with his visit?  Obviously, he has his own plan in mind. It seems that he never quit his goal to be elected Patriarch of Constantinople, despite the strong opposition from many sides.  His visit to the Intelligence University in DC a few weeks ago explains much of his tactics: He wants to show the centers of power in America, to the so-called “Deep State”, that he is “their man”.  He wants to show that he is the one to replace Karloutsos (who has disappeared from the public eye recently – but is very active behind the scenes, concocting schemes against Elpidophoros).

What does it mean that “Elpidophoros is their man”?  It means that if he is elected Patriarch, he will act as any good intelligence “operative”; he will use all his powers all over the globe to advance the Deep State’s interests… And the trip to the Patriarchate of Alexandria displays exactly his “skills and abilities” as an “operative”… The “Deep State’s” explicit goal is to divide World Orthodoxy and isolate Russian Orthodoxy as much as possible.  So far, they have failed, but they will never quit. Elpidophoros tries to take advantage of this need of the American centers of power to ascend to the Patriarchal Throne…

At the same time, he is cultivating even closer ties with the Turkish establishment, and just two weeks ago, he took part in the “iftar dinner” at the Turkish House in NYC.  Just days after that, he did everything possible to identify himself with the highest national symbol of Greece, the Presidential Guard, the Evzones, who were visiting New York for the Greek Parade…

Think about it: in less than a month, AB Elpidophoros jumped from the Intelligence University in DC to the Iftar dinner in NYC, to the embrace of the Evzones at the Greek Parade, and back to acting as an intelligence operative on his trip to Alexandria… Meanwhile, the parishes under his direct jurisdiction are on the brink of collapse.  In Astoria, Fr. Villis, the regional chancellor, is acting to fix 45 years of corruption by the Andriotis-Papamichael mafia and wants to bring people back to the empty pews – but he fails to mention Christ and Faith.  In Greenlawn, George Demacopoulos, who is acting as the “theorist” of Elpidophoros, tried to start an LGBTQ ministry, causing a massive uproar by the faithful…

The only way for Elpidophoros to succeed would be to change course entirely and return to the Orthodox Faith basics.  This is what the people want… This is why they are running to the monasteries… This is why they move to the Antiochian Church and ROCOR…  But Elpidophoros has proved that he is unable to make such a turn: he is too worldly, too political, too materialistic… And so, as he impossibly balances without any visible sign of Christ and Faith from the first boat to the second and the third, he will eventually drown…

Επίσκεψη του Αρχιεπισκόπου Αμερικής στον Πατριάρχη Αλεξανδρείας

Ο Μακαριώτατος Πάπας και Πατριάρχης Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής κ.κ. Θεόδωρος Β΄υποδέχθηκε το Σάββατο 6 Μαΐου 2023, στην Πατριαρχική Καθέδρα Αλεξανδρείας τον Σεβασμιώτατο Αρχιεπίσκοπο Αμερικής κ. Ελπιδοφόρο, επικεφαλής πολυμελούς ομάδος Ελλήνων προσκυνητών από τις Η.Π.Α.

Όπως πρώτο είχε αναφέρει το ope.gr, μετά την παρέλαση για την Εθνική Επέτειο που πραγματοποιήθηκε στην 5^η Λεωφόρο της Νέας Υόρκης, o Αρχιεπίσκοπος Αμερικής ταξίδεψε στην Αίγυπτο κομίζοντας μήνυμα του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχη κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίου και των Ελληνοαμερικανών ότι στηρίζουν με κάθε μέσο το Δευτερόθρονο Πατριαρχείο.

Προσφωνών τον Σεβασμιώτατο ο Μακαριώτατος μίλησε περί της ιστορίας της Αλεξανδρινής Εκκλησίας, περί της σύγχρονης αγλαοκάρπου παρουσίας της στην Αφρικανική ήπειρο, καθώς και περί των αρίστων σχέσεων μεταξύ των Πρεσβυγενών Πατριαρχείων Κωνσταντινουπόλεως και Αλεξανδρείας. Επίσης, υπογράμμισε τις αγαστές σχέσεις μεταξύ Αιγύπτου και Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, εξαίρων την αμέριστη συμπαράσταση του Προέδρου της Αραβικής Δημοκρατίας της Αιγύπτου κ. Άμπντελ Φατάχ Αλ Σίσι προς τον Πατριαρχικό Θρόνο του Αγίου Μάρκου. Ακόμη, ανεφέρθη στο πρόσφατο ταξίδι του στις ΗΠΑ και την συνάντησή του με τον Πρόεδρο κ. Joe Biden. Κατακλείων, επαίνεσε το πολυμερές έργο του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αμερικής, προς τον οποίο εξέφρασε ευγνώμονες ευχαριστίες για την έμπρακτη στήριξή του προς το εν γένει ιεραποστολικό και ανθρωπιστικό έργο του Δευτεροθρόνου Πατριαρχείου.

Κατά την αντιφώνησή του ο Σεβασμιώτατος κ. Ελπιδοφόρος εξεδήλωσε την συγκίνηση την οποία αισθάνεται ευρισκόμενος στην Καθέδρα της Παλαιφάτου Εκκλησίας του Αγίου Μάρκου, με την πολύτιμη Αποστολική παρακαταθήκη και δισχιλιετή ιστορία Της, ενώ ετόνισε την σπουδαιότητα του ιεραποστολικού έργου, καθώς και των ακλονήτων ιστορικών δεσμών των Πατριαρχικών Θρόνων Κωνσταντινουπόλεως και Αλεξανδρείας.

Ακολούθησε ανταλλαγή αναμνηστικών δώρων και περιήγηση στους χώρους του Πατριαρχικού Μεγάρου. Τέλος, ο Σεβασμιώτατος και οι κληρικοί συνοδοί του παρεκάθησαν στην Πατριαρχική τράπεζα.

Κατά την επίσκεψη του Σεβασμιωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αμερικής κ. Ελπιδοφόρου παρέστησαν οι Σεβασμιώτατοι Μητροπολίτες Γουϊνέας κ. Γεώργιος, Εκπρόσωπος του Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας στην Αθήνα, Ναυκράτιδος κ. Παντελεήμων, Αρχιγραμματεύς της Αγίας και Ιεράς Συνόδου του Δευτεροθρόνου Πατριαρχείου και Πηλουσίου κ. Νάρκισσος, Πατριαρχικός Επίτροπος Αλεξανδρείας.
