EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis): If you thought you have seen everything you are wrong… We are outraged at George Demacopoulos trying to introduce a LGBTQ+ ministry at the peaceful and conservative Greenlawn parish, while the liberals at NYC have crossed all possible lines. Please take a look at our main photo – it is part of the exhibit. What’s the purpose of all this? Saya an announcement: ‘God is Trans maps the queer spiritual journey by three significant points: Sacrifice, Identity and Communion,’ the piece begins. In sacrifice, parishioners are asked to ‘shed an old life and personhood in order to be able to focus on your spiritual need. There is no devil, just past selves.’
Is this the Catholic Church our “leadership” plans to unite with, in 2025? P-lease… Again, this is the time to put our feet down and fight – our Orthodox faith needs to stay glued to our traditions – end of the story. If you want any innovation – please leave Orthodoxy, and close the door behind you…

They’re trying to force the agenda on others’: Ultra liberal Manhattan church that holds gay-friendly mass every Sunday is slammed for hosting ‘God is Trans’ exhibit
- ‘God is Trans: A Queer Spiritual Journey’ is hosted at Church of St. Paul the Apostle
- The church is known for progressive beliefs including a ‘gay-friendly’ mass
- Some parishioners thought the gender-based display was inappropriate
A notoriously liberal Catholic church in Manhattan is dividing parishioners with a ‘God is Trans’ art exhibit, leaving one member of the faithful to suggest they were having an agenda forced on them.
The Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan is promoting a display called ‘God is Trans: A Queer Spiritual Journey.’
The church is noted for its embrace of the LGBTQ+ community and has promoted a ‘gay-friendly’ 5 p.m. mass on Sunday in the past, according to the New York Times.
Some who regularly go to the church told the New York Post that including gender ideology in an exhibit was a step too far.
‘The church should not be promoting this,’ said one parishioner. ‘I understand there are transgender people. I pray for all people but enough is enough.’

The churchgoer added that a priest refused to provide an explanation to someone questioning the display.
‘It seems like they are trying to force the agenda on others,’ they said. ‘You can’t put this out on the altar and then hide. That’s what gets the church in trouble.’
Artist Adah Unachukwu created the exhibit which attempts to show how faith and gender identity intersect.
‘God is Trans maps the queer spiritual journey by three significant points: Sacrifice, Identity and Communion,’ the piece begins.
In sacrifice, parishioners are asked to ‘shed an old life and personhood in order to be able to focus on your spiritual need. There is no devil, just past selves.’
‘Identity is the most impactful part of the exhibition,’ the display states. ‘What does holiness look like? What does your god look like? Are those two portrayals that can be merged?’
It ends with Communion which ’rounds out the spiritual journey, by placing God and the mortal on the same plane to speak to one another. This part of the installation is about a spiritual home and the ways we can achieve this home in our everyday lives.’
The paintings are somewhat abstract but appear to show off where the personal meet the spiritual, as people young and old are portrayed as meshing with traditional holy imagery.

The Roman Catholic Church opposes gender ideology but leaves room for each parish to have its own opinion of the transgender community.
The parish has, in the past, clashed with Cardinal Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York when go against Vatican teachings on the LGBTQ+ community.
The Archdiocese of New York and Unachukwu have not responded to requests for comment.
While one churchgoer was against the display, Cherri Ghosh, 80, had a completely different view of the exhibit.
‘I don’t understand the art, but this church is very liberal, which is why I love this church,’ she told the Post. ‘They are really in the present when others are not.’
Anyone who attends that church is an idiot and sees it as extension of CNN their true religion. Next!
I feel sick, I think I’m going to throw up. This is just too much! Is it to make more money and attract the trans community or is it to chase all the straight people out of the church and destroy the church?
The comment of the 80 year old quoted is apt but maybe not in way she thought. She says this parish is living in the present ,while many trapped in the past. That can be applied to orthodox parishes too.
How ever they are equally trapped beaue none of them are living in eternity or looking to it.
Just two dead political and cultural views. One conservative, and one liberal but neither Christ centered.
Krikers!
‘What does holiness look like? What does your god look like? Are those two portrayals that can be merged?’
Anyone who wants to know what holiness “looks” like should read the life of Saint Porphyrios and in particular, and in particular, the small book “Healing the Soul: Saint Porphyrios of Kafsokalyvia as a Model for Our Lives.” THAT is what holiness looks like. Holiness is a way of Life, an condition of the soul and it has nothing to do with gender because both men and women can become holy.
What does God look like? Nothing that any one of us can conjure up or imagine with our 3 pound brains and our fallen natures. God told Moses he could not be allowed to see Him because he would die – such is the majesty of God, which human eyes cannot behold and live.
This display is a pathetic attempt to build just another towel or Babel, but with art, to try and understand God on OUR terms, using OUR imangination and OUR creativity. The artist completely ignores the fact that Christianity, true Christianity, i.e. Orthodox Christianity is NOT a man made religion using OUR understanding/imagination/creativity. It is from start to finish, a REVELATION FROM GOD. God told us all that we know about Him. How dare any of us reject that and then try to fill the void with something else?
That something else will end up being, as it has ended up being, the machinations of the devil, who always fills the spiritual void when God’s Truth is ejected. This results in confusion, and delusion, which is the result of our apostasy. For those of us who have fallen into the trap, God offers repentance and forgiveness, but if we refuse to do that, then we end up getting what we deserve. We do it to ourselves because of our arrogance – we think we are smarter than God.
All churches that are 5013c non profit status must adhere to the new Marxist government woke culture or else. We see more pastors bowing down to woke ideology everyday.
When our churches are lost, society will become lost as well.
