Το πάρτι έγινε με την άδεια του δήμου μέσα στον ναό του Αγίου Βουκόλου – Έντονη η αντίδραση της κοινότητας της Σμύρνης
Το πάρτι, που έγινε χθες, προκάλεσε έντονες αντιδράσεις στην κοινότητα της Σμύρνης.
Ο συγκεκριμένος ναός, όπως μετέδωσε και ο ΣΚΑΪ, έχει ιστορική αξία, ενώ η ιδιοκτησία του ανήκει στον δήμο. Επικρίσεις υπάρχουν και από τα τουρκικά φιλοκυβερνητικά ΜΜΕ, καθώς ο δήμος Σμύρνης ανήκει στην αντιπολίτευση του Ρεπουμπλικανικού Λαϊκού Κόμματος.
Πολλές φορές έχει παραχωρηθεί στην Μητρόπολη Σμύρνης για λειτουργίες ενώ μέσα στην εκκλησία έχουν γίνει πολλές σοβαρές εκθέσεις, σε αντίθεση με τη χθεσινή βραδιά, που ο ιστορικός ναός μετατράπηκε σε χώρο διασκέδασης.

The Holy Bible states that we should study and search the scriptures for the Truth. The Truth is Jesus. The closer we get to the Truth, the better off we will be! The Truth is light, is love is courage, beyond human understanding.
Where is Bartholomew? Why is he quiet? Surely a holy man would not keep quiet. Why must we refer to him as “his holiness” –is it just words with no substance?
I would like to herein open my Post to blog a recent observation, with the hopes that someone on this blog saw the same thing I saw in a recent “Movie Trailor” for the latest big, fat greek wedding installment.
In the very beginning of the trailor, one sees the family all gathered around announcing they are going to Greece to celebrate the memory of the family patriarch gus porto…..anyway- I looked at the setting and noticed on their fireplace mantel, an urn with his name in greek writing… sure looked just like the urns families place their deceased ones’ ashes in…
that said, this goes against our grain and though, the movie seems to be hilarious- and maybe I’ll catch it on t.v. one day; it looks like the powers that be are leading us to accept you know what– though it’s just a glimpse and not discussed – it’s an urn with a label! Also, let me add that I personally do not know any greek families that depict this one—
Bottom line– Where DOES the church stand on cremation?
