EDITOR’S NOTE: Whether he is testing the people’s reactions or not, PM Mitsotakis’s statements in his recent interview with skai.gr raised a few eyebrows in Greece and internationally. The Mitsotakis mafia family has been known to play the agents for great powers, mainly the American establishment and the Germans. These powers are pushing to keep Turkey in the Western camp and, in order to achieve this goal they are putting excessive pressure on Greece to give up its rights…
Greece is the only country globally that has not exercised its rights for a 12-mile territorial water zone!! And is now ready to “discuss” her EEZ rights with Turkey possibly in the International Court of the Hague! But the Hague is a politically controlled Court, while the Special Court for Sea Zones is the one in Hamburg Germany…
Beyond all this, how can Mitsotakis proceed to any talks with Turkey, without first demanding the Turks to drop the “casus belli” demands (the threat of war in case Greece exercises its rights recognized by international law)? And how ANY negotiation will take place without first discussing the withdrawal of the Turkish troops in the north of Cyprus?

The Prime Minister announced “resignations” in Greek-Turkish relations!
A related concept is the reduction of ethnic sovereignty – Greece will abandon “some of its positions” in view of the negotiation
By Manolis Kottakis – estianews.com
A STRONG shock to the Government, the Parliamentary Group and the electoral base of the New Democracy was caused last night by the Prime Minister with his interview on “Sky”, revealing the secret plan to refer the Greek-Turkish disputes to The Hague while simultaneously withdrawing from key national positions!! The statements of Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis confirm the plan that “Estia” had revealed before the election. He emphasized that the aim is to bring the country to the core of the Greek-Turkish disputes and he almost admitted that he discussed with Tayyip Erdogan the issue of the appeal to The Hague and the bold agenda he has drawn up, which essentially constitutes a retreat from the country’s basic positions.
When the Prime Minister said that it was in Greece’s interest to resolve in a fair way the big dispute with Turkey, the maritime zones, he was asked if this “includes a loss of sovereignty, as we know it today.” The answer surprised everyone and troubled all the Greeks: “This is a relative concept, but I have to tell you that any agreement of this type could potentially, yes, also entail some concessions from some positions, which could be the starting point of a negotiation. But the question is: Will we remain with this difference unresolved, if history offers us an opportunity to resolve it? Be careful, we will solve it with terms, which will obviously be compatible with the defense of national interests. And because we are still far from this scenario – because it is not a decision that I obviously take alone – if we ever reach this point, the Parliament and the parties would have a major role to play”.
What is important, according to Mr. Mitsotakis, is to resolve the “core of the dispute” which is the delimitation of the maritime zones. “My goal is to get to the heart of our main dispute, if we manage to agree to go to The Hague, so that the International Court of Justice can take up this great pending situation that has been going on for many decades. It is not a simple matter. In any case, even if we do not manage to achieve this, the preservation of the good climate between the two countries, to have no violations, to allow us to build on the positive agenda, is also an important achievement. There is a bold agenda with Turkey that I am willing to explore,” he revealed at another point in the interview.
He did not confirm, nor did he deny that he had discussed the burning issue of The Hague with the Turkish President, saying that “the discussion is still premature”, because the framework of the political dialogue on the basis of which the Government can move to discuss these Greek-Turkish matters is still being investigated. He stated that he is ready to make a new beginning, obviously with concessions, because otherwise, he cannot build a relationship of trust with the neighboring country. “In order to build a relationship of trust, we must accept that we want to make a new beginning because if we are permanently captive to what was done some years ago, we will always look at the other with suspicion,” he said characteristically.
He expressed his assessment, after the meeting with Erdoğan in Vilnius, that Turkey seems ready for a shift in its foreign policy, not only in what it has to do with Greece, but in general and with the West. He also believes that Greece “can only benefit from such a turn by Turkey.” When asked if he trusts the Turkish President, he replied that he achieved a great electoral victory, a fact that “liberates” him from using ethnic issues for internal consumption. “I perceived a different atmosphere compared to the previous meetings. I can go as far as that. On the other hand, I stress that this must be consistent and continuous. We can discuss and build, I would say, a two-way relationship where one will respond to the other’s positive actions.”
Commenting on the expected F-16 sale to Turkey, he said that in his speech to Congress he had said that the US should take into account stability in the Eastern Mediterranean. He also noted that the position of the Congress has not changed that any sale of equipment to Turkey cannot and should not be used against any other country, an ally of the United States. “Now, what will ultimately be reflected in the negotiations between Congress and the Government and Turkey, I am not in a position to know, but I see no reason why this attitude will change. Because at this moment this is also the main concern of the USA: that there be security and calm in the Eastern Mediterranean and that American equipment is not used at the expense of an ally.”
He revealed that the US will give us significant surplus military equipment, in addition to F-35 fighters, which will be made available to us free of charge. “It is something that the United States is doing and they have every reason to do it on a larger scale for a very good ally like Greece” he continued.
Smiling, he revealed that he raised with Tayyip Erdoğan the issue of Turkish intervention in the Rhodopes during the pre-election period, without going into details on this issue either. He confirmed that the Greek Muslims will have, in practice and not in words, equal opportunities with their Christian fellow citizens in the Rhodopes and Xanthi.

Please define the new term I’m hearing here for the first time; “greek muslim?”
Muslim populations that were excluded in the general “population exchange” that occurred between 1922 and 1924…Just like Bartholomew is a turkish citizen, there are some muslims within Greek borders, most of which are in Thrace. The only difference between 1924 and now is that the original 200,000 Greeks in Constantinople don’t exist after the 1955 “pogrom”, in which Greece didn’t retaliate to remove the muslim populations in return, so the proportions are not according to the agreement. Furthermore, based on those original population exchange treaties from the 1920’s, it was not allowed for the Turks to “send over” muslims, and yet, Greek governments the last 20 years have stopped short of citing those treaties as millions of muslim migrants crossed the greco-turkish sea/land borders… in theory, the treaties are still in force, but they are not being “enforced” by treasonous politicians.
No wonder Mitsotakis and Bidenopoulos get along so well. Neither is willing to stand up for the sovereignty / borders of the nation that they lead. Traitors and weasels, the whole lot of them. Pray from Metropolitan Onuphry and the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Let’s open discussions regarding the out-of-control fires, in the midst of the greatest tourist season seen in many years… CNN reporting bad conditions at Acropolis, seaside resorts outside of Athens up to Corinth Canal, Larissa, etc… What’s next? Locusts?
Fires dominate the news, which presents a “great” opportunity for “difficult decisions” to be made.
Without wildfires as a convenient diversion, the media over the past 20 years would otherwise unfortunately have to focus on unpopular decisions & laws that are passed in Parliament while most MPs are in summer recess, or in this case, discussions that are being made to “share” the Aegean with the turks…Look at the correlation between legislation passed during those wildfires, and you’ll see the patterns emerging…
Just yesterday morning MPs of the ruling party were on live TV panels in Greece stating the following: “…the turks are entitled to about 7.5% of the Aegean according to international law…they are asking for 30%, but if it were to ensure ‘peace and tranquillity with our neighbors’, it wouldn’t be harmful to ‘settle” at 8, or 10, or even 15%…”
Disgusting, right? …Guess what folks…the fires started, and the TV panels are replaced by live feeds of people’s property burning, but the discussions with the turks are certainly happening right now, at this very hour, even if the media isn’t paying attention…
As a side note:
It’s also interesting how in the last 20 years or so, Wind Farms tend to grow like mushrooms in the burned areas faster than any other indigenous plants…
Some elite land developers also seem to get “great deals” after big fires, too…Road projects normally cost less than originally budgeted too, because the land is “already cleared” by the fire, even though the contractors still invoice the government for “clearing” the land, anyway…
Everyone seems to gain except the poor people whose livelihoods are burned to the ground…
You get what you vote for in a republic.
