The Archbishop has a new nickname: “Elikopterophoros”… The faithful keep avoiding Elpidophoros with passion…
By Nick Stamatakis
Faced with total rejection both in America and Greece, AB Elpidophoros went on a 5-day trip to Panama – a country which is under the jurisdiction of AB Athenagoras of Mexico (who was not even invited to be there as far as we noticed… Was he asked for permission?) While in Panama, Elpidophoros practiced his “Abrahamic” pan-religion, mixing with Jews and Catholics (thank God there are not many Muslims in Panama; he would be sure to visit their Mosque). As we have said, many rumors have circulated lately that Elpidophoros is best suited as a “preacher” at the Abrahamic House in Abu Dhabi… Hopefully, he will start heading there soon and leave us alone…
In the meantime, there is a new nickname for him in Greece, “Elikopterophoros” (The one with the helicopter”)… He officiated the Greek-Panamanian couple’s wedding in Poros, Greece, in late July – link here). The groom is the consul of Greece in Panama, and he is the one who invited him for the current 5-day trip… When he arrived in Greece in late July for the wedding of the highly wealthy couple, the archbishop had the gall to ask the government of Greece to provide a helicopter to fly him 40 miles away to Poros. The Greek government denied his request, and then Elpidophoros passed on a private helicopter service – paid by the couple or a donor. This made a terrible impression – thus the nickname “Elikopterophoros,” as we learned from several friends in Greece…
At the same time, we learned – and have already reported – from several sources that he was denied access to Mount Athos, where the monks get upset at mentioning his name. He and Patriarch Bartholomew were rejected by 18 out of the 20 monasteries. It is noted that 70% of the monks in Athos live in cells and sketes; among those monks, the rejection of the heretics Bartholomew and Elpidophorow is 100%!!! Elpidophoros was specifically denied access to Athos this summer!
In America, the situation is even worse. The faithful avoid any church where Elpidophoros is scheduled to appear! The latest example was the “trisagion” in memory of Nikos Andriotis, “the prime minister” of Astoria. It was done last Wednesday morning, the day before the archbishop flew to Panama. The photo below from the National Herald says it all, both for Elpidophoros and Andriotis: only about 25-30 people attended! In other times, the presence of the Archbishop alone for ANY reason would attract scores of faithful from the wider neighborhood. Not now!!!
Andriotis close relatives – and we are reading from the death notice – were more than 20… The abandonment is complete…
Meanwhile, the Archdiocese has taken over the leadership of the Saint Demetrios of Astoria School, and this is terrible news. Enrollment has fallen another 20% to around 410 students. At the same time, the School’s leadership is taken over by Fr. Gregory Stamkopoulos, whose background has nothing to do with educational administration – he is an IT specialist. But to that issue, we will return soon with a more complete analysis.
PS. One of the two excellent students, who in 2019 were denied re-enrollment by the “mafioso” Andriotis and the failed principal Koularmanis at St. Demetrios School, is now enrolled at an Ivy League School!! This is the measure of the failure of the Andriotis leadership and of those who supported him!!

Resistance and rejection are the only answers for those who intend to fight the enemy.
Can you explain how to resist? Even at the enthronement of the new gay metropolitan of New Jersey, that it is on Saturday September 16th, they put ticket! So, in that way they will avoid any protesters that would dare to yell “not worthy”! The only way to resist is not giving them your money! That’s the only thing that hurts them…
He is rejected from the faithful and he was
accepted by all the unfaithful , the NWO,
the Pope , the archons , some rich and not
famous and etc …….
Elpidoforos doesn’t care if where he goes the churches are empty. Like Mitsotakis doesn’t care about his popularity. They have a mission to complete and that is the total destruction of Greece and Orthodoxy. And if you noticed, he is trying now to fill the churches with «μεταγραφές» from other churches and other nations!
They know very well that the Greeks will never accept the “reforms” they want to do, so now they bring to the “Greek Orthodox Church” people from other nations and other churches. Slowly they will remove the Greek words from the liturgy and finally the name “Greek”…
No church and no bishop can survive without followers… who are the others they are bringing in? The churches are empty…
He appointed a bunch of priests that are not even Greeks! And these priests have their followers from their ethnicity… For example, you haven’t noticed the fake “Βορειοηπειρώτες» that are actually Albanians?
You must be kidding… you are talking about a very few people… they cannot even fill one little church…
Using the three holy Hierarchy to promote Hellenism is another form of superiority complex gone wrong. Yes, the Holy fathers spoke Greek, as it was the language of their day. But, tying this in with the Church, in America or in any other country other than Greece is nonsense. In this same vein, Hellenism is no different than Zionism! Jews have a superiority complex and Greeks do too with tying the Holy Fathers into this. They were Orthodox Christians first and foremost, and their language happen to be Greek. If Greek language is the most important element to the Orthodox Church, then why didn’t Cyril and Methodios just make those pagans learn Greek instead of creating a new alphabet?
It heard them because they understand that they are not safe anymore , besides the humiliation.
They shouldn’t care about Greekism, and should only care about Christ! Holy scripture tells us that neither Jew nor Greek matters. If Greek ism is your argument, then you’re no better than the leaders your argue about!
I do not know what do you mean by “Greekism”, but if you mean not allowing the teaching of Ancient Greek Mythology in our schools “because it is pagan” (as GOARCH has tried to do) then I have to disagree. We Greeks have a very long cultural tradition – much longer than Christianity. Following this trap we would soon expunge Odysseus from among us… Because, thousands of years later we are still the sons of Odysseus in every respect. Not to mention that when you go to Church in Greece you are faced with older people, even uneducated ones, that understand to a certain degree the biblical language. Which of course pre-existed Christianity. Finally, the classical philosophy and stoicism, many have argued, laid the ground for Alexandrian Hellenic cosmopolitanism and the arrival of Christianity. Let’s be careful when addressing these issues…
Cultural Greekisms will and don’t mean a hill of beans in regards to the Church, and this isn’t Greece. We are in America, and its high time Greeks stop worshiping at the alter of their cultural gifts and realize that in America….American culture should be top priority. Not Greekisms! I bet all these Greeks doing business in America don’t insist that their customer bases learn Greek before doing business with them! But when it it comes to Church….let’s keep our culture? That is dumb!
When it comes to culture and tradition Hellenism is at an order of its own. First, “America” as we all know it would not amount to a hill of beans without the Hellenic ideas about democracy – which by the way were extensively discussed by the Founders, before they established the American Constitution. Take a stroll in DC and look around you. What do you see? Imitations of ancient Greek architecture and sculpture. America is a naval power. But the first naval powers in the world were the Greek cities and classical Athens. Along with this trait come the “free economy” and capitalism foundations. So please, educate yourself first and then start presenting arguments that you do not fully understand. Also, there is nothing more essential in life than for the next generations, our children and grandchildren, to have a good conscience of their roots.
But above all, Hellenism, with its peaceful cosmopolitanism in the times of Alexander the Great and his successors, offered a wonderful example of peaceful coexistence and helped give birth to Christianity. Take a look around you – in the BRICS and G20 meeting recently: American imperialism has failed miserably. This peaceful Hellenic cosmopolitanism has to replace aggressive, exploitative and hegemonic British and American globalism.
My Post really is irrelevant to the above; however, I am so infuriated, sad an angry as I write this on 9/11, after hearing my dear friend’s name read aloud on national television, that, I need to vent. Here goes, the “mayor” of (the once greatest city in the world) is standing there wearing what appears on my screen to be a pinkish necktie. The first bell rang out, a moment of silence ensued, everyone had their eyes either down/closed for this moment, and he was the sole entity of disrespect! After I heard my beloved friend’s name, I could not stand to see this lack of utter disrespect!
And on the day of Judgement….try that pride in Hellenistic stuff. See how important it isn’t!
On the day of Judgement, American exploitative and imperialistic attitudes, like the ones of the woke globalists around us, will get you straight to hell…
True, and the judgemental Greeks who place themselves as judge over everyone will be right beside them saying ” Lord, Lord”, and he’ll tell you He never knew you either!!!
You are confusing righteousness with being judgmental… You need to drink more koolaid to dissolve the confusion…
By the way, I’m no fan of wokism, globalism, left wing anything, and I really don’t care for the leadership you all rail against. But, the judgementalness of Greeks who spout this Hellenistic ad nauseam in the Church is part of the problem! The very idea of this superior Hellenisms is what brings these charlatans you rail against to the dance! They care about world ego! What good is an Orthodox faith if you show anyone interested in it, that fist you must bow to Hellenistic and take Greek language lessons to take part in liturgy? I know that the Xeno are only good for buying your souvlaki dinners at festivals, but against…..the Hellenistic speak is dumb!
I suggest that you read again why we celebrate in Orthodoxy the Three Hierarchs on the Day of Greek Letters, January 30… They have the proper answer for you.
If Greek language is the most important element to the Orthodox Church, then why didn’t Cyril and Methodios just make those pagans learn Greek instead of creating a new alphabet?
The answer to your last question about Cyril and Methodios illuminates all else and especially why Hellenism is NOT Judaism. We Hellenes “invented” the cosmopolitanism upon which Christianity was founded. We never felt the need to impose ourselves to others or to present ourselves as the chosen people. Instead we accepted all others as (trade or life) partners and gave to them as much as we received from them. Jews emigrate with their families; Greeks, like Odysseus, by themselves and become one with all the people they meet. If you do not understand this basic essence of peaceful Hellenic cosmopolitanism then what can I say? Maybe I should start charging for a few basic lessons… ha..ha..
Believe it or not I attend Greek churches and am married to a Greek woman. I do appreciate what Greeks are and offer. I just think the Hellenism get too deep. This nonsense I hear that it must be Greek, or the Church is lost is crazy to me. And I agree on the sentiments of being angry and disappointed at our bishops in America.
I think my tone has been wrong, and for that I apologize, but the heaviness of Hellenism and the Greekism are just more ism that lose me!
No need to apologize… Many overdo it – but most are just too proud of being part of this ethnic background. “Greeks are those who share our culture” our ancient forefathers used to say. A famous saying by an Athenian classical orator, the first departure from genetic affinity. And this was the first step in cosmopolitanism…
