EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis).  This is a very revealing 1-minute video.  Israeli PM Netanyahu explains very vividly how the Jewish people suffered through history by all invaders, especially the Arabs.  Netanyahu falls into the same trap as everyone else in the Middle East: They use their version of “history” (usually totally fabricated) to explain their present situation and answer the question why they now hate their neighbors.  Netanyahu is misrepresenting the facts: It was the Romans – AND NOT THE ARABS – that destroyed about 1,000 towns and villages and forced the remaining Jews to go into exile.

Netanyahu deserves to be treated with the same token: Archaeological and DNA research has recently revealed that the likely first inhabitants of Palestine were the Minoans from Crete. They were known sea people, great navigators that knew no limits.  And they were metal traders, meaning they were superior warriors with solid armaments.  How would he like it to be told that the land now called Israel belonged to the Minoans (Greeks) 5,000 years ago?

Do you have any reliable sources?

    Thank you

    • I have a very strong background in Archaeology, anthropology and history and I remember over the years several pieces of news pointing to the Minoans colonising Palestine. They were known to have had very close relationship with the ancient Egyptians and they are referred to in hieroglyphics as the “sea people” if I recall.
I have an even stronger background in DNA studies and population biology. I was so lucky to have met one of the founders of this discipline Prof. Emeritus Robert Sokal at my early years in America – at Stony Brook before 1989. I think I noticed references of DNA studies in Israel suggesting the above. I will need sometime for a complete research but I think we are on the right path.
