The faithful took to the streets in the metropolis of Peristeri in Athens to protest the taking down of the Jesus On the Cross (Estavromenos) in the local cathedral but mainly to protest the ecumenist, heretic Patriarch Bartholomew who visited Athens the last few days. It was a loud and dynamic protest… Probably the first of its kind as far as I know… “We want an ecumenical Patriarch and not a pro-papal Patriarch”! “Not to Easter with Heretics”!! But it seems that it will be the beginning for more to come… Everything is collapsing around Bartholomew, from Ukraine, to his LGBTQ promotion to his “pseudo-green” agenda… It looks like Trump’s historic triumph has more global effects than anyone could imagine!! It freed the voice of the people to go out and express their feelings!! Not so for the so-called “journalists” though. Except “Orthodoxos Typos” all other websites suppressed the demonstration news!! How pathetic!!

History is being written in Peristeri: “We want an ecumenical Patriarch and not a pro-papal Patriarch”!
Do not be afraid, little flock. Today, history was written in Peristeri. With a pulse. With strength. With truth.
Our brothers gathered outside the Episcopal Palace of the Holy Metropolis around 4:00 PM. Approximately half of the three hundred of Leonidas were there in the bitter cold and had the wishes of all of us who covered the entire Metropolis. The atmosphere was beautiful because the purpose was holy.
The brothers sang the Hypermacho, Save Lord, Your people, Who were lifted up on the Cross voluntarily. Behold the Resurrection of Christ. From time to time, clarifications were heard that they were not fundamentalists, fanatics, extremists (as the Metropolitan slanders them), nor did they belong to any schismatic group. “We are faithful children of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church,” they shouted.
From time to time, questions were also openly posed to the priests:
“Venerable fathers, do you accept the blasphemous and heretical teaching that the Crucified One dethrones and displaces the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity?? The Crucified One occupies a position that does not belong to Him?? To whom does this position belong, Fathers??? Put the Crucified One back again!!”
“Venerable fathers, how did you accept such a blasphemous practice?? The Seventh Ecumenical Council expressly forbids the removal of any icon, type of the Holy Cross, holy relic of a martyr under penalty of demotion and excommunication. Correct the error so that you do not perish!” …
“Know that the teaching of Metropolitan Peristeri has been denounced as HERETIC by His Eminence Metropolitan of Kythera!! Do you accept it?? Put the Crucified One back again”.
“Axios!!!” “Axios!!!” “Axios!!!” the people shouted for His Eminence Seraphim of Kythera and Antikythera.
Along with “Put the Crucified One back again”, the slogan was also heard: “Shame on the priests who took out the Cross and now welcome ecumenism”.

Some priests shook their heads up and down contemptuously at what they heard, while others bowed their heads.
Let us not forget to mention that outside the Episcopal Palace there was also a nice police cage!
As soon as the Patriarch arrived at the Episcopal Palace, the slogans focused on “No to Easter with heretics” and “We want an ecumenical Patriarch and not a pro-papal Patriarch.”
Within half an hour, the Patriarch left the Episcopal Palace and went to the Citizens’ Theater. The gathering ended with the song “Ti Hypermacho.” Thanks were expressed to the people who came and to the police officers who were kind and everyone returned to their homes in peace.

«Πατριάρχη θέλουμε οικουμενικό και όχι Πατριάρχη φιλο-παπικό»!
Μη φοβού το μικρό ποίμνιο. Σήμερα στο Περιστέρι γράφτηκε ιστορία. Με παλμό. Με δύναμη. Με αλήθεια.
Οι αδελφοί μας συγκεντρώθηκαν έξω από το Επισκοπείο της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως γύρω στις 16:00 το απόγευμα. Περίπου οι μισοί από τους τριακόσιους του Λεωνίδα βρέθηκαν εκεί στο τσουχτερό κρύο και είχαν τις ευχές όλων μας που σκέπασαν ολόκληρη την Μητρόπολη. Η ατμόσφαιρα ήτανε ωραία διότι ο σκοπός ήτανε άγιος.
Οι αδελφοί έψαλαν Τη Υπερμάχω, Σώσον Κύριε τον λαόν Σου, Ο υψωθείς εν τω Σταυρώ εκουσίως. Ανάστασιν Χριστού θεασάμενοι. Κατά διαστήματα ακούγονταν διευκρινήσεις ότι δεν είναι φονταμενταλιστές, φανατικοί, εξτρεμιστές (όπως τους λοιδορεί ο Μητροπολίτης), ούτε ανήκουνε σε κάποια σχισματική ομάδα. «Είμαστε πιστά τέκνα της Μίας, Αγίας, Καθολικής και Αποστολικής Ορθοδόξου Εκκλησίας», φώναζαν.
Κατά διαστήματα επίσης τέθηκαν ερωτήματα ανοιχτά στους ιερείς:
«Σεβαστοί πατἐρες, αποδέχεστε την βλάσφημη και αιρετική διδασκαλία ότι ο Εσταυρωμένος εκθρονίζει και εκτοπίζει τα Τρία Πρόσωπα της Αγίας Τριάδος;; Ο Εσταυρωμένος καταλαμβάνει θέση που δεν Του ανήκει;; Σε ποιον ανήκει η θέση αυτή Πατέρες;;; Βάλτε πάλι πίσω τον Εσταυρωμένο!!»
«Σεβαστοί πατέρες πώς αποδεχθήκατε τέτοια βλάσφημη πρακτική;; Η Ζ’ Οικουμενική Σύνοδος απαγορεύει ρητά την αποβολή κάθε εικόνας, τύπο του τιμίου Σταυρού, ιερό λείψανο μάρτυρος επί ποινή καθαιρέσεως και αφορισμού. Διορθώστε το λάθος για να μην χαθείτε!» …
«Να γνωρίζετε ότι τη διδασκαλία του μητροπολίτη Περιστερίου έχει καταγγείλει ως ΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΗ ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Κυθήρων!! Εσείς την αποδέχεστε;; Βάλτε πάλι πίσω τον Εσταυρωμένο».
«Άξιος !!!» «Άξιος !!! » «Άξιος !!!» φώναζε ο κόσμος για τον Σεβασμιώτατο Κυθήρων και Αντικυθήρων Σεραφείμ.
Μαζί με το «Βάλτε πάλι πίσω τον Εσταυρωμένο», ακούστηκε και το σύνθημα : «Ντροπή στους ιερείς που βγάλαν τον Σταυρό και τώρα υποδέχονται τον οικουμενισμό».
Κάποιοι ιερείς κουνούσαν την κεφαλή τους πάνω κάτω περιφρονητικά με αυτά που άκουγαν, ενώ άλλοι έσκυβαν το κεφάλι τους.
Να μην ξεχάσουμε να αναφέρουμε ότι έξω από το Επισκοπείο ήτανε και μία ωραία κλούβα της Αστυνομίας !
Μόλις έφτασε στο Επισκοπείο ο Πατριάρχης τα συνθήματα επικεντρώθηκαν στο «Όχι στο Πάσχα με τους αιρετικούς» και στο «Πατριάρχη θέλουμε οικουμενικό και όχι Πατριάρχη φιλο-παπικό».
Μέσα σε μισή ώρα ο Πατριάρχης έφυγε από το Επισκοπείο και πήγε στο Θέατρο Πολιτών. Η συγκέντρωση έληξε με το Τη Υπερμάχω. Εκφράστηκαν ευχαριστίες στον κόσμο που προσήλθε και στα παιδιά της Αστυνομίας που ήτανε ευγενικοί και όλοι επιστρέψανε στα σπίτια τους με ειρήνη.

Well done, Greeks and yes, it’s about time! I hope even more show up next time. I saw this news this morning on a different website. I am not clear why they took the Crucifix out of the Church? Did they expect no one will notice and they will get away with it? I don’t understand what the point of moving the Crucifix out of Church is. The schismatics are doing this in Ukraine, with icons and crosses and they are even burning them and throwing them in trash. People have lost their minds!

ανορθόδοξες προθέσεις στην ζωή των
Ελληνορθοδόξων κοινοτήτων , στο
περιοδικό τους FOCUS είχαν δημοσιεύσει ανυπόστατη είδηση ότι
ο Ιάκωβος επρόκειτο να τους αναγνωρίσει. Άμεση ήταν η αντίδρασή
μου , του έστειλα ένα φαξ και του
έλεγα: “ Σεβασμιώτατε τώρα που το
ένα σας πόδι είναι στον λάκο ( τάφο)
θα προβείτε σ’αυτό το ανοσιούργημα;,
η απάντησή του ήταν επίσης άμεση,
κεραυνοφόρα και λακωνική:
“ δεν πρόκειται να τους αναγνωρίσω ,
θα μείνω πιστός στην Παρακαταθήκη”
και πράγματι δεν τους αναγνώρισε
ποτέ. Προφανώς τους υποσχόντανε και
συγχρόνως τους άρμεγε …. ήταν
πραγματικός Ηγέτης.
Ετούτος εδώ δηλαδή ο Πατριάρχης,
άγεται και φέρεται από δυνάμεις εχθρικές προς την Παραδοσιακή Εκκλησία γιατί δεν έχει την οξυδέρκεια, ούτε το ανάστημα του
Ιακώβου, δεν είναι χαρισματικός
ηγέτης και ενώ το ένα του πόδι
βρίσκεται ήδη στον λάκο , δρά κατά
της παρακαταθήκης και σχεδόν διέλυσε
την Ορόδοξη Εκκλησία.
Όσο για τον Σπάρτης , “ Κρίμα το
μπόι του”
Bartholomew ought to be deposed and defrocked now before he dies. Why? Because the Orthodox world, and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the Americas in particular, need to be taught a lesson. What lesson? That flagrant heresy and warmongering manipulation will not be tolerated at the hands of hierarchs in our communion. Our grandchildren need to know that we laymen and clergymen of the lower ranks stood up against the corruption that the heresiarch Bartholomew has perpetrated against Christ’s Church. Such mild judgement now may actually work in Bartholomew’s favor before the final verdict is meted out at Great Judgement seat of Christ.

This patriarch has all the characteristics…and ideology…that contradicting with the hellenic national interest and orthodox Christianic ideas and practices…
The patriarch is not listening even after the protest. Looks like he plans to move all speed ahead towards the “unity in faith and eucharist”.

War or not, this is going too far. We had wars before and did not make dramatic changes to icons in churches and monasteries. I would not enter this kind of place.
