For one more time during the years of the Ukrainian conflict we realize that Orthodoxy is at the center of this: the West, since the very beginning with the book of Samuel Huntington (early 1990s) “Clash of Civilizations” which serves as the bible of the neocons, aimed to undermine the foundations of Russian culture and ethnicity, which is Orthodoxy, and they used Patriarch Bartholomew to achieve this goal. The Russian leadership is fully aware of this effort, and they show it every step of the way.
Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed strong reservations about the Vatican as a venue for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. In his opinion, having discussions in a predominantly Catholic setting would be inappropriate for two largely Orthodox countries, with a suggestion that even the Vatican could find such a choice embarrassing.
The comments from Lavrov came after a statement from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni that Pope Leo XIV—the soon-to-be first American-born pope—had made himself available as a mediator for peace talks. The Vatican has yet to officially declare any news regarding its possible involvement.
Although the Vatican has been utilized for centuries as a venue for the resolution of international disputes, Russia‘s stance highlights the difficulties in choosing a site that is both neutral and acceptable everywhere. Religious and political considerations appear to be at the core of Moscow‘s denial of the Vatican as a venue for peace talks.
Orthodox Identity: Lavrov emphasized that two predominantly Orthodox nations cannot bargain on the basis of a Catholic foundation, implying that religious disproportion could wear away the credibility or simplicity of the process.
Position of the Russian Orthodox Church: The Moscow Patriarchate has followed suit in doubting this. It criticized Pope Francis for allegedly misleading a meeting with Patriarch Kirill, asserting such action hinders positive communication between the Roman Catholic and Russian Orthodox churches.
Political Concerns:
Lavrov challenged the authority of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in suspending elections under martial law. He posed the question that holding presidential elections in Ukraine might lead to peace.
Protecting Russian-Speaking Ukrainians: Lavrov repeated Russia‘s opposition to what he called a “junta“ government in Kyiv. He called on the international community to pressure Ukraine to repeal laws that he claims discriminate against Russian-speaking people—accusations energetically rejected by the Ukrainian authorities..
I say nyet to Vatican mediation. No. No. No! How could a Pope allow himself to be USED fas a front for negotiations? Terrible! It’s a really big fake show!
Perhaps Meloni is beginning to lose her memory, and requires a refresh…the last time a Pope “mediated” and “prayed” for peace in the Ukraine, his two doves were attacked…so much for God accepting the Vatican’s hypocritical prayers…

And that makes sense, given that the Vatican’s Uniate activities against Orthodoxy in the Ukraine planted the seeds for today’s conflict along religious lines many years ago…and now that an “international puppet” in Constantinople was willing to help the Uniate movement by issuing a “tomos” to Schismatics and stoking the flames of this war even more, do they really think that the Russians would show up at the Vatican for peace talks?
If they want a venue that they’ve already leveraged in the past, they could easily return to Minsk, which has common borders with both sides, but this time to sign a “binding accord”, not one that will be ignored.
Exactly! Some of the people persecuting the canonical OC in Ukraine are uniates as seen in videos, along with the fake barto priests. Both Barto and the pope talk about peace while wedging a war against the temples of God. They are a joke and the real orthodox Christians will never recognize them and OCU. I’m wondering if Barto is financing them, perhaps with the millions of dollars he received from the ground zero greek church, where money disappeared from donations into an endless pit and perhaps from other bribes… Because someone is clearly financing this persecution.
Not to mention that Leo’s recent appointments have exposed him as a big leftist, Francis II. There is nothing to gain dealing with the gentle shepherd of the western cabal.
