In Zimbabwe, the First Ordained Deaconess In Africa and Modern Orthodoxy!

First, deaconesses were never universally implemented in the Church. Second, their ministries were not unique to the office but were tasks any layperson could do. Third, this will show the African Church the way to irrelevance since every historical Christian religious body that has embraced modernism, wokism, etc, beginning with female clergy, witness an attrition of members. But, fourth, they don’t care. The hierarchs are used to liturgizing in empty cathedrals–it is all for show. Finally, where’s her modesty scarf? Women’s heads should be covered in Church.

If these are legitimate photos, the drums of heresy are beating loud and clear…

The “right thing to do” here is for this bishop and any other bishop who agreed to this to be declared a heretic by all other Orthodox synods, be defrocked by Alexandria, and obviously have this “ordination” formally declared uncanonical and illegitimate…

The following public profile of their esteemed “central committee member” by the WCC website should normally have been enough to defrock him not too long ago (historically)…

How can you possibly serve 2 masters (churches) and call yourself an Orthodox bishop?

Ancient deaconesses never officiated in Liturgy or at the holy altar…the images above are quite disturbing. The word “deacon” means assistant/servant in Greek. To make the role of a deaconess relevant today, the following ancient societal conditions are also needed:
1) adult baptisms without any clothing, so that a “deaconess” is needed to anoint female bodies (because the priest can’t do that for obvious reasons)
2) A return to the posted signs that we still see in older church buildings in Greece “Women’s areas / Men’s areas”, so that the deaconess can “keep disorderly women order” during the service, and to make sure that women Catechumens “depart” to the narthex at the appropriate time so that “only the faithful remain” in the central part of the Church building…
3) A return to the days where societal tolerance for males to be seen with females that were not their wives or sisters was a non-starter, so that female “teachers” (deaconesses) would be required in order to go to the homes of women Catechumens…

It’s not clear if any of the 3 “historical reasons” above apply to the reality on the ground in Zimbabwe, but the images above seem to have crossed many shocking lines that are not supported by our Holy Tradition on this topic…a betrayal of Orthodoxy in the same week that we are following the details of the betrayal of Christ in our services…the timing is impeccable…

I’m strongly suspecting this is an intentional, coordinated, provocative action intended to weaken and destabilize Orthodoxy internationally…That will further accelerate a nasty pending schism unless immediate condemnation and appropriate action by other Orthodox bishops takes place to swiftly isolate and remove this cancer…the next few days / weeks are critical to monitor synodal reactions from across the Orthodox jurisdictions…

Whoever sanctioned this did so to mock Christ and the church.

Yikes the Patriarchate of Alexandria is operated by Karloutsos & CIA? Everything “retired” Rasputin touches gets contaminated with the one goal:
to dismantle Orthodox Church

Since the recognition of the schismatic in Ukraine, as a new autocephalous church, Alexandria is no longer Orthodox. Africa is a mission of the Russian Patriarchal Exarchate. So this news doesn’t affect the Orthodox Christians.

Pat. Theodoros recognizes schismatics and serves with them, so this isn’t very surprising to me. The slide down the slippery slope is a quick one!

Once again, Orthodox Christianity has been mocked by wicked shepherds. If the insouciant laity continues to refuse to take a stand, it will get worse. The dilution of Orthodox Christianity is deepening day by day.

It all makes perfect sense now. No wonder Elpi has been chasing the Patriarch of Alexandria and honoring him at the Archons and organizing for him to meet Biden. Now they convinced Alexandria to do this (knowing full well the local African Orthodox as well meaning as they may be don’t know better) and then in a few years they will say well we can do this in America because it is being done in Africa. Then once women are deacons, they will say well if they can be deacons what is the difference if they are priests and then bishops. Then the Orthodox Church goes the way of the Episcopal Church. This was a very clever Machiavellian lever to surreptitiously make this happen. And don’t think for a minute the honors bestowed by 79th street on the Patriarch of Alexandria are a coincidence. It is coordinated, planned and being implemented before our very eyes.
