How Dora Bakoyianni paved the way for international recognition of Kosovo, putting Belgrade to sleep. The dark role of the Germans and the unknown background
After the rupture with Russia, an earthquake in Greek-Serbian relations is caused by the unprecedented and unprecedented manipulations of the Mitsotakis government, this time with the prime minister’s sister Dora Bakoyannis, known for her dangerous views on national issues, as the sad protagonist. Mrs. Bakoyannis “emptied” Serbia on the issue of Kosovo, paving the way for its international recognition and provoking the anger of megatons in Belgrade, which was expressed with the unusually sharp speech of President Aleksandar Vucic. Mr. Vucic, as the “democracy” wrote yesterday, accused Mrs. Bakoyannis of cheating following German pressure, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dasic, in an exclusive statement to our newspaper, holds the entire “betrayal” responsible for Mitsotakis government, reminding that Mrs. Bakoyannis is a prominent member, sister of the Greek Prime Minister!

But let’s start things from the beginning, illuminating the dark background of this unprecedented reversal of a fixed Greek national position, which is also inextricably linked with Cyprus’ firm refusal to recognize the Balkan hybrid state, as such a development could pave the way for recognition of the Possessed!
With a report-disgrace [AS/Pol (2024) 10, 20 March 2024] to the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy of the Parliamentary Conference of the Council of Europe, Mrs. Bakoyannis essentially “sold” the Serbs (after first putting them to sleep with empty promises) and welcome Kosovo to the Council of Europe!
With her report, which of course was adopted last Wednesday with praise by the competent committee of the Council of Europe, without any substantial reactions and by the chairman of the Committee for the Western Balkans, Alexis Tsipras (he voted “present”), Mrs. Bakoyannis skillfully prepared the ground for the international recognition of the Balkan formation, in derogation of the fixed national position and without any political legitimation.
The event caused a painful surprise in Belgrade, since the Greek politician defiantly bypassed the international prerequisites and replaced them with… wishful thinking. Until recently, Mrs. Bakoyannis proposed three fundamental conditions as indispensable conditions for the European fate of the Balkan “state”:
a) return of assets stolen from Kosovo of all Serbian holy monasteries in Kosovo and the shares in the monasteries to which they belong,
b) establishing a union of Serbian municipalities within Kosovo, in the areas where the Serbian population has an overwhelming majority, reaching 99%;
c) lift the expropriation law and return all their assets to the Kosovo Serbs.
On March 20, however, and for seemingly inexplicable reasons, Mrs. Bakoyannis voted against all international demands, now content with a secondary commitment, the return of assets, only to the Serbian monastery of Visoki Detsani.
In particular, she points out… self-refuting in her said report (paragraph 25) that “in my information note, submitted to the Commission on March 5, 2024, I made it clear that the non-execution of a decision, assessed by the Constitutional Court as final, would it must be considered a political choice and a significant failure of Kosovo’s institutions to respect the rule of law.” Immediately afterwards, however, she herself declares her change of attitude (paragraph 26):
“I am therefore satisfied that on March 14, 2024 I was informed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora [s.s.: of Kosovo] that the decision of the Constitutional Court has been implemented, with the registration of the 24 hectares of land in the name of the monastery [s.s. : Visoki Detsani]. This is a major point, on the part of the Kosovo Authorities, of their courage and willingness to take difficult decisions in order to comply with the rule of law, which also testifies to the importance they attach to membership of the Council of Europe.”
Although it appears from the final introductory report of Mrs. Bakoyannis that she was convinced, allegedly, by a written commitment expressed by Kosovar Prime Minister Kurti in a letter to her (3/3/2024), it is clear that behind the ” this is what Germany is hiding, as Vucic argued in his speech. This follows from a series of data, including the statement of German MP Knut Abraham, member of the Bundestag and the Parliamentary Conference of the Council of Europe, who last Friday (22/3/2024) ironically attacked the US special envoy for the Balkans, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabriel Escobar, emphasizing that “the US itself could not fulfill the independent European criteria for Kosovo’s membership because of the death penalty”(!).
The former Social Democrat chairman of the Bundestag’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael Roth, did the same with a particularly aggressive post on X against the American stance, as well as other German “observers” who railed online against those who oppose Kosovo’s accession, while deifying the positive proposal by Mrs. Bakoyannis.
This development triggers a serious cooling cycle of Greek-Serbian relations, with unspecified consequences for future balances in the Balkans.
Critical questions arise as to the motives of Mrs. Bakoyannis’ method, which opens the European path in Kosovo with Greek blessings, but not as a continuation of the fulfillment of international prerequisites, to which the United States still insists, but with wishes of good faith, operating the itself as a Trojan Horse in favor of the pseudocrat and throwing Greek “fuel on the fire” of the historical German hatred against Serbia, which permeates the entire 20th century.
As reported by Serbian diplomatic sources to the “democracy”, Mrs. Bakoyannis firmly believes that the integration of Kosovo will strengthen the rule of law in this “state” as well as the faster achievement of the above conditions of practical respect and defense of the rights of the Serbian population and of the Serbian Orthodox Church. However, the same sources meaningfully raise the question: how will it be seen in Greece if Serbia says that “we recognize the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”, because this will also ensure the rights of the expelled Greek Cypriots”?
From the exclusive statement of the Serbian foreign minister in the “Sunday Republic” it can be concluded that Serbia perceives the Bakoyannis proposal as a harbinger of a change in attitude of the Greek government towards the final recognition of Kosovo, pointing out the relative relationship of the rapporteur with the Greek prime minister and considering that such a report it is in no way an individual initiative of hers.
It remains to be seen whether the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will vote in favor of the Bakoyannis report at its Plenary in April, thus paving the way for a decision on Kosovo’s accession in May by the Council of Ministers, and whether Greece will ultimately prove – by actions of its sister of Prime Minister Mr. Mitsotakis – fratricide, creating an act of definitive condemnation of Cyprus.
“Dora’s proposal is a hostile move”
With a significant exclusive statement to “Sunday Democracy”, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and close associate of President Vucic Ivica Dasic expresses his country’s bitterness at the sudden change of attitude of the rapporteur at the Council of Europe, Dora Bakoyannis, regarding the accession of Kosovo. Mr. Dasic, who did not hesitate to say that Mrs. Bakoyannis, essentially deceived the Serbian side with false promises, characterizes the gesture of the Greek politician as “a move that goes directly against the interests of Serbia”:
“It is particularly disappointing that the proposal of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the inclusion of Kosovo in this organization was submitted with the Greek Dora Bakoyannis as the main rapporteur. Especially because Mrs. Bakoyannis is not just any personality. She belongs to the Mitsotakis family and is the prime minister’s sister.
Serbia always showed understanding when in all meetings Greece insisted that we must respect its territorial integrity and sovereignty on land, sea and air. Unfortunately, the same did not happen with this proposal for the accession of Kosovo to the Council of Europe, a proposal that constitutes the “twilight of International Law” and is directly against the interests of Serbia.”

Μετά τη ρήξη με τη Ρωσία, σεισμό στις ελληνοσερβικές σχέσεις προκαλούν οι πρωτοφανείς και ανιστόρητοι χειρισμοί της κυβέρνησης Μητσοτάκη, αυτή τη φορά με θλιβερή πρωταγωνίστρια την αδερφή του πρωθυπουργού Ντόρα Μπακογιάννη, γνωστή για τις επικίνδυνες απόψεις της στα εθνικά θέματα. Η κυρία Μπακογιάννη «άδειασε» τη Σερβία στο ζήτημα του Κοσσυφοπεδίου, ανοίγοντας διάπλατα τον δρόμο για τη διεθνή του αναγνώριση και προκαλώντας οργή μεγατόνων στο Βελιγράδι, που εκφράστηκε με το ασυνήθιστα οξύ διάγγελμα του προέδρου Αλεξάνταρ Βούτσιτς. Ο κ. Βούτσιτς, όπως έγραψε χθες η «δημοκρατία», κατηγόρησε την κυρία Μπακογιάννη για εξαπάτηση κατόπιν γερμανικών πιέσεων, ενώ ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Σερβίας Ιβιτσα Ντάσιτς, σε αποκλειστική του δήλωση προς την εφημερίδα μας, καθιστά υπόλογη για την «προδοσία» συνολικά την κυβέρνηση Μητσοτάκη, θυμίζοντας ότι η κυρία Μπακογιάννη είναι περίοπτο μέλος της, αδελφή του Ελληνα πρωθυπουργού!

Αλλά ας πάρουμε τα πράγματα από την αρχή, φωτίζοντας το σκοτεινό παρασκήνιο αυτής της πρωτοφανούς ανατροπής πάγιας ελληνικής εθνικής θέσης, που συνδέεται άρρηκτα και με τη σθεναρή άρνηση της Κύπρου να αναγνωρίσει το βαλκανικό υβριδικό κράτος, καθώς μια τέτοια εξέλιξη θα μπορούσε να ανοίξει τον δρόμο για αναγνώριση των Κατεχομένων!
Με μια εισηγητική έκθεση-όνειδος [AS/Pol (2024) 10, 20 March 2024] προς την Επιτροπή Πολιτικών Υποθέσεων και Δημοκρατίας της Κοινοβουλευτικής Συνδιάσκεψης του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης, η κυρία Μπακογιάννη στην ουσία «πούλησε» τους Σέρβους (αφού πρώτα τους αποκοίμισε με κούφιες υποσχέσεις) και καλωσόρισε το Κοσσυφοπέδιο στο Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης!
Με την έκθεσή της, που φυσικά υιοθετήθηκε μετ’ επαίνων την περασμένη Τετάρτη από την αρμόδια επιτροπή του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης, χωρίς ουσιαστικές αντιδράσεις και από τον προεδρεύοντα της Επιτροπής για τα Δυτικά Βαλκάνια Αλέξη Τσίπρα (ψήφισε «παρών»), η κυρία Μπακογιάννη προετοίμασε έντεχνα το έδαφος για τη διεθνή αναγνώριση του βαλκανικού μορφώματος, κατά παρέκκλιση της πάγιας εθνικής θέσης και χωρίς καμία πολιτική νομιμοποίηση.
Το γεγονός προκάλεσε οδυνηρό αιφνιδιασμό στο Βελιγράδι, αφού η Ελληνίδα πολιτικός παρέκαμψε με τρόπο προκλητικό τα διεθνή προαπαιτούμενα και τα υποκατέστησε με… ευσεβείς πόθους. Μέχρι πρότινος, η κυρία Μπακογιάννη προέτασσε τρεις θεμελιώδεις όρους ως απαρέγκλιτες προϋποθέσεις για την ευρωπαϊκή τύχη του βαλκανικού «κρατιδίου»:
α) επιστροφή των κλαπέντων από το Κοσσυφοπέδιο περιουσιακών στοιχείων όλων των σερβικών ιερών μονών του Κοσσυφοπεδίου και των μετοχίων στα μοναστήρια στα οποία ανήκουν,
β) ίδρυση ένωσης σερβικών δήμων εντός του Κοσσυφοπεδίου, στις περιοχές όπου ο σερβικός πληθυσμός έχει συντριπτική πλειοψηφία, που αγγίζει το 99%,
γ) άρση του νόμου απαλλοτριώσεων και επιστροφή όλων των περιουσιακών τους στοιχείων στους Σέρβους του Κοσόβου.
Στις 20 Μαρτίου, ωστόσο, και για λόγους φαινομενικά ανεξήγητους, η κυρία Μπακογιάννη συμψήφισε όλες τις διεθνείς απαιτήσεις, αρκούμενη πλέον σε μια δευτερεύουσα δέσμευση, την επιστροφή περιουσιακών στοιχείων, μόνο στο σερβικό μοναστήρι Βισόκι Ντέτσανι.
Συγκεκριμένα, η ίδια επισημαίνει… αυτοαναιρούμενη στην εν λόγω έκθεσή της (παράγραφος 25) ότι «στο ενημερωτικό σημείωμά μου, που υποβλήθηκε στην Επιτροπή στις 5 Μαρτίου 2024, κατέστησα σαφές ότι η μη εκτέλεση απόφασης, που αξιολογήθηκε από το Συνταγματικό Δικαστήριο ως δεδικασμένο, θα πρέπει να θεωρείται πολιτική επιλογή και σημαντική αποτυχία των θεσμών του Κοσσυφοπεδίου να σεβαστούν την αρχή του κράτους δικαίου». Αμέσως μετά, ωστόσο, η ίδια δηλώνει την αλλαγή στάσης της (παράγραφος 26):
«Είμαι λοιπόν ικανοποιημένη που στις 14 Μαρτίου 2024 ενημερώθηκα από τον υπουργό Εξωτερικών και Διασποράς [σ.σ.: του Κοσόβου] ότι έχει εφαρμοστεί η απόφαση του Συνταγματικού Δικαστηρίου, με την εγγραφή των 24 εκταρίων γης στο όνομα της μονής [σ.σ.: Βισόκι Ντέτσανι]. Αυτό είναι ένα μείζον σημείο, από πλευράς των Αρχών του Κοσσυφοπεδίου, του θάρρους και της προθυμίας τους να λάβουν δύσκολες αποφάσεις με σκοπό τη συμμόρφωση με το κράτος δικαίου, το οποίο μαρτυρεί επίσης τη σημασία που αποδίδουν στην ένταξη στο Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης».
Μολονότι από την τελική εισηγητική έκθεση της κυρίας Μπακογιάννη προκύπτει ότι η ίδια πείστηκε, δήθεν, από έγγραφη σχετική δέσμευση την οποία εκφράζει ο Κοσοβάρος πρωθυπουργός Κούρτι με επιστολή του προς την ιδία (3/3/2024), είναι σαφές ότι πίσω από την «κωλοτούμπα» αυτή κρύβεται η Γερμανία, όπως υποστήριξε και στο διάγγελμά του ο Βούτσιτς. Τούτο προκύπτει από σειρά δεδομένων, μεταξύ των οποίων και η δήλωση του Γερμανού βουλευτή Knut Abraham, μέλους της Bundestag και της Κοινοβουλευτικής Συνδιάσκεψης του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης, ο οποίος την περασμένη Παρασκευή (22/3/2024) επιτέθηκε με ειρωνεία στον ειδικό απεσταλμένο των ΗΠΑ για τα Βαλκάνια, υφυπουργό Εξωτερικών Γκάμπριελ Εσκομπάρ, τονίζοντας ότι «οι ΗΠΑ δεν θα μπορούσαν οι ίδιες να εκπληρώσουν τα ανεξάρτητα ευρωπαϊκά κριτήρια ένταξης του Κοσσυφοπεδίου λόγω της θανατικής ποινής»(!). Το ίδιο έκανε με ιδιαίτερα επιθετική ανάρτηση στο X εναντίον της αμερικανικής στάσης και ο μέχρι πρότινος σοσιαλδημοκράτης πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Εξωτερικών Υποθέσεων της Bundestag Μίκαελ Ρότ, καθώς και άλλοι Γερμανοί «παρατηρητές» που βυσσοδομούσαν στο διαδίκτυο κατά όσων αντιτίθενται στην ένταξη του Κοσσυφοπεδίου, αποθεώνοντας παράλληλα τη θετική εισήγηση της κυρίας Μπακογιάννη.
Η εν λόγω εξέλιξη πυροδοτεί σοβαρό κύκλο ψύχρανσης των ελληνοσερβικών σχέσεων, με απροσδιόριστες συνέπειες για τις μελλοντικές ισορροπίες στα Βαλκάνια.
Κρίσιμα ερωτήματα γεννώνται ως προς τα κίνητρα της μεθόδευσης της κυρίας Μπακογιάννη, η οποία ανοίγει με ελληνικές ευλογίες την ευρωπαϊκή πορεία στο Κοσσυφοπέδιο, όχι όμως ως συνέχεια εκπλήρωσης διεθνών προαπαιτουμένων, στα οποία εξακολουθούν να εμμένουν οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, αλλά με ευχολόγια καλής πίστης, λειτουργώντας η ίδια ως Δούρειος Ιππος υπέρ του ψευδοκρατιδίου και ρίχνοντας ελληνικό «λάδι στη φωτιά» του ιστορικού γερμανικού μίσους εναντίον της Σερβίας, που διαπερνά όλο τον 20ό αιώνα.
Οπως μετέφεραν στη «δημοκρατία» σερβικές διπλωματικές πηγές, εδραία πεποίθηση της κυρίας Μπακογιάννη είναι ότι η ένταξη του Κοσσυφοπεδίου θα ενισχύσει και το κράτος δικαίου στο «κρατίδιο» αυτό αλλά και την ταχύτερη επίτευξη των ανωτέρω προϋποθέσεων έμπρακτου σεβασμού και υπεράσπισης των δικαιωμάτων του σερβικού πληθυσμού και της Σερβικής Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας. Ωστόσο, οι ίδιες πηγές θέτουν με νόημα το ερώτημα: πώς θα φανεί στην Ελλάδα εάν η Σερβία πει ότι «αναγνωρίζουμε την “Τουρκική Δημοκρατία της Βόρειας Κύπρου”, διότι αυτό θα διασφαλίσει και τα δικαιώματα των εκδιωχθέντων Ελληνοκυπρίων»;
Από την αποκλειστική δήλωση του Σέρβου υπουργού Εξωτερικών στην «κυριακάτικη δημοκρατία» συνάγεται ότι η Σερβία εκλαμβάνει την εισήγηση Μπακογιάννη ως προάγγελο αλλαγής στάσης της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης στην τελική αναγνώριση του Κοσόβου, επισημαίνοντας τη συγγενική σχέση της εισηγήτριας με τον Έλληνα πρωθυπουργό και θεωρώντας ότι μια τέτοια έκθεση επ᾽ ουδενί συνιστά ατομική πρωτοβουλία της ίδιας.
Μένει να φανεί εάν η Κοινοβουλευτική Συνέλευση του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης θα υπερψηφίσει την έκθεση Μπακογιάννη στην Ολομέλειά της τον Απρίλιο, ανοίγοντας έτσι τον δρόμο για απόφαση ένταξης του Κοσόβου τον Μάιο από το Συμβούλιο Υπουργών, και αν τελικά η Ελλάδα θα αποδειχθεί -με ενέργειες της αδελφής του πρωθυπουργού κ. Μητσοτάκη- αδελφοκτόνος, δημιουργώντας τετελεσμένο οριστικής καταδίκης της Κύπρου.
«Εχθρική κίνηση η πρόταση της Ντόρας»
Με μια βαρυσήμαντη αποκλειστική δήλωση προς την «κυριακάτικη δημοκρατία» ο αναπληρωτής πρωθυπουργός, υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Σερβίας και στενός συνεργάτης του προέδρου Βούτσιτς Ιβιτσα Ντάσιτς εκφράζει την πικρία της χώρας του για την ξαφνική αλλαγή στάσης της εισηγήτριας στο Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης Ντόρας Μπακογιάννη σχετικά με την ένταξη του Κοσσυφοπεδίου. Ο κ. Ντάσιτς, που δεν δίστασε να πει ότι η κυρία Μπακογιάννη, ουσιαστικά εξαπάτησε τη σερβική πλευρά με ψεύτικες υποσχέσεις, χαρακτηρίζει τη χειρονομία της Ελληνίδας πολιτικού «κίνηση που στρέφεται ευθέως ενάντια στα συμφέροντα της Σερβίας»:
«Είναι ιδιαίτερα απογοητευτικό το γεγονός ότι η πρόταση της Πολιτικής Επιτροπής της Κοινοβουλευτικής Συνέλευσης του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης για ένταξη του Κοσσυφοπεδίου σε αυτόν τον οργανισμό υποβλήθηκε με κύρια εισηγήτρια την Ελληνίδα Ντόρα Μπακογιάννη. Ειδικά επειδή η κυρία Μπακογιάννη δεν είναι οποιαδήποτε προσωπικότητα. Ανήκει στην οικογένεια Μητσοτάκη και είναι αδερφή του πρωθυπουργού.
Η Σερβία έδειξε πάντα κατανόηση όταν σε όλες τις συναντήσεις η Ελλάδα επέμενε ότι πρέπει να σεβόμαστε την εδαφική της ακεραιότητα και κυριαρχία σε ξηρά, θάλασσα και αέρα. Δυστυχώς το ίδιο δεν συνέβη με αυτήν την πρόταση για ένταξη του Κοσσυφοπεδίου στο Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης, πρόταση που αποτελεί το “λυκόφως του Διεθνούς Δικαίου” και είναι ευθέως αντίθετη προς τα συμφέροντα της Σερβίας».
This proves that Dora is NOT representing the interests of Greece, Hellenism or Christianity… she is an agent of our enemies, be it Zionists, PseudoChristian, American… etc… There are very few leaders that put Hellenism first in the almost 200 years of our liberation from the Ottoman Turks… unfortunately we haven’t achieved full liberation and the conscription of our prominent political leaders (with a few exceptions) by our enemies (which includes unfortunately countries we have been loyal to and considered them as our allies) to act against us… The Struggle for liberation still continues… Countries like Serbia and Russia who fight against the same antiChristian and antiHellenic actors are our natural allies… and those that betray these alliances should NOT be representing us!
