EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis) Yes, this photo – of Vladimir Putin kissing the Quran – became viral, and the Russophobes rushed to make the wrong, simplistic comments.  Helleniscope’s readers will always be provided with a clear path to the “truth through knowledge.”  Here it is:

• As our title says, the Russian President was visiting a new mosque in Chechnya called “Prophet Jesus” accompanied by the famous Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.  Just the name of the new mosque, “Prophet Jesus,” should signal to all that there is something deeper in this story than just “Putin playing politics.” Alas, like Einstein said, “Stupidity has no limits.”  I would say the same for ignorance, too.
• The mosque “Prophet Jesus” probably symbolized the tremendous strides Russia made in the last two decades to bring together Muslims, Christians, and everybody else. Russia succeeded in this process; it did better than most other countries and brought peace within its borders.
• As a result, Muslim Chechen and other fighters who live in Russia feel great loyalty to the mother country, and they return the love and respect from Moscow by fighting harder than anyone else on the battlefields of Ukraine.
• As we speak, Chechen fighters have helped liberate almost 50% of the territory around Kursk invaded by the Ukrainians. They reported: “We have never killed more soldiers in such a limited time.” The Ukrainians are surrounded, their lines of communication are cut off, and unfortunately, they are slaughtered. So Putin wanted to show his respect to the Chechens.
• Yes, indeed, this will have broader effects: Putin and all BRICS “keep their eyes on the ball,” meaning the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, on October 22-24.  At that summit, participants will also be Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE (all Muslim countries), and Ethiopia (65% Christian, 31% Muslim).  Putin is a politician and made the right symbolic gesture. Going down the stupidity road and suggesting that he doesn’t feel Christian enough, well, is just ridiculous.
• Those who have read Putin’s biography know he grew up very close to Jewish neighbors in St. Petersburg, and this is why he shows great respect to Judaism (along with the fact that in Israel live 1.2 million Russian Jews). His biography also suggests a deeply Christian upbringing by his faithful Orthodox mother. Where do the half-educated “Russophobes” see the conflict?
• To wrap it up, in the last few days, Putin amply displayed the makeup of the world-class leader he truly is. First, he made a massive deal with Azerbaijan and invited this energy-producing country to join the BRICS. Second, in Chechnya, he showed the way for a peaceful coexistence between Christians and Moslems. Do you know what lies behind these signals? The cooperation of true Christians (like ALL Orthodox Churches should be) and Muslims in the fight against globalist woke “subculture.” And this is what bothers the globalists the most.  
• At the same time, in America, a National Guard Officer was Booted from Command for Expressing Christian Beliefs. I hope I have convinced you and educated you. Please allow me to stop here.

Putin Kisses the Quran In A New Chechen Mosque Named “Prophet Jesus”

Putin visits Chechnya for the first time in 13 years – The purpose of the unscheduled trip to the country was to encourage volunteer soldiers to train there before being sent to the Ukrainian frontline

A video of Russian President Vladimir Putin kissing the Holy Quran has gone viral on social media.

Footage captured last Tuesday during his visit to Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, shows Putin receiving a gold-plated Koran at the new Prophet Jesus Mosque.

The footage was shown by leading television networks and publications in Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and the United Arab Emirates and immediately became popular on social networks.

His gesture of kissing and holding the Quran has sparked a wave of positive reactions on Arabic social media.

Usually, when such cases occur, some Muslims are quick to glorify not only the act, but the person who commits it and turn that person into a quasi-savior or role model for Muslims.

Putin visited Chechnya last Tuesday (20/8) for the first time in 13 years. The purpose of the unplanned trip to the Muslim-majority country was to encourage volunteer soldiers to train there before being sent to the Ukrainian frontline as Russia continues to suffer horrendous casualties.

Although Russia does not release figures on the matter, Western officials believe 1,200 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded each day in May and June, the highest rate since Putin’s invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.

The visit to Chechnya

The arrival of the Russian president was announced by the commander of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in a Telegram post: “A rich program is planned as part of this visit,” he said.

Public Russian television showed footage of Putin arriving by helicopter. Kadyrov and his close associates welcomed him at the airport.

“People will be happy. They will be happy that the president came to the Republic. For us it is a motivation, it is renewal. It is a great happiness,” Kadyrov told reporters.

According to Kadyrov, Putin began the visit by visiting the grave of Akhmat Kadyrov, his father and predecessor in Chechnya’s leadership, who was killed in an Islamist attack in 2004.

Earlier, Putin went to Beslan, North Ossetia, to mark the 20th anniversary of a deadly attack by Chechen Islamists on a primary school.
