Thank You to Helleniscope , by honoring our Hellenic Heroes that liberated the Hellenes from the Ottomans. George Karaiskakis , is our courageous hero of the Revolution of 1821. Karaiskakis ousted the Turks out of my village of birth, Domvraina Thivon, Boeotia in the years 1826-1827 , after his campaigns in Arahova Boeotia. His death in Palio Faliro is questionable , unmentionable, if he suffered the same fate as Kapodistrias in Nauplio a few years later to blemish and stagnate the heroic accomplishments to liberate the Greek Nation. We Honor Karaiskakis, with a thirty foot statue of local marble ,as a reminder on the cliff on the mountains of Elikonas near the Nine Muses as our patron Hero. We will endure to continue his mission to keep ELLAS from Corruption -within- and defend oppressive enslavement , from foreign interventions! Bravo to Helleniscope -keep up the good works on Hellenic Patriotism!
And for those heroes who survived the Revolution, what happened to them? The European powers (Britain, France and Germany), alongside the “Greek” government (which wasn’t really Greek), tired them afterwards as traitors and condemned them. They would have been executed if the Greek people did not rise up. Can Helleniscope please cover this story?
