By George C Michalopulos
For those of you who have followed Monomakhos in the past, you know that I have been an unwavering critic of many of the policies and institutions of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
One such institution is the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Now, I don’t mean specific individuals within this organization. I personally knew two very fine, Christian men who deserved recognition for their contributions to their parish. They are no longer with us, but I am sure they have earned rich praise from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’m sure many of you do as well. The problem is with the upper echelons, a group of men who exemplify all the worst aspects of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and its various archdioceses.
I’m speaking specifically about the constant grandstanding and desire for inclusion on the world stage. The Athenagoras Human Rights award is one such vehicle for such aggrandizement.
Please take a look at the various recipients who have been beneficiaries of this award: while it does have some notable names (Mikhail Gorbachev, Alex Spanos, President and Mrs George H W Bush), it also has some people who are rather questionable at best (“The Scientists Who Saved Humanity from the Covid Pandemic”).
Like so much else that the Phanar does, it follows whatever is trending at the moment. If possible, it tries to shoehorn in the concerns of the Ecumenical Patriarchate no matter how marginal. (“60 Minutes”, are they serious?) An example would be the inclusion of Epiphany Dumenko, the so-called Metropolitan of Kiev and Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Alexei Navalny. (This last fellow was a well-known Russian politician who said inflammatory things about minorities in Russia, in case you were wondering.) Others are outright warmongers (Mike Pompeo) while some are Atlanticists, such as Adm James Stavrides, essentially a talking head on CNN.
In other words, there is no consistent theme meriting the appellation “human rights.” The only consistency is what issue –however thin—would elevate the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the eyes of the American Establishment.
Curiously, one man who should be on this list is not: John Kiriakou.
For those who may not know, Kiriakou is the former CIA agent who blew the whistle on the American torture program during our “Global War on Terror.” For his courageous action, he was imprisoned and impoverished. Although he has served his time, he awaits a presidential pardon so he can have his voting and gun rights restored to him.
By all measures, he should be awarded this honor; after all, he has all of the hallmarks of what the Greek-American establishment looks for, in that he is a faithful Orthodox Christian. He has also served his country as a CIA officer for decades. By any measure, he is an accomplished man, speaking many languages. He’s also gained a great deal of publicity on the world stage, essentially dominating the internet as he continues to fight the good fight for human rights.
Isn’t this the (supposedly) overarching concern of this award?
Unfortunately, because he exposed the dark stain of torture by the American government, all we hear from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese is crickets. We must assume, therefore, that the Archon elite wants nothing to do with anything that besmirches the American establishment. Nor should we be surprised; it was two years ago when Archbishop Elpidophoros Lambrianides, the primate of the GOA, gave the commencement address to the National Intelligence University. Let us be blunt: If they gave the Athenagoras Human Rights Award to Kiriakou, their overlords in Washington would not be pleased.
To say this is ironic would be an understatement. Indeed, hypocrisy is not too strong a word. What is evident, however, is inconsistency and a lot of toadying.
To show how deep the level of absurdity we are dealing with is, the Archons’ most recent press release. In it, we see a photograph of the Ecumenical Patriarch raising a cross while giving this blessing: “There has never been, nor will there ever be a holy war.”
Now, we know why Patriarch Bartholomew gave this “blessing.” It was another slap in the face to Patriarch Kirill of Russia. For Westerners who don’t know better, he is trying to pass himself off as the “peaceful” patriarch while that rascal in Moscow is the “warlike” patriarch. As for the Greek-American elite, they are either deluded or devious. They are certainly oblivious to the rank hypocrisy.
I do not make this accusation lightly. This statement by Patriarch Bartholomew stands in stark contrast to what he believed a few years ago when he blessed the Turkish tanks as they prepared to invade Syria. This is cognitive dissonance on a scale which exceeds traditional Byzantine flattery. For those who may not remember, Turkey helped destabilize the secular government of Hafez al-Assad, thereby replacing it with the current Islamist regime. Assad was no angel but as long as he was in power, religious minorities lived without fear.
Now they don’t.
So let’s recap: John Kiriakou, a man who stood up for human rights (and suffered for it), is not being considered for this “prestigious” award –and probably never will be. But a Ukrainian “prelate” who has imprisoned dozens of priests and bishops, confiscated ancient monasteries, beaten ordinary worshipers, and blessed the atheistic regime of a cocaine-addicted clown has been.
This is truly a theatre of the absurd.

George.
I agree with you on the hypocrisy of the archons. We are all familiar, that when anyone is honored, from the parish level, all the way to the archdiocesan and national level, are very rarely axioi. Thew “honorees” must represent what the organization wants to elevate and honor, without meeting any criteria that have a basis in actual benefits bestowed by the honored person. Tsougarakis, the $420,000 scribe of the archdiocese, a parasite on the body of the church, a poodle that lick’s his owners’ feet, was honored with the Alexander the great award.
However, I must disagree with some of your points. You said that Alexei Navalny “said some nasty things about some minorities in Russia” Nowhere are you mentioning that he is no longer alive, because he was seen as an opposition leader by Putin and was poisoned and died in prison. If skipping over of that part was an error, then, you should correct it. If it was due to your conservative, Putin-loving feelings, then it is hypocritical to take on the archons, while they haven’t poisoned anyone, while justifying Putin’s actions by saying that Navalny somehow deserved his fate because he said something about minorities
The other part is that you’re taking on Bartholomeau, as a war monger, for supposedly blessing the archons’ choice for an honoree, as he blessed the Turkish army going to invade Syria, which is true, while exonerating Kiriil’s responsibility for the war in Ukraine. You must keep in mind the stark differences between Bartlomeau and Kiril. Bartholomeu is the leader of a tiny minority of Greek Orthodox in Turkey and has no influence in the Moslem Turkish government. Kirril, on the other hand, has very much influence, especially with Putin, and the rest of the Russian Orthodox population.
Bob,
Kirill is playing the standard role that any Patriarch in an Orthodox nation-state would play. Should I note that he is keeping the “Byzantine tradition” on this matter? It is only too obvious…
And his role – from our point of view – is very positive as Russia is staunchly “anti-woke”, opposing the pro-LGBTQ policies that Bartholomew and Elpidoforos have adopted.
As for Bartholomew, we had many Patriarchs under Ottoman rule, but I do not remember any of them “blessing” the Ottoman Army guns… Do you? As I have said many times, the reason for such “blessing” is that Bartholomew is being blackmailed. The Turks – and the CIA – know his many sins throughout his life…
Nick
Bartholomeau is between a rock and a hard place. He has to show fealty to the country he was born in. I’m not saying that it was right for him to do that. What I’m saying is that him blessing Turkey’s arms made no difference, because Turks are not Christians.
As for Putin and Kiril being anti-woke, or anti LGBTQ, it makes no difference. If people are woke, they’re not going to change their mind because Putin and Kiril say so. And we’re certainly not going to be pro lgbtq because Elpidoforos and Bartholomeau are leaning towards it.
I dont know about anyone on here, but as for myself, I dont care what anyone, woke or not says. I make up my own mind and they’re not going to change it. If I depended on Putin to “fight” woke for me, Or Elpidoforos to persuade me to accept LGBTQ, than I should be ashamed, as everyone else should be ashamed for waiting from others to make up his mind, instead of deciding for himself.
You know I hate pride parades and gay-inclusive policies. But, I still believe in live and let live. If they dont bother me, I dont bother them.
Yes, but you wouldn’t want your grandchildren to be in an educational system that is guided by “woke”, pro-LGBTQ, principles, would you? My son, who just got married, is already planning to homeschool his kids… The battle we are fighting is global; have no doubt…
Nick. No, I wouldn’t want them to be taught by LGBTQ. However, Putin and Kirril are not going to save us. I hate to break the news to you or anyone who holds their breath, waiting for Putin to “liberate” them from wokeness, whatever that means. Unless they declare war to all woke countries. And judging from their performance in Ukraine, they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
Homeschooling is certainly an option. Better than Putin imposing his interpretation of wokeness.
As I said – this is a global struggle against wokeness. Kirill and Putin have long ago sided with “the right side of history”, with “nature” and God – and against the Satanists. If you have any doubt about the Satanists, then revisit and study in detail the Epstein files and the “accomplishments” of those running the pedophilia ring.
Laws against homosexuality were passed by the Russian Federation after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. It was also after that invasion that Patriarch Kirill described the war as a “metaphysical battle” against Western liberal values. While it is certainly useful to sell the idea of a “moral edge” over the opponent in any war, it should not be lost that mainstream Ukrainian society is deeply rooted in traditional religious and family values, with the majority of Ukrainians identifying as Orthodox Christian. Ukraine is certainly not a “woke” country, regardless of its affiliation with Europe. The irony is astounding.
Perhaps it is similar to how President George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq was considered justified by so many “conservative” American Christians, because George W. was the “Pro-Life” president. Many of these same “conservative” American Christians still continue to stand with Israel, because they still believe that fighting for Israel is also fighting for “Pro-Life” and fighting against homosexuality. Of course it doesn’t matter that Israel always goes to war against some of most socially conservative countries in the world (such as Iraq, Iran, Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria) that have strict laws against abortion and homosexuality, whereas the State of Israel legalizes both.
Do not confuse the situation: the “combined west” provoked the war in Ukraine and we all know what values do they represent. After so many years the masks have fallen: this is a war between the West and Russia and NOT Ukraine and Russia. And it is a war against Orthodoxy and a “Clash of Civilisations” as we have so many times explained. When will you learn?
Unfortunately I would have to agree that it is a war against Orthodoxy. That war has its very roots dating back to 1946 with the creation of a Department of External Church Relations (DECR). It is an institution that still exists today, originally formed under Soviet auspices and direction, yet still connected with the current Moscow government of former KGB agents and Soviets.
Never in the history of the Russian Church did such an institution ever exist before, yet the creation of the DECR serves an old idea dating back to Ivan III of “Moscow as Third Rome”. This was evident in 1948 when the Russian Church called a pan-Orthodox council in Moscow. Joseph Stalin’s aim for this council was essentially the same as the Roman Catholics, to make Moscow an Orthodox Vatican that would replace the Ecumenical Patriarchate:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/326625018_THE_MOSCOW_PAN-ORTHODOX_COUNCIL_8-18_July_1948
Today, the DECR is really at the forefront of the war in Ukraine and still continues the goal of “Moscow as Third Rome”. Just as with the Roman Catholics, it really is a war against Orthodoxy.
Joseph, you are quite wrong about the morality of the Ukrainian nation’s leaders. Besides electing a man who played the piano with his penis and danced in drag, the present Kiev regime has sponsored annual gay pride parades for two years in a row now. As for Dumenko, he came right out of the box in an interview with Vovan and Lexus (notorious Russian pranksters) in which he praised gay rights in the new Ukrainian church.
Per
George, the videos of Zelensky playing the piano and dancing in drag all resurfaced and went viral after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. (By the way, that’s called cyber warfare.) Zelensky did those things when he worked as an actor and comedian, years before he was elected as president. Is Zelensky flawed? Of course he is.
Romania also has hosted gay parades. Is Romania “woke”? Should the Russian Federation invade Romania also?
You keep trying to hide behind your finger… Romania is not woke. Romania hates the Phanariots deeply because of their history as tax collectors for the Sultam in the 18th and 19th centuries. Romania had an election of a PM, Calin Georgeskou cancelled by the EU globalistss without a legal reason – just the same Russophobia that you diseminate… Just look at the map: Odesa is now blockaded by the Russians, Kiev hit nightly without a response and the Donbass all taken. Get ready: soon you will have to welcome the Ukro-nazis here and start paying a salary to the fake Epiphanius… The Ukro-Nazis have now one option left: to leave Ukraine and form a Nazi government in exile, in London, Paris and America.
This is the real reason behind St. Nicholas “honoring” Zelensky… Preparing a “fund” for a Okronazi government in Exile…
I think we can all agree that the Iraq War was probably America’s greatest foreign policy disaster.
I am atoning for my own sins in this regard.
Bob, Navalny had many enemies, not just political ones. There are credible reports that he met his death at the hands of organized crime syndicates.
If so, I am right to criticize him.
However, let us concede your point, that Putin or the FSB killed him. OK, then are our hands clean? The German government killed seven members of the AfD last year. Political adversaries. What about the political dissidents our government has killed? Martin Luther King, Jr springs instantly to mind. The journalist George Polk is another one.
We could go on and on.
In the South, we have a saying which goes something like this: “You don’t think your sh!t stinks.” (“You” in this case being a generic “you”.)
We need to take care of the beam in our own eye before noticing the mote in Putin’s eye.
Of course, if I really wanted to drive the point of the GOA’s toadiness, I would have brought up last year’s Greek Independence Day celebration at the White House, when our esteemed Archbishop said that President Trump was “another Constantine the Great.”
He actually wasn’t wrong in his assessment about Trump but like the stopped clock which is right twice a day, he stumbled upon a major truth. (That’s a story for another day.)
Excellent article Georg!
Very enlightening salient points & as usual Bartholomew & Elpi embarrass Greek diaspora.
Bob,
Respectfully, you’re such a lib. Perhaps spending your time watching CNN or the PBS News Hour might be better worth your time than finding fault with George’s writing. He stated only truths.
Overall, we have hierarchs in our church who have sold the Orthodox faithful out for money and fame, whilst continuously satiating their hubris….and they are probably being blackmailed, like most of the politicians in DC, hence our current state of affairs worldwide.
Team Jesus. Why attack Bob personally? It’s okay to agree and disagree without personal attack. And you prefaced your attack with the word “respectfully.” Ah, maybe you’re having a bad day?
Thanks Jane. Everyone has an opinion. People love to compartmentalize others, as liberals or commies, or whatever they come up with. But you know what I have noticed. Those people never offer an argument that is based on facts. They just categorize you as “liberal”, because they know they lost the argument.
Bob, bravo for standing up in front of your church and speaking your truth. Many people commenting on blogs like to demean others when they disagree with them.
Team.
I prefer to consider myself a sensible man, rather than “liberal”. There are many points that I disagree with liberals. And I agree with you on the wrongs that the church is doing to the faithful. I have physically protested numerous times, with signs, in front of my church, in front of the venue where an “honor” was wasted on Tsougarakis, in front of the archdiocese itself, along with Nick and a few others. Plus, I have been threatened with lawsuit and with ecclesiastical expulsion. So, I’m no keyboard warrior.
And I agree with George on the archons. What I digress are two points. Read my post again and then, you tell me why you consider it “liberal” and not the truth.
Bob,
There is always a big contradiction in these things you are writing: while you are criticizing the actions of Bartholomew and Elpidophoros, at the same time you support the war against Russia! You support this proxy war that started in 2014 with the presence of Victoria Nulland and John McCain in the Meidan Square coup d’ etat and since then is killing Russian Orthodox Christians, in Donbas and in Russia, soldiers and civilians!
You don’t seem to care about all this unnecessary killing of Orthodox Christians that was initiated in 2014 by the US organized coup d’ etat. All you care is your personal obsession with Putin!
Putin, either you like him or not, is the only major world leader that is Orthodox Christian! And he does what he has to do to protect his Russian Orthodox people that are being suppressed and prosecuted in Ukraine.
And before you start your usual cassette recorded message, no this war didn’t start in 2022 with the invasion of Russia. It started in 2014 with the US organized coup d’ etat that overthrew the elected president of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich. It started with the suppression of the Russophones of East Ukraine that were forbidden to speak Russian! It started with the suppression of their protests and the mass killings and bombardments.
Either you didn’t watch the news between 2014-2022, or the US news were not saying a word of what was happening in Ukraine at that time…
Anyway, from the abundance of weapons and satellite information given to Ukraine, it is obvious that this is a proxy war of NATO against Russia. Ukrainians are used in this war against their will, by the Jewish actor who plays the “President” and is not legitimately elected anymore!
The endurance of the Russian people, military and civilians, has surpassed any expectation. They understand that this war is not only about Ukraine. It’s about the survival of Russia, that is clearly threatened by the expansion of NATO!
Taking the side of the war mongers of DC and NATO, against a predominantly Orthodox country, says a lot about you Bob…
PG, Team Jesus, et al: I thank you all for your support in this matter. Personally, I believe Bob is a sincere fellow and I take his criticisms thoughtfully.
That said, there are many centrists* in America (not just liberals) who have a blinding hatred of Russia and blindly accept the propaganda put out by the Atlantacists.
*BTW, I don’t consider neocons to be “conservatives.” Their godfather was Leon Trotsky.
George. I also appreciate your well-written posts. My digression from your post was the fact that you did not mention Putin’s role in killing Navalny. This fact was central to your story.
I also object to your habit of categorizing different opinions as having been influenced by “liberal”, or “Atlantacist ” propaganda. It sounds as if you condemn any opinion that you disagree with as “propaganda”, while you categorize opinion that you agree with as “legitimate”.
Fact is, we have to get our news from a source. Unless you actually visit Ukraine or Russia and see with your own eyes, then, we are influenced by the source that we rely on. And fact is that it sounds as most people on here are influenced by pro-Putin ideas.
However, let’s be real. Russia has no tradition of freedom of the press as they dont have tradition of a democratic system of government. They are accustomed for generations, from their emperors, to Stalin and then to Putin, of being led by a “father figure”. A strong man who decides for them. They are used to being spoon fed the news as their leader wants them to see it.
Greeks might be Orthodox as the Russians, but, we pride ourselves on giving the world democracy. We can’t have our cake and eat it too. Either we honor our ancestors by holding true to what they taught the world, or we can’t claim that we are their descendants.
With all its faults, the democratic West, which we have CHOSEN to live in, is better than autocratic Russia or China. The West is not perfect. No one is. But democracy and freedom of speech is our ancestors’ tradition and we must stand guard over it.
Well said about Greeks and democracy, Bob! But you forgot to mention that the “Mitsotakis Justice” had demolished both free speech and democracy!! Isn’t interesting that AB Makrios of Australia went to Greece to sue for “defamation”? Makarios a Cretan and a member of the Mitsotakis “mafia” family, won one case and now everyone else of the same mafia follow his example… Bob – if you are going to speak abbout “democracy and Greeks” you have to point your finger to the true culprit of demolishing it…
PG
Sorry. I dont have a Greek keyboard. You, along with some others, are reading words that I did not write. I imagine you are so ready to stand up for Putin, because he is “orthodox”, while you are against Bartholomeau, even though he is also Orthodox!! Can you see the hypocrisy here?
What I do, is I dont care what faith someone is. Its his actions that should judge him. Moreover, you denounce Ukraine, while commanding the Orthodox Russians for their “perseverence” even though they’re both Orthodox countries. Again, the irony is palpable. Then, you go on to tell us that Zelensky is “illegitimate” leader, while you consider Putin, who has killed his opposition to be legitimate. George’s original post, which I objected to, was that the truth was disregarded, by claiming that Naval;ny’s sin was to speak against minorities, while the truth is hat he was poisoned, imprisoned and killed on Putin’s orders.
George’s original post was NOT about the Ukraine war. Yet, in your fervor to prove your pro-Putin credentials, you trying to prove that he is an angel, sent by God to protect us from the degenerate West. Let me ask you. If you really think the West was so wrong to expend NATO, even though NATO expended because those nations wanted to join, they weren’t co-erced, then, why are you staying safely in the sinful West and not moving to Russia? Aren’t you part of the West, when you’re paying taxes and supporting the system?
You’re telling me that “not supporting an Orthodox Country”:–which again is nonsense, because both are Orthodox– says a lot about me. I agree. I support the facts and the truth. If an Orthodox country was right, I would support it wholeheartedly.
Your support of an “orthodox” country,—again, look at the irony,, both combatants are Orthodox– says a lot about you. Most of all, that you dont see the hypocrisy of bad-mouthing the “war mongers” of the West, while you support them with your taxes.
Bob,
From your answer I conclude that arguing with you is a waste of time. You are too old to treat your Russophobia that I presume used to be Communistophobia once upon a time…
You must be the only one in this website who calls Bartholomew “patriarch” and “orthodox”!
I call him just Bartholomew, because according to the Patriarchates own decisions (as early as 1700s) a Freemason cannot be an Orthodox Christian, nevertheless a patriarch!
And how I know that Bartholomew is a freemason? Well, his predecessors were freemasons and he continued cooperating with Masonic Lodges and synagogues. He permitted AHEPA infiltrating our orthodox churches, turning them to Masonic lodges! He speaks with the Pope about the unity with the Catholics, while with his Ukraine trespassing he ruptured any hope of unity between the Orthodox!
Furthermore, Bartholomew cannot find any word of sympathy and compassion for the Russophone Ukrainian priests and monks that are being prosecuted and their churches are confiscated! He cannot find a word of sympathy even for the Greek Orthodox people of Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon that are being prosecuted by Israel!
So, I have many clues that Bartholomew is not actually “orthodox”. Τα ράσα δεν κάνουν τον παπά (Greek saying). On the contrary, you have not a single proof that Putin killed Navalny! Sorry, the accusations of CNN are not considered proof…
By the way, because you talk about hypocrisy, seriously you don’t see what is wrong with expanding NATO to the borders of Russia? If it is not wrong, why the US made it such a big deal when in 1962 the Soviets put some missiles in Cuba?
Closing it here, again, siding with a mason named Bartholomew, a Jew named Zelensky and the NATO war vampires who crave orthodox blood and the complete luck of compassion at least for the Russian Orthodox civilians that are targeted by Zelensky, unfortunately shows who you really are Bob…
PG. I am answering to your post further down, where you are giving up on me because of my “Russophobia”, which is a left-over of the communist era, as you diagnose it.
Nowhere did I say anything against the Russian people. I blame Putin. The Russians are not accustomed to a democratic system, or a free press. Its not their fault. They never had democracy.
The difference between your writings and mine, is that you heap all blame on one person (Bartholomeau) while hypocritically exonerate Putin and Kirril. Bartholomeau doesn’t have an army under his control. Putin does. Bartholomeau didn’t invade Ukraine. POutin did.
Then, you blame Barttholomeau for not saying a word about certain victims of the war, while he has condemned war in general. https://ewtn.co.uk › article-widespread-orthodox.. Maybe he hasn’t said what the Russians want him to say, or what you want, for which you should send him a letter and complain, instead of talking behind his back on here.
Then, you accuse him of being a mason, because of AHEPA. So be it. He is a mason. Leave the GO church and join the Moscow one.
But with Bartholomeau, you are a pharisse, as you are with the “war mongering West”. A keyboard warrior, that lives in the war mongering West, enjoying its freedom of speech, while demonizing it and exhaulting the Russian system.
Some Americans have moved to Russia. Putin is welcoming to all who want to be his supporters. What are you waiting for?.
Freedom of speech gives you the right to criticize America, the West and the patriarchate. I do that often. But only when thewy deserve it. And only after I gather the facts about both sides. You have that right as well. But your criticism is not constructive or balanced. It is soaked to the bone by conspiracy theories, extremist propaganda, one-sided analysis and characterized by blind hate.
Then, you continue with one of your silliest arguments–and there are tons of them–. You said you have “clues that Bartholomeau is not Orthodox, while I dont have proof of Putin killing Navalny. And then, to compound your ignorance, you state that CNN is not considered proof. So, your source of the news is “legitimate”, but mine is not. I dont watch CNN. I read the NYT ands the Economist. And watch the nightly news at 6:30. I dont listen to talking heads and I dont follow Tucker or Marrow. I form my own opinions.
As for NATTO’s expansion, I already explained it to you. Those countries joined BY THEIR OWN FREE WILL. Every independent country has the right to chose their own path. Just as you do, in moving to Russia. But, like those countries, you prefer the “terrible” West, only you’re bd mouthing it.
As for Cuba in 1962, you already told me that I’m stuck in the communist period. Isn’t 12962 the cold war? Are you stuck there? As I said. Your hypocrisy has no bottom.
I’m also closing it here. Siding with the Moscow patriarchate, while not joining them, demonizing NATO’s “war mongers’, even though, in its 85 year existence, NATO was involved in one war (Serbia bombing) while Russia has been in more than 5 wars since the fall of communism, from Chechnia to Ukraine, are both indications of your pharisaism, of your brain being hollowed out by Putin’s propaganda
In the last 35 years, since the fall of Communism, over 30,000 churches were built in Russia… At the same time, the country found a way to live peacefully with its Muslim citizens. Do you know of any Western country that accomplished anything like that? Any Christian country where its Muslim citizens are ready to go to war and die for Mother Russia?
Also, please take a look at today’s post….
https://www.helleniscope.com/2026/08/09/tucker-carlson-they-hate-russia-because-it-is-christian/
Bob,
I was not going to continue this meaningless exchange, but you are very provocative. You pretend that you don’t understand what is wrong with NATO touching the Russian border? You pretend that you don’t understand what is wrong with NATO installing nuclear weapons next to Russia?
You and all who think with this idiotic way, like we are very smart doing a proxy war against Russia, hiding behind Ukraine, you are going to have the US destroyed and all of us killed. Your little brains don’t understand that you cannot play games with a nuclear superpower?
You are such a hypocrite. You say that you don’t have any problem with the Russian people, but you support a proxy war against them! You support the Jew Zelensky who prosecutes Russian priests and monks and sends hundreds of drones and bombs civilians, houses, businesses, malls, even beaches!
The worst is that you don’t even care if the Orthodox people of Serbia were massacred by US and NATO and you don’t even care if the Orthodox people of Russia and Ukraine are massacred by the US-NATO led proxy war in Ukraine! The only thing you and the other idiotic minds care about, is how you will hurt Putin!
Putin is not a saint, but definitely is a better Christian than you, since he restrains from bombing civilians and from the use of nuclear weapons. But you and other idiotic minds translate that as weakness!
Hopefully, logic will prevail even to the idiotic minds and they will stop pushing Putin, because if they don’t, a nuclear war will destroy Russia, US and NATO countries and there is not going to be any army left to fight for Israel!
Closing it, I will answer to your smart ass question “why you are not moving to Russia”, by asking you, why don’t you move to Ukraine to help your Jew pal Zelensky?
Contrary to your responses, I take on each of your arguments head on and answer them. You consider them “provocative” because you are at a loss at how mislead you have been and Here it goes.
ALL independent countries have the right to decide for themselves which alliance they want to join.
Contrary to your assertion, NATO has NOT installed any nuclear weapons near Russia. council on Foreign Relations https://www.cfr.org › articles › nuclear-weapons.. Knowing that you have inside information that we, common mortals do not possess, such as sattelite pictures of nuclear weapons near Russia, send them over, or apologize and strive to learn better.
You’re saying that we are “doing a proxy war against Russia” And you are calling me an idiot for not seeing it. Let me ask you something? Who invaded whom? Answer that and then, figure out who the idiot is. It ain’t me that’s for sure. The West supplies Ukraine with weapons. Sure. What are they supposed to do? Let an independent, UN recognized country fall to the wolves? Russia gets plenty of help from Iran, China, North Korea, including cannon fodder. If she had more friends, she would have gotten more help. If you want to be Chamberlaine, who saw “peace in our time”, when Germany took over Czechoslovakia, be the coward, because you’re a scaredy cat. Hide under the table now, so you’re prepared.
You’re saying Im a hypocrite, because I support a proxy war against the Russians. Again, who invaded whom, you idiot?? A country has every right to defend themselves. And that country deserves the support of the free world. You want to be the traitor to Greek ideals of freedom, self determination and democracy? Go right ahead. If you were with the 300 at Thermopylae, you would have abandoned your comrades in arms and compete with a rabbit who’s going to run the fastest. Because you want to save your skin
Then, you’re saying that “I dont care if the Serbians were massacred, or if the Russians–and now, you add, for the first time, as the hypocrite that you are– the Ukrainians. All due to the “proxy war” that I support. I haven’t heard you saying anything about the Serbians, Russians and Ukraine civilians, but as the hypocrite that you are, you want others to say it for you. before, I haven’t heard you say anything about the Ukrainian and Russian civilians. All you care about is Putin. Just like a poodle, which barks at strangers and then, runs back to its master, to get the bone, rub your belly and get a pat on the head. How many pats on the head have you gotten from Putin?
With this paragraph, your desperation is evident. You have lost all sense of proportion and abandoned the little brain power you might have had. You’re saying Putin is a “better Christian than I am, because he doesn’t bomb civilians”” Are you saying that I bomb civilians???. Show this paragraph to Putin. You’ll get an extra bone and some more belly rubs.
Nuclear war has been a constant since 1945, you idiot. Its not something new. If it happens, it happens. Stop being a coward.
The next paragraph, you’re calling my very legitimate question, of why you’re not moving to Russia “smart-ass” I appreciate you, Putin’s poodle recognizing that I’m smart. But you now overdid yourself in stupidity, with your “gotcha” reply. Why “I dont move to Ukraine”. You idiot, if I lived in Russia and bad-mouthed Russia, then, it would make sense for me to move to Ukraine. You live in the “bad, war mongering West” and you bad mouth it. It would only make sense if you moved to Russia, to be closer to your master., Putin. make sure, like a good poodle to sniff and bark to all newcomers. Do you understand the depth of your ignorance?
Bob sorry to say but you need to seriously study the facts. There were dissertations, articles, and books written on Western tactics, lies, and deceptions as they advanced NATO Eastward. Even Kissinger admitted in 1992 that in no way can Ukraine be pro-West because it is part of the Russian World. I will post his statements soon hoping you can learn. The propaganda bs about “independently choosing an independent country” is only for the less educated and narrow-minded.
Bob,
I am sorry, I don’t have the luxury to spend my time arguing with stubborn people. I was suspecting that you are not actually “orthodox”, but you prove with your approval of criminal and terrorist attacks on civilians, that you also don’t have anything Greek in you… If you want to see a poodle of the Zionist American deep state, look in your mirror!
You missed the greatest disaster of an honoree in the history of archons. The 2010 award winner- now deleted from the website!
You are right! Theodore Cardinal McCarrick was the 2010 recipient of the Athenagoras Human Rights Award. He was the 25th recipient, and the award was presented on October 30, 2010, at the Order’s Grand Banquet at the Hilton Hotel in New York City.
The Archons’ publication says he was selected for his leadership in interfaith understanding, peace and reconciliation, and support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Athenagoras Human Rights Award — official Archons website
Importantly, this award was given years before the later revelations concerning McCarrick’s sexual abuse and misconduct and his subsequent removal from the Catholic priesthood.
We need to find that out, Nick! Shame on us: How could we forget “Uncle Ted”?
Seriously, somebody needs to put this award out of its misery.
Nick. In reply to your above reply to my post to PG, I wanted to stress to you, that Ukraine is a UN recognized nation. No one has the right doubt its legitimacy. After the break up of the Soviet Union, there were many new countries that were formed.
Greece was once part of the Ottoman empire. Why shouldn’t we doubt Greece’s legitimacy? Turkey still doubts Cyprus’ legitimacy. We can’t pick and choose on which country deserves to be free, based on what Kissinger said back then. If you believe Kissinger, then, you also believe that his interference with Cyprus is because he was correct.
Bob – when we discuss foreign policy, this is not how you analyze things. This is NOT how Kissinger analyzed it anyway – and this says it all because he was the architect of American foreign policy for at least 5 decades… I promise you I will find and post his explanation. It is worth studying. In a few words, Kissinger recognized that Ukraine was the birthplace of the Russian civilization. I have called Kiev the Jerusalem of the Russians – and I am sure you know why. Beyond historic symbolism, Kissinger recognized the enormous significance of Ukraine for the defense of Russia. The Vikings, Napoleon, and Hitler all conquered Ukraine on their way to conquering Russia. In the end they were all defeated. Russia does not want to use its endless strategic depth to defeat others in the future. Russia wants to stop invaders in the vast fields of Ukraine.
If you do not understand thiss simple strateegic analysis, I am sorry but I do not have more time to waste.
Nick, I understand that you feel strongly about this issue. However, don’t waste time looking for what Kissinger said. It makes no difference what he said 34 years ago. I am not trying to prove that I’m right. It makes no difference to anyone. We’re no diplomats. My argument is that Ukraine is recognized by the UN, as an independent nation.
According to UN records, Ukraine is recognized by 182 nations as independent.
Ukraine SSR is an independent member of the UN since 1945.
It formally changed its name to Ukraine in 1991, just as USSR changed its name to the Russian federation.
The un recognizes the Crimea as part of Ukrainian territory
and in 2022 the UN General Assembly passed resolutions affirming Ukraine’s territorial integrity
Who are we to doubt Ukraine’s sovereignty?
If there was any doubt as to Ukraine’s legitimacy, I would be with you. But there is not.
Bob, we do not make geopolitical analyse based on what the UN said. Geopolitics – since the times of Thucidides is the analysis of raw power and UN reports are basically “fressh air”.
Are conversational bots used on this site?
Some may sound as predictable and repetitive as a bot…
Got it.
Interesting that Andrew Cuomo, who was accused of sexually harassing scores of women and was forced to resign the governorship in disgrace, remains listed as the 2016 honoree.
Dear Zoey and Jane,
Thanks for the friendly banter, I never said I was Jesus, but I am on His Team! Bob seems to have some valid points and I must be respectful.
Bob, forgive me for hurting your feelings. It seems you’ve been through a lot as you try to defend our faith. As far as facts, it seems ΠΓ just wrote a whole bunch, totally on point. Thank you ΠΓ…
Holistically, we must all remember divide and conquer tactics. Greek city-states routinely turned rival factions against each other or allied with internal splinter groups within opposing states. The ancient empires all had their version of divide and rule such as the Chinese, the Indians, Babylonians, Romans, etc. Today is no exception of this division with the way the world is being organized and ruled. The Orthodox faith is being and will continue to be persecuted because it IS the Body of Christ. If you read the daily Synaxarion, the lives and martyrdom of our saints, you will find they mostly all died gruesome deaths. We must read about them in order to gather strength to fight against the evil we live with. Certainly, heresies always existed bc that’s how God wants it. Ecumenism is no exception and is purported by holy elders to be the worst of all heresies. It’s a struggle, and we’re all in it. Let’s NOT be divided but unite for Orthodoxy; fight for the ones being persecuted, imprisoned, and beaten daily, NOT for the ones organizing a fancy dinner for a stripper/actor in NYC in September …
The leadership academy of the WEF produced all sorts of aspiring leaders following the global-homo agenda, where Putin was a star student. So, do I believe Putin has the best interest of his country and Orthodoxy? So far, it appears so, BUT caveat emptor….we shall see how things play out provided we are blessed to live another day.
The Athenagoras Human Rights Award is another example of how the church hierarchs and the EP Archons tap with sword, the shoulders of their willful cronies who follow the marching orders of the antichrist. It’s an embarrassment as they smile for their photo-op and pretend we are all on board.
I certainly am not…..
Team Jesus, we spend a lot of time in the AI digital casino which offers 24/7 dopamine hits. Each of us are experiencing the AI psychology used to keep us entertained, divided, and engaged in rhetoric that gets us nowhere. I, too, am a victim and a perpetrator. I resonated with your above response. We are on the same page.
Recently, I left a blog space which used conversational bots to divide and conquer minds. It took me over a year to figure this out. What we are experiencing with Orthodox Christian hierarchs is a giant leap into bed with government. This is a huge problem.
Check out the Lucis Trust at the UN. They are in the UN. Read carefully their belief in one world religion and their view of the Son of God. These men in cassocks giving awards to one another is just one of many small acts of turning their face from God. Thank goodness Helleniscope reveals what they do.
Jane….please be careful. The internet is not a safe place as you must use the utmost discretion before joining in blogs, live streams, and even homilies from certain clergy. And never give your credit card or personal info.. And yes, we have all been sucked into the vortex, purposefully.
The UN began as it’s main purpose of ushering in the antichrist. I’m aware. Thank you and be safe…..
Team Jesus. Amen. God bless.
