You obviously do not know the difference between Sin and Christian Love! Let me enlighten you briefly.
God does care about our sexual orientation, which he and only HE has created. “Sodomy” came from the two cities called Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible/the Old Testament. God destroyed these two cities through sulfur and fire because the people engaged in abomination, adultery, homosexuality, idolatry, and pridefulness (which are sins). God destroyed every form of life, including the children, so they did not reproduce homosexuality! Which is not God’s creation, nor will it be accepted by our faith and the Greek Orthodoxy. Today, those cities are The Dead Sea (meaning totally “dead” with no form of life). Get it, Mrs. Bousis?
Furthermore, the monks who rejected Archbishop Elpidophoros’ visit to Mt. Athos are in the right because our faith and religion, which stems over 2000 years, is not going to be changed, manipulated, or forced to accept sins that God has outlined. Unfortunately, some Archbishops, Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishops, and priests have sold their souls to the dark side for power, money, and control! And it exists among other denominations as well. The more and more they proceed in these sinful steps, the more God will intercede and destroy all, worse than he did Sodom and Gomorrah!
You have accepted your children’s homosexuality as a lifestyle since and have adopted children. As you stated in your article, baptizing your grandchildren is OK. But you should have gone to a church or monastery and baptized them in the most low-key and humble manner instead of publicizing it in all the media and putting them in the limelight in a very egotistical way. Satan fell and will never repent because of his Ego, Mrs. Bousis!
Also, our hierarchs, Archbishops Elpidophoros, Patriarch Bartholomew, and Met. Nathaniel of Illinois (who blessed the new Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and allowed Catholic Cardinal Bernardin to take place in this), which is wrong! (Educate yourself, Mrs. Bousis how the Pope/Vatican has treated us throughout history and has stolen our saint’s relics) and Nathaniel has approved throughout the Chicagoland churches to have girls/females as part of the altar and church services, which is wrong! He is changing our sacraments as he and other hypocrites see fit; it will not have a good ending for themselves. Also, Bishop Athenagoras is currently attending the Consecration of the Hindu Temple! And not to mention another affiliation of yours, Demetrios of Mokissos, who “resigned”, and many among us in our Churches. And you are pointing the fingers at the Holy Monks for being hypocrites? The ones I mentioned above are your hypocrites, who are planting seeds of these sins to form the One New Word Order they are all a part of. We Greek people see through their dark souls! And will ΝΟΤ accept their BS!
Mrs. Bousis, it’s a shame you are 100% Greek, and with Greek roots, you always mention, and you know nothing about your Greek faith, history, and God’s love, sins, and laws he has created for mankind! All you know is how to be in the limelight because you are wealthy and constantly say “I” have dedicated, “I” gave to charity and other philanthropic causes. The egoismo “I” nor your money will save your soul when you cross over and come before the 20 telonia (tolls/judgments) in God’s presence. (Read up on that cause it seems you are clueless on this too). Satan fell from his “ego”.
It sounds like from your article that you do not know what honest confession is, nor have you found the correct humble spiritual father to guide you and your family. Since your children from a young age were “different” (homosexual); you should of found a sincere humble spiritual father at Mt. Athos or others in Greece, or Elder Ephraim of Arizona etc… and you and your family perhaps, would not be in this situation of portraying the victims on social media.
You and your family should read the books on some of the Saints like St. Paisios and how they cured and saved a lot of men from homosexuality.
As to your response to Ft. Karpathiou, you commented you have the right to be who you want in your home! and if you and your family did not want to become a public spectacle, then keep your homosexuality/sins private in your homes and do not share/ publicize them in our society, and in the media, because this feeds your egos.
Another piece of advice for you: Now that you are at your older phase of your life, you should leave the limelight, wealth, and your material lifestyle, become a nun, and devote yourself to God and pray for the salvation of sins of your children and all your families; so the light be shown to all of you.

May I quote our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ:
“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” -Matthew 19:4-6
These are the words God the Son spoke Himself. If you do not believe this you are calling Christ a liar and are not a Christian of any kind let alone Orthodox.

Yes eunuchs who have been made that way by others are the commonplace homosexuals –
they live for depravity & curse on God’s Law,
but the eunuchs who choose to live like monastics — they live for the kingdom of heaven Christ declared
