New York – United States: On January 11, 2024, Metropolitan Saba, the head of the North American Archdiocese of the Antiochian Orthodox Church, paid a visit to the Synodal residence of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in New York.

The visit began with Metropolitan Saba venerating several holy relics held within the Synodal Cathedral, including the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God and icons from the Ipatiev House belonging to the Russian Royal Family. He was then guided through the Cathedral and residence by Metropolitan Nicholas, who discussed their historical significance.

A private lunch followed, where both Metropolitans conversed in a warm and friendly atmosphere, discussing matters of mutual interest. This exchange offered an opportunity to deepen their understanding and cooperation.

The visit concluded with the exchange of Christmas gifts and further veneration of holy relics held within the lower church. This gesture symbolized the shared faith and traditions binding the two churches together.
